Those are some good tips. But suppose you have a leather wide brimmed hat. That has a leather braided band around the crown. But has a metal tack in the back, that's tacked it to the brim? Any ideas on how to remove it & put a better one on without leaving holes in the brim?

We'd have to see a picture or video of what you talking about.

Garth, I have a couple of ideas for hatbands for you if you’d like to hear my ideas. Now the WESA show isn’t held in Denver, I don’t have the chance to pass along my ideas to you. Cheers!

Great question, we are going to be doing a video on the shape/contour. We have none, single and double so it depends on what hats you have. Hampton/Straight, Bromley/Straight, El Dorado/Double

@@AlexWalker_Ghost Wish we could see some pictures/video of it so we could help you out a little better. If the wire is bent out of shape, try gently using some pliers with some padding in-between to help keep your trip from being damaged. Move slowly, because you also don't want to snap the wire in the process. Or take it to a hat shop and see if they can help you re-shape it.

I am afraid to take any glued ones off. I buy an unbranded and add hat bands. The ones with bands stay the way they are.
