the original is not an upbeat, it is a balad by los chunguitos. Is not as slow as this version but is on the flamenco side... Flamenco music is so beautiful, so passionate.
It's kinda like how people cry at weddings, though. It's the raw emotion more than anything.

Lyrically there's not much to it, but it's the way she sings it.
I also love Aunque Es de Noche (official video version). This last one is based on a medieval poem written by an imprisoned monk about the spiritual love for his God. I'm not religious, but it's a stunning song. She also makes it about death as well within the symbolism of the video.
