Here's my version of Diesel's Theme. Hope you enjoy!

This theme always gave me chills as a kid, ever since I first watched Pop Goes the Diesel. It fits him so well: suave, ominous, oily, mechanical, slightly threatening and extremely creepy. In other words, it just screams "THIS IS THE BAD GUY!!!!" You, good sir, have taken it and compounded the effect. I tip my hat to you, sir.
Indeed. One could also say it brings to mind images of a snake slithering through the grass, and considering how Diesel creeps around the yard causing trouble, it is certainly fitting for his character.

@@elsbridgefilms5005 That's quite all right. I'm not one to get into long, heated arguments with people online anyways, as I feel my energy could be spent better elsewhere (like listening to music from my childhood).
The look on diesel's face, you almost expect him to yell out "What are you looking at?"
Diesel was pretty much the only guy I remembered out of the entire cast. I think it was because he was so different.
He has such nice theme. I had no idea.
Better than that darned theme tune, any way.
This piece of Diesel's theme makes him almost like a villain, nice music.

Euan Mort He is. He may not be in the crappy modern Thomas universe but that really doesn't count.
He isn't a villain because he just tries to show the Fat Controller how good diesels are like on how Zorran and his mates try to steal the Star Tugs jobs, I don't call that being a villain.
Euan Mort It's not the intent but the means, the Z Stacks are an even better example, they use villainous and underhanded means to achieve their goals, that's what make them the villains.
YEAH DEVIOUS DIESEL! One character who is very high on my favourite character list.
Not sure if I already made a comment on this, but I love what you did with this arrangement! Im not sure why, but the Spanish guitar mixed with the original clarinet lead gives it this real Latin/Arabic vibe and the shadiness of the melody reinforces Diesel's slimy personality.
4 years later, still gives me chills. I have goosebumps, that's how awesome this is! Wonderful work!

My little boy (3) absolutely loves these SilverDragonTV Thomas themes - these arrangements sound so full and well-made - we play them loud in my car as we're driving! I wish there was more - like the Mavis theme and of course the Donald & Douglas theme.
This is awsome. I must say, I really do think that Thomas the Tank Engine was at his peak in the 1st two seasons.
The English Horn part sounds so beautiful.

I'm playing this theme while running the locomotive that some website said was the American version of Diesel.
One of my favorite themes imagine if you play this in the dark no lights and you fall asleep to it and in your dream diesel is trying exterminate you creeepy

(Drives down the road, hears this on the radio, and sees a black class 08 shunter cross the crossing)
Me: NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Goes home, listens to James's theme, falls asleep)
James: I am a splendid serial killer! Ready for anything! I'm supposed to be white, but my paint is blood! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (BLOWS WHISTLE)
Me: Fuck you, creepypastas!
James: Kidding! Wanna play cards and smoke two joints?
(Wakes up. James drives through my house and we smoke two joints and play cards forever)

@maxm2317 Thanks ;) Yeah, for some reason, this tune always struck me as having a "spaghetti western" type melody. I may have also connected it with that genre because it's the story of an outlaw who rides into town and causes trouble for the local hero.
Love the bassoon and oboe in the opening! Also like the Spanish guitar! Definitely my favorite remake of the theme. Well done!!!!
Diesel and his bad ways
You have redefined a devious theme for a devious Diesel! Marvelous!
For something that was made in 2010 and STILL!!! (I mean its hardly surprising) holds up to this day.

I don't quite remember how it got to that moment but I kinda felt sorry for him when he was up past his fender in pond water. Yeah, I guess he was an anti villain.

Diesel is a anti-villain unlike the rest of the diesel engines and therefore he is not truly evil.
Although Diesel wants to prove that diesel engines are better than steam engines and made them miserable, on occasion Diesel has been shown to help the steam engines.
Despite his oily personality and malicious attitude, Diesel does want to prove he is a really useful engine.
He is oily, malicious, devious, scheming and full of ideas to get revenge.
But from Season 10 and onwards, Diesel shows that he actually does have a good side in him, but one would still have to look quite deep to find it.
Hypnotic yet cool
Now, here's a theme I've always liked... now I like it even more. I've been trying to get my hands on a program called Auralia so I can write some sheet music for Season 1 & 2 themes. I already piece themes together as it is (and, dare I say it, one of the best in that business) and boy, do I enjoy it. I'm going to try and do Diesel's soon.
