I just was watching the Adeptus Custodes vs Tyranid battle where Ash just kept rolling 1's or failing to hit a 4+ on 3 dice over and over again... so this seems like a rebalancing of the dice stats =p
Gods I wish people played this game on Long Island. I'd dump all my dust collecting warhammer stuff in a second and pick up this game

Who ever picks their side goes 2nd. Giants only have 4+ saves not 3+. Shield that guards the realms of men was officially ruled to only block d3 when played, that the vow portion has missed its timing to go off. Also the Vet's counter attack order is the same timing as the Shield card so you can only play the card or use the order. Though once the card is attached the vow portion does not have conflicting timing with counter attack.
I was led to believe that max hand size for tactics is 5. Is this a different edition/ different rule set being played here?
They're playing with the first wave of boxes and therefore the original ruleset. The 2021 rulebook has some amended language and rules. Current rules, you're limited to 5 cards in your hand. Before the 2021 rulebook, there was no limit.
This faction needs more releases. Hopefully the Rattleshirt followers are a game changer and playing/watching them isn’t so uncompetitive
i think the free folk aren't quite ready for play yet, they need more units to be released. Everyone keeps saying the thenns will make them work better and it makes sense. I haven't heard of anyone having a good game with them yet.
i would recommend using your soldiers first then go in with the giants, sending all the giants in first is where it went wrong
I agree with everything you're saying - they're terrible right now.
Im not entirely sure I agree.. he ended up losing a total of 5 attacks by rolling 1's with the Giants. They need something to let them reroll once, and they'd dominate.

The giant doesn’t hit harder the more damaged he is. His damage reduces as he takes damage and becomes injured.
At 13:40, Ghost should have taken a panic test after returning to the board.
15:03 - Tormand’s unit charged through a bog. They needed a 5 as the lowest from two dice rolls.
Turrican The Giant does indeed deal MORE damage as the Giant itself suffers more wounds.

so am I correct that 7 points gets you one scorpion builder crew, and that the box, unlike every other unit box, has two units in it (and as it happens, the only two you can use since it's "limited")?

I think the money bag has to be restore wounds and remove condition on the same unit.
It does. Normally I’m using Aemon to split those effects and it slipped my mind.

Nope. You just can't draw at start of turn if you have more than 3 and don't discard down to less.
15:50 you counted the result of 2 of a d3 roll with a d6 as 2. Don't know how you count but usually a 1 and 2 on a d6 is a 1 on a d3, a 3 and 4 on a d6 is a 2 on a d3 and so on. ;)
It's a D3 dice, so the 2 is a 2.

see you guys are doing the shield of the realm of men how i thought it works you get to block 1 d3 for playing and 1 for owing the bags my club is convinced that you only get 1 d3
It was just FAQ'd to only trigger once when played. RAW it would have triggered twice but they've ruled the timing is the same for both effects.

Your lines of site are all cocked up. You can't fire THROUGH a unit to hit the giants
Chapell Brock We never did. Measure range from the centre point. Measure Line of Sight from any point on the front 90* of the Unit to any point on the target unit. All those shots were legal. You only need a 1mm line from anywhere on the front to anywhere on the target to see it.

Same here, I was tempted to buy the Freefolk starter set... but after watching this video. Think I'll pass on this game, far too many combo cards and not enough reward for actual tactics. That unit that had Jon Snow in it should be paste, yet in the game it just kept on healing back up. Also Warmachines that are that mobile and can fire through units are a bit over powered.
