Equipment needed to make a leather hat: dies and a press for cutting the leather, heavy duty sewing machine... and a Bic lighter.

This has actually put my mind so much at ease. I live in the UK and had a hat custom made. After wearing it a few times, I noticed the liner was becoming detached and loose. Obviously this is not an issue at all. Thankyou.

I've had several communications with them. I was finally put in touch with Cary from the Texas location today who finally made some phone calls and got back to me. As of today I have enough trim for two hats being sent to me for the final repair. Thank you to all who have assisted me in resurrecting my beloved El Dorado.

Just got mine today & it's Awesome. As someone who wears cowboy hats only everyday and have many this will be one of my everyday wear hats now summer & winter, it's well made and fits great

I am trying to have a Voodoo Hatter El Dorado repaired. It needs the rear crown seam reglued and stitched and a new hat wire and trim. I have had this for almost 8 years, and have a strong attachment. I know it can be saved, please respond.

Problem is being leather in the heat of summer your going to find it Hot and Sweaty which is why I dumped my Ozzie leather bush hat and went for oiled canvas instead.

Hey.. that's my hat! I've been rocking an El Dorado since.. 2005 or 2006, I think? It's still in excellent condition, though I do need to order a replacement inner sweat band. That hat has drawn so much interest that I used to carry a stack of business cards from the leather shop where I bought it from, to hand out to people who wanted to buy mine off of my head. Tragically, Fred Eisen's shop in New Hope closed down some years back, but I still point people to your site whenever possible. Thanks for making my single favorite accessory of all time. It's a pleasure and an honor to wear.
