  • In this lampworking glassblowing video, I show how to make an inside-out marble. This technique is used for making pipes but I figured why not try it out and see what happens.

Omg they really have. Some of my older videos are embarrassingly awful lol. I'm in the process of re-making my older videos with better sound, color, and camera angles. All the best! Sim

Hi Mike! I'm sorry I forgot to feature your art in this video! I'm writing myself a note to remind myself for next time.

I thought the marbles both looked really good. I think the inside outs are interesting. I'll have to find your inside out pipe video now. And that 2 peice blue Sherlock came out really great.

Thanks Eric! I haven't made an inside-out pipe video yet... That's a project that has been on my to-do list for a while.

@@FusingShop I was going to say I couldn't find it was going to ask if it was labeled something else. I can't wait until you make that video. I'm excited to see that. Maybe 1 of your next videos if you don't have anything planned out yet. Id Definitely be interested in watching it.

Just got a Mirage. Could you make a video about flame chemistry on the flames you use to silver fume please! I am super new and I really enjoy your videos. Thanks!

Hey Buddy! Nice! The Mirage is a great torch and it will provide you with enough firepower for larger projects. Fuming can be tricky and I do plan on making a fume video soon. Make sure to preheat your glass so the fume can stick to it.

@@FusingShop wow what a quick response! Thank you. What i noticed was how small your flame is when fuming style. As i said I was new and a new torch. Upgrade from the lynx, :) Only tired fuming like 10 times and still a mystery to me.

@@buddyshroom Hey Buddy! Yeah I try to respond within 1-2 days =). Yes, I run my flame very small when I fume. It can be very frustrating when the fume doesn't stick to the glass and all you end up with is a clear tube lol. I'll try to make the video sometime this week.

Love your videos. I have a Bobcat with residential natural gas and a 5 lpm concentrator, so things take a longer and I have to be careful to flash frequently. I’ll have to try fuming. I love the effects. I built an exhaust hood with a 180 cfm fan to the outside, so it should be safe.
One suggestion based on painful experience: Don’t lean on your elbows while working. I ended up with an infected bursa sac on one elbow from doing that. It took forever to clear up and I had to wear an elbow brace to put pressure on the bursa sac. I made moveable arm rests for my forearms after that and roller stands with roller bearings to support rods and puntys.

Where is a good place to buy glass tubing at? I see a lot of site but never know which is the best.
