That was brutal with the few excellent rolls at key points from Clarence. Also can't fault the tactics.
The Night's watch crossbows are also great. That retreat and fire is very good.

As a Watch player. The first thing I learned when facing Targs with Drogo, is to shut him the f**k first. Even if he's in a unit of Flayed men. Which is why I love taking Othell as commander to just to nuke them.
At 18:26 that move was illegal as he didn't control the message at the time. If it weren't for the fact I'm a NW player myself I wouldn't have noticed lol. Still we all mess up, not having a go at you.

23:20 - bit cheeky of Clarence to re-roll the charge die, or did I miss something?
Ash was the one who said the actual charge had to come after the shot, so that technically invalidated the die. Regardless, because of Dany, Clarence would get a reroll anyways, so it was also technically correct however you decided to rule the first roll.

It’s a turntable so you can accurately pivot your units.

Good game, thanks. Surprised at this outcome, don't see Targs win too often (especially as Clarence's cards weren't too helpful.
I still maintain that this game should use a mercenary system similar to Warmachine/Hordes, where every Neutral unit states which factions they'll work for. The Stormcrows should work for the Targs, fine, but the Boltons working for them is just... dumb.
This has the double-benefit of helping to reduce the power creep Neutrals can have on the game by limiting certain combos, as well as keeping things more in-theme. The Boltons working for the Free Folk is no less fluffy than them working for Dany...
It's not like this would even be hard to apply, since they have an amazing app, plus www.asoiafbuilder.com/, so... it's not like people are sitting around shuffling cards to build a deck anyways. Just auto-update it in the app and voila, done.
I agree. I recently faced a Greyjoy army that had Brienne. I can’t see her ever joining forces with the Greyjoys or Boltons.
Tracker's cool, but I'm more of a fan of Rubble.
At 40 mins Ash moved back onto the corpse pile but didn't reach the token. He slid the token to his base and claimed the points. 🤨

Most youtube people have a good month or 2 of content backed up to be released so this would have all been before lockdown.
Pretty sure Ash specifically mentioned it in one of his videos earlier. A lot of other channels said the same thing (miniwargaming)

The Xbows used ready, Aim, fire to retreat ? So, as you are performing a range attack, you can move X as you are in range and Pypar gives you one more free move after the attack ?
Only Infantry leave corpse piles.
You can shift anywhere in a ranged attack provided you end in range. The second move does not require you to be in range of your attack with Pypar’s shift.

@@SkaerKrow Don't look good for the channel In my opinion, look how fast Ash or Owen paints new stuff for the Channel, or some paint on them would be preferable.
@@peterosullivan2669 It looks fine for the channel. This was recorded not long after the box released. It might bother you? Which is fine, but whereas you're here for painting, others of us care more about seeing new content on the table.
