- Slicktops are way better than sunroof cars, but a carbon slicktop roof is even better!

Great work man. Awesome video. Can’t wait to see how it turns out.
Thank you!
bro, rip that middle roof skin off and just leave a frame, do it properly, bonding it on the skin can lead to separation due to different contraction and expansion ratios, like the singer porsches that are cracking and delaminating, then on the edges use paintable elatic sealer so where the edges meet the metal theres enough for it to expand and contract, if you filler it its gonna crack . subbed, look forward to seeing this project
Appreciate the advice. The roof is on and not coming off
Why leave steel roof in?
I wanted to leave as much structural metal as possible since I'm only running a half cage. Your supposed to cut the steel roof out but I didn't want to run a full cage
i think it is silly to do this. The car is already so light. doing so can compromise the already weak rigidity of the aging car.,
That's why you are supposed to run a full cage when doing this conversion
Your car man but seems like a real silly expensive way to add weight to a car. Scratching my head using it as a “skin”
Your absolutely right it was an expensive way to add weight to the car. It still weighs less than if the complete sunroof assembly was in the car. It's not meant to be the lightest car. It's getting full sound deadening and a full interior
@@themaskeddriver love a slick top 👍🏼 I take back the silly part!
