They can talk about 8k all day, but until they can hit 4K reliably they shouldn’t worry about 8k.
Gotta sell those 8k tvs tho
absolutely 8k they can't reach 4k and we are talking about 8k with a 500 euros dollar machine what the hell and that bs on the box my god man !
8k is an absolutely ridiculous resolution. Better if they *never* even think about something as laughably outrageous as 8k. They better focus on 4k@60 and later 4k@120.
@@2hotflavored666 Realistically speaking I don't see them actually targeting 8K besides a sticker on the box and maybe with some very easy to run games.
@@ProfessorJohnny69 Indeed.
Clips are a good idea.
Yea I love this 30 minute clip
“Clips” 30 minutes long 😂
Before targeting 8K, they should target most games to run at 4K 60/120Hz VRR ray tracing enabled.
😂
4k 120fps is the exact same pixel count per second as 8k 30fps.
Both being close to 1 billion.
@@christinaedwards5084 Who wants to play on 30fps?
@@empyreangames1325 my point was if you want 4k 120fps it’s the exact same as 8k 30fps.
Welcome to marketing 101.
4k = 3840 x 2160 @ 120hz = 995,328,000 pixels rendered every second.
8k = 7680 x 4320 @ 30hz = 995,328,000 pixels rendered every second.
So should they target 8k or not? 🤔
@@christinaedwards5084 If it is feasible, then having the option to switch between 8K at 30fps and 4K at 120fps would be a good option. But playing games @ 30fps is so outdated and everyone wants to play games running on at least 60fps.
@@empyreangames1325 obviously no one wants to play @ 30fps, I certainly don’t. Dumped my series x in favour of a pc because of 30fps starfield.
Did cost 3 times as much but has 3 times the performance. 😂
I think higher frame rates have become a bigger selling point than higher resolutions nowadays. Even in the TV space with 120Hz and VRR.
If PS5 Pro means more 120Hz games, or what would be a 30Hz game being 60Hz on Pro, I’d be there day one.
If it also meant reprojected 120Hz PSVR2 titles became native 90/120Hz, I’d be there day minus one, breaking into a warehouse.
A PS5 Pro would have no effect on the VR2's hardware.
Also the ps5 already runs games at 120 and it has nothing to do with the ps5/pro it’s the developers genius. Have you seen a ps5? This proves people who know nothing and watch one DF video start talking like idiots. And frame rates only matter on pc with small screens but consoles are about next lever graphics but adding higher frames is a welcome addition but not at the cost of graphics.
agree and more or less that's the point of the Pro and bigger SSD maybe..
@vigorgaming8 Hopefully, instead of the 825GB. Only having 667GB to use was a mistake imo. We shouldn't have to change out the SSD as quickly as we have had to do. For those who can afford it anyway.
@@matharak I think it will be at least 1TB, but my prediction is that they will put something like 1.5TB ssd, I don't think that they will go full 2TB..
Imagine the standard of native 4K/60 RT for fidelity and 1440/120 for performance on a ps5 pro. That would be nice
PS5 Pro should do 4K 120 FPS VRR on all games or it shouldn't exist
@@SlayerSeraph base PS5 should do 4k/60fps or it shouldn't exist. But it does. REAL next gen gaming is 4k60fps. We will see PS5 Pro holiday 2024

Upscaled 1440p to 4k at 60 is still a great target and maybe some 120hz options for competitive shooters at a decent Res would be a nice step but I still feel like this gen is untapped fully yet .
@AlaEddin-lb7vl not every game and the ones that do run crap Res . Halo infinite is an obvious example and the 120 doesn't lock either

@@jarde1989 A lot of esport/indie titles can run or do run at 120 fps. Rocket League is one which I regularly play at 120.
I think what Jim Ryan was saying is we barely scratched the surface of PS5 why would we do A Pro🤷
If the Pro enables 60 FPS gaming in todays 30 FPS-only games it might just be interesting.
The PS5 is already powerful enough to do that. Devs just don't take advantage of that
Movie games don’t need to be 60fps.
@@COOLFRIEND why so salty?
@@mach1one is that a salty opinion? You’re the one that kind of sounds salty. Not every game should be 60+fps unless the gameplay requires it (fast, precision input). If a game is a “movie game”, atmosphere and story come first, which is better suited to 30fps for the exact same reason we like watching film/tv in 24fps and 60fps. The reality is most modern games don’t require the precision advantage 60+fps can give you.
Frame rate is a stylistic choice as much as it is a practical choice.
@@COOLFRIEND In your opinion, which specific game could be a "movie game"? Please provide one example.
As long as its possible to actually buy one when it launches....im down with a Pro.
I vividly remember 120hz to be a PS5 selling point, while most devs target 60hz for the performance modes. Unlike 8K, 120hz ‘only’ requires double performance, which is achievable with recent HW developments (and features like frame insertion).
VRR help a lot for some reason.
Supposedly it should be much close to Freesync and G-Sync,but it acts more like something in-between those and FSR/DLSS.
Like a bridge of sorts.
It is most puzzling feature of them all.
I own a launch-day PS5 and I seen some amazing games on it but I think I'll just stick with my base PS5. At least until next gen. I mean it was only earlier this year that people actually started getting their hands on a PS5 and now they're talking about old rushing a PS5 Pro
What great games
@nikohunt5187 you have Google, use it.
PS5 is tracking alongside PS4 in terms of sales, and will accelerate ahead now supply is available. There will always be people who only bought a system recently. For others they've had a machine since launch, it will be 4 years by the time PS5 Pro launches. In technology terms that's a lifetime. It becomes even more of a no brainer when you can still get very good resale value for your PS5. It's basically a £200 upgrade after 4 years.
@@jaglemans6778 my whole thing as far is that people just recently got their hands on a PS 5 because of the scalpers. But I guess we can see what their version of 8K gaming could be. and both PS 5 and Xbox series X say that they can already hit 8K gaming on the outside of a box . I mean there is processing power in these next GEN consoles to hit 8K gaming but none of these developers want to develope any games for it that support that. Unreal engine five is still a work in progress in most games are not using unreal engine five yet.
@jaglemans6778 Well said, Sir! 👏
When these Pro models come to the market , it causes a surge of used base consoles into the mix. Pretty smart as some buyers of ps5 can probably only afford a $350 preowned disc version. People forget that ps4 sales truly exploded once the slim came out at $200-$250. That’s when I got my first ps4 in 2018(a preowned slim at $200).
We really need to stop calling the Q a 'handheld'. It's a Gamepad, same as the WiiU's.
But doesnt the Q lite do remote play via wifi outside of the house?
Don’t see myself getting involved with 8k for a very long time so the only thing I’m concerned with is bumping up the 4K frame rates and improving ray tracing which it seems like the pro is going to help solve so if they can manage pushing 4K60 on the pro for most games then I’ll be in line day one for it
As bad as an idea this lets face it we prolly still gonna buy that shit for a minimal increase to performance. Wish it would be like some sort of addon to an og PS5

Initially console had just 4MB of Rambus DRAM.

8.
Higher resolution, Higher framerates(unless developers decided to ignore framerates and push everything else instead like it happened with Perfect Dark that you couldn't even start in SP without it🤣),better overal visuals.
Switch is much stronger in Docked mode.
So IF Nintendo can do it,why not Sony as well?
Perhaps they should just release some simple to use overclocking tool for PS5 owners to overclock CPU,GPU and RAM few hundred megahertz each.
That would help to some degree.
If 30 fps becomes standard for base hardware, that's when pro hardware should be an option for those gamers who want higher performance no matter what.

I think the purpose is more so for 120hz support. Many games run at 120hz with highly degraded graphical settings. As games progress and become more GPU intensive some developers may even opt not to include a 120hz mode on base ps5 at all, similar to how series x has more 120hz support than series s.

I thought nanite was suppose to help with performance because the way it only renders visible stuff or was that some othe UE5 feature?
Hope not only more powerful, but also has a better design.
Steady 4K 60fps and I am 100% getting this on day ONE !
The ps6 should be able to run every UE5 game at 4k60fps but when the next gen UE6 comes out it will most likely struggle to run those games at 4k and the same cycle is gonna repeat and we'll need a ps6 pro
I'll gladly take it if it provides 60fps at 4k with "quality mode" in games - I play games at 30fps right now because I just can't stand how blurry the image looks on a lot of performance modes or how quality gets degraded. Overall 30fps is fine, but the input lag you feel is insane. It would also save me from switching back and forth between performance modes to see which one I can tolerate more. When I bought ps5 at start I loved the fact I can just open game, put in in quality mode and have it running at 60fps after it got patched for current gen. They could also paint very clear distinction between the consoles this way. Normal PS5 - two graphics modes 30fps quality and 60 performance as always and pro would be hitting quality at 60 straight up, so less work for developers also.
Ah - and VR. Quality mode for VR headsets would be very welcome as for example GT5 has very visible LOD transitions on cars and the foviated rendering even to does its job, is quite distracting with all the aliasing happening on your vision periphery.
That was because most early ps5 games were essentially enhanced ps4 games. So the extra resources could easily be moved towards frames.
The only reason we will get 60fps in the future is if sony forces a 60fps mandate rather than allowing developers to choose how to use the hardware
The ps6 should be able to run every UE5 game at 4k60fps but when the next gen UE6 comes out it will most likely struggle to run those games at 4k and the same cycle is gonna repeat and we'll need a ps6 pro
For me, pro models for both PS5 or Xbox Series X doesn't make any sense. It's been 3 years since launch and it's only now developers are daring to ditch last gen consoles which is completely understandable considering it's been only few months since both PS5 and XSX are readily available.
We are spoiled and doomed if we are already demanding hardware upgrade. The current gen consoles have been barely put to there best use and I firmly believe this applies to Series S as well.
We don't need another underutilized powerful hardware. We need games!!
Xbox jumped the gun and the Series X is the Pro model of the Series S. Makes sense for a Pro model of the PS5 to come out now. Day one buy for me. I am assuming this will even help PS VR2 reach better framerates without resorting to reprojection. But yes we need games!!
100% Agreed.
It won't be underutilized considering many new games have the ps5's internal resolution dipping regularly below 1080p, like remnant 2 having to run at 720p to reach 60 FPS and that's without everything cranked up. A PS5 pro will be very useful for these new ue5 games, mainly to ray trace most likely. The current gen consoles will probably still have 4k 60 and 1440p 60 targets, just with 900-1200-1600p upscaling

@@OlibelusPS4 pro to PS5 is fair enough, because it's (in theory, at least) 4k60 on higher end games, a generational leap. PS5 pro being advertised as 4k60 would leave more of a sour taste in the mouth, given that PS5 was marketed as being able to play PS5 games at 4k60.
I think it would just be a performance mode console. 60+ fps would always be an option (outside of poorly made games that are locked at 30, also older games) going forward. I'm sure Sony sees the Starfield 30 fps controversy (which makes complete sense for the wild galactic scope of that game), and thinks they don't want to experience that when/if a first party title isn't able to hit a 60 fps (which will happen, some cutting edge graphical powerhouse title of a game will release and be incredible but won't be able to hit 60 fps on base hardware). If Starfield was running at 60 fps. You entitled dipshits would complain over and over about frame dips. You people are never happy.
In the case of ffxiv, I think it lacked a bit of optimization and maybe less intensive graphics. And for starfield, is an open world with sandbox elements on a console and made by bethesda.
@@MrTrebol4hojas Lol a Playstation exclusive not optimized for the only platform it got released on... copium is heavy in these comments. PS5 cannot run modern games at 4k60fps. PS5 Pro is confirmed and hopefully it can run 4k60fps, they will immediately take my $700 for that.
or maybe devs could do a bit better job... you know... I mean FFXVI certainly doesnt look better than Horizon Forbidden West and it definitely isnt as open world as HFW is and it certainly doesnt have as many mechanics as HFW and yet that cross platform game runs at 80-90 fps in much higher resolution, or locked 60 fps at close to 4K resolution... so yeah... it isnt just the hardware. people find that 1 or 2 games that arent properly optimized or coded and act as if it is the very proof of new hardware required. That 100% PC mentality... I am not saying that refreshes shouldnt exist, but just that we shouldnt consider it the first chance we get.
On a final note, this fixation with numbers is insane in this hobby... We dont need 4K 60 fps on consoles. 1440p with clean IQ and 60 fps is fine. There are a lot of tricks like checker boarding or dynamic res scaling that can give nice clean IQ and saving a lot of resources needed for more important things like actual gfx fidelity.
FFXVI is running on a very new game engine which is an evolution of the previous luminous and crystal tools engines. It's hardly indicative of any serious flaws with the PS5's design, but rather the immaturity of Square-Enix's internal technology.

🚨 Hey, does anyone have a concrete answer to this broad question (and a follow up question) for which I cannot find objective answers: does the ps5 offer Dolby atmos using lossy Dolby digital plus for ARC tv owners or is it exclusive to lossless Dolby MAT over eARC only?
I know the PS5 delivers Dolby atmos via uncompressed lossless Dolby MAT which requires an eARC TV to transmit Dolby atmos to a Sonos Arc soundbar (which I will shortly be receiving); however I have the LG C8 OLED TV with ARC and it does support Dolby atmos; but instead of uncompressed Dolby MAT, it can handle compressed Dolby digital plus atmos so does anyone know if the PS5 converts the Dolby MAT into Dolby digital plus if it detects there is an ARC instead of an eARC TV?
I’ve read that it is straightforward for Sony to make the availability of Dolby digital plus for getting Dolby atmos if there is no eARC for the Dolby MAT packaged Dolby atmos file on the PS5 just like when uncompressed lossless Dolby TrueHD signals are usually/easily converted into compressed Dolby digital plus where there is an ARC instead of an eARC; but it seems Sony has not allowed you to choose Dolby digital plus over Dolby MAT for the Dolby atmos type from the PS5 menu and it’s not enabled the straightforward automatic conversion of the Dolby MAT audio into Dolby digital plus so that ARC TV users can also enjoy Dolby atmos audio. This is frustrating because apparently this doesn’t even require painstaking work and the tools to provide such a conversion widely exist.
This seems especially bizarre as PS5 game audio is usually compressed anyway and wasn’t encoded in Dolby atmos to begin with and the 3D audio is from existing Tempest 3D AudioTech engine and this is by no means anywhere close to the high size and bandwidth of uncompressed Dolby true hd so it should’ve been made available for Dolby digital plus type of Dolby atmos to begin with since the lossless Dolby MAT form of the ps5 3D audio in theory couldn’t possibly sound far superior to its compressed Dolby digital plus variant since the native audio source is compressed and not native Dolby atmos to begin with! In theory it shouldn’t be as big a leap in difference in movies between its Dolby digital plus and Dolby TrueHD audio variants.
So it seems like a very unreasonable bottleneck for Sony to not allow ps5 Dolby atmos over ARC TV’s. What’s even more frustrating is that there is Dolby MAT 2.0 which was designed to make compatibility over ARC easier and removing the exclusive eARC requirement but it looks like Sony hasn’t taken advantage of that.
If someone has a solution other than HD Fury Arcana to get the PS5 to make its Dolby atmos available in Dolby digital plus so that it can work on an LG C8 OLED TV with ARC connected to a Sonos Arc soundbar it would be greatly appreciated.
The use case here is solid 4k 60, and 1440p 120, without other compromises. Plus more beef for PSVR2 and possible frame rate improvements there.

Why is this video only 720P???? WTF????
We have only just started getting PS5 only titles which means that developers can focus on the PS5 only. I am somewhat disappointed that Sony seems to be dropping the PS5 when people (myself included) have only in the last 6 months be able to walk into a shop and buy one, at least in the uk. Development costs will probably increase as devs will have to spend time and money optimising all of the different consoles versions. This will be passed onto the consumer. Probably a touch of sour grapes on my side as only bought a PS5 in February 2023 and looks like it will be overshadowed in about a years time…😢
They are not dropping the ps5 at all ,the ps5 pro will not replace the ps5. They will simply just bump up the performance on the ps5 pro while the ps5 would be where the games would be developed like they did with the base ps4 ,nothing will change , however it would be great for those that want to have a higher performance.
@@Omar-kl3xp I realise PS5 will still be sold . My point is that developers will likely not spend as much time optimising games for original PS5 . They will just rely on the Pro performance to reach their intended benchmark. Not to mention yet another console for the devs to manage. I think the PS4 pro had a 20% share of the PS4 overall sales. So it’s not a big benefit to Sony. I am just frustrated that the original PS5 will be sidelined. I'm interested in Elden Ring on the PS5 Pro.
I was hoping that base PS5 provides stable 60fps (without any performance/fideliyy/dlss) in every game and that PS5 Pro will be pushing 120fps.
The PS5 Pro is said to be as powerful as the 6800 XT and the games are getting hungrier every year too, At that time even a 4080 would barely be enough for 4K 60. And don't expect the performance of a 5080 in a $600 console.
I upgraded from the OG to Slim over a Pro last time to save the $100 difference or whatever it was, won't be making that mistake again. I got a PS4 Pro later and for that $100 it was such a better experience.
DF is so hardcore, that their shorts are half an hour long
DF CLIP of 28 minutes tfff
I’m always happy with new hardware😅. I’ll be sad though if my Spider-Man plates don’t fit on it😢
I really liked the video if it will be released by the end of the year ps5 pro 👍👍👍
Cool video but why is this on DF Clips? It’s a 30 minute video of new content. What exactly is DF ‘clips’? Also doesn’t show up on Eurogamer almost missed it.
Even if it comes out in 2024 we won't be able to find 1 for 2 years due to scalpers 😂
Then next gen would be out in 2028 so by time you could get one you'd get 2 years out of the pro
Maybe 1 year if it comes out in the end of 2024
Oliver has the voice of an angel. He could sing opera.
I wouldn't be surprised if one of the features of PS5 PRO is extra functionality, like dual processing allowing full screen couch coop on Project Q or PSVR2
The PS5 Pro is said to be as powerful as the 6800 XT and the games are getting more demanding every year too, At that time even a 4080 would barely be enough for 4K 60. And don't expect the performance of a 5080 in a $500 console.
@@randyrrs7028 lots more power needed with barely any graphical improvements. Sounds about right 😂
The Touryst is an 8K game on the PS5 .
Its odd that DF did the analysis of the game and said this is the 1st 8k console game but now they are playing dumb. Can't take this Chaps seriously anymore.
@@rap2sai1 game out of their entire library running in 8k invalidates their argument? tf? their wider point is also that 8k displays are not mainstream so Sony is not being prudent for pushing them so hard over aiming for 4k60/1440p60
@@hadiabdul9266 the issue is they should have mentioned it and elaborated on why developers may have chosen not to do it (for obvious reasons i.e performance) or lack of 8k displays. DF juat said PS5 has 8k on the box but no 8k games. That is called selective narrative.
Not capping for Sony but at least they have one game running 8k @30fps. No other console has done that.
@@rap2sai if less than 0.1% of your games library is able to run 8k then you've absolutely failed to make an 8k console as advertised. idk why you guys think DF are being disingenuous here. its like saying cyanide is not poisonous because 1 person in history has survived it.
I'm not bothered about 8k. I can barely get excited for 4k. 1440 at 60 is my personal sweet-spot. VR is more interesting to me now anyway and that's all about more FOV and decent frame rates without reprojection preferably. I'll be doing my usual of skipping until there is a decent leap in capability, which will be PS7 or whatever Xbox come up with if they are still bothering with consoles by then.
Focus on reliable 4K at 120fps, then i'm sold.
They need to release games honestly
Forget about 8K
We don’t want too see 30FPS only 60fps or more
I think having that extra power is needed to get these games where they need to be.
I think 4k 60fps is a great selling point considering how popular PC gaming is getting these day (for the general audience) $600 for a solid 4k 60fps its still a great deal. Also, lets not forget the scalpers problem, many people are not getting their hands on a PS5 until now, so for many of those who do not have a PS5 yet is not an issue of upgrading or not but of choosing between the best performing PS5 or the cheapest as their yet to be first buy.
i am one off those people and i will wait for the pro, i also believe that from this generation o consoles will be more like pc's and the gerenaion leap will become blurry, so we will get longer generations due to power
you do not get 4k 60fps for £600 on a pc unless you have every setting on low. my rig cost £1300 and it is hard pushed to get 4k 60fps at medium settings on modern games.
Are you talking about the ps5 pro being 4k 60fps as a base selling point? The series x hits 60fps 4k on nearly every game, diablo, destiny 2, forza, the list goes on, is this a ps5 problem?
@@Rrr20058bvsc i do not care for xbox first party, also xbox doesn't have a presence in my country, i also have a gaming laptop so if they launch anything interesting i will play the pc version,
@@ionut15091 you just said you dont like xbox 1st party then say you will play xbox 1st party games on a laptop lol. Xbox has moved away from console sales and you are exactly the gamer they are trying to get to sub to gamepass.
Judging by your comment that stragedy is working.
I’m on board with everything but the iterative upgrades thing. The issue is I know the staff at DF is used to buying superfluous PC upgrades for $10,00 a piece until these oversized raytracing PC suppositories are obsolete _in a few months_ after release. It is _undesirable_ to have to pay $500 every two years to make sure one or two games remain properly optimized, like a Mortal Kombat game.
This is not going to happen.
The iterative path is the wrong road for games. It’s not thoughtful. At a mere _shallow_ glance what works for phones _is dysfunctional_ for the masses when it comes to video games. It is identical to the flawed thinking behind Battle Passes in every game just because Fortnite got there first. It’s a hot-take and the wrong one with absolute certainty. Nintendo is a miserable option for anyone, but they have proven to understand this particular assignment, right down to the hard copy of a video game that only exists in a single space in time. People don’t even have good internet in the Midwest and now they’re being asked to invest another $500 after they’ve purchased 40 million _scalped_ PS5’s. Dudes! Iterative consoles are bad for business and are just as unrealistic an expectation for players as expecting players to buy into a Battle Pass grind for every single game.
Time and money are openly disrespected. I would never make a PS5 Pro. Period. Imagine seeing GTA 5 on the shelf with a PS5 Pro label, the only person who would think this is a good idea is a shareholder. You know, those who know nothing. Game consoles are not as essential to quality of life as computers and smart devices. Until they are, iterative consoles are toast.
I don’t do my taxes on a Steamdeck. I literally do and have done my taxes and work on my iPhone.
Edit: People _“being accustomed to upgrading their hardware”_ is a corporate strawman take if I’ve ever heard one. That’s a wrong and cursed comment.
After how loud the fan was on my PS4 pro, I don’t think I’ll be buying another pro edition console.
Nice bite sized pieces of content from the long form podcast.
For me 1080p is the standard and 2k is the sweet spot and 4k is where i think the ps5 pro or ps6 can meet that brute perfomance/power that is needed for that.
Hello new clip channel!
Whatever happened to 40fps? I don't know why we have to always choose between 30 and 60. I feel like 40-45 would be a good compromise.
40fps mode requires a pretty new mid-to-high end TV. Many people already bought a new 4K TV some 3-5 years ago which is still great for 60fps gaming. By this time most of the issues with Game Modes & HDR had been sorted.
This gen is well disappointing. Consoles struggling no way they can do a AAA game with 4K native at 60fps, then there’s raytracing which it simply doesn’t have the power to do. The norm in quality seems to be 1440 native at 30fps or slightly upscaled which is a long way from native
The "problem" being solved is keeping ahead of the dreaded 30fps downgrade. We are already seeing it in games like Starfield. Imo... 60fps needs to be a BARE MINIMUM baseline in gaming. 30fps needs to be talked about in the past tense.
A Pro console would buy is more years to have all games at 60fps and tbh, we need constant premium console upgrades to assure we never have to go back to horrid, garbage 30fps games.
That is the use case and its 100% totally worth it to me
as is still have a 1080p TV and will have it until it breaks :), i guess i'm fine with my Series S.
The obsession with 4k and above is something that only happens in a tiny community of gamers. The vast majority of gamers and people who watch movies etc genuinely dont care about it.
I dont even know one person with an 8k tv
It all depends on price to me and whether all current accessories for the ps5 will be compatible with the pro. Like thd pulse headset pads and ssds i dont fancy buying all this again. I also agree the ps5 has alot more to give! It was such a nightmare getting my hands on one! Dont fancy that again sony!!!!!
Sony should give loyalty codes to current ps5 owners if they wish to upgrade.
DF Clips - 30 minute video
Because of Unreal Engine 5 we do need a mid gen refresh with the consoles.
The PS6 should be able to run every UE5 game at 4k60fps but when the next gen UE6 comes out it will most likely struggle to run those games at 4k and the same cycle is gonna repeat and we'll need a ps6 pro
fantastic idea🎉
I've only had my PS5 for six months I was on a waiting list since 2020. Now a pro is coming! We need PS5 games and VR2 titles.
Let me put this bluntly but clear. Nobody is asking for 8K on a console, nobody is asking for performance crippling ray tracing on consoles. Especially since those consoles are AMD based machines and AMD hardware simply underperforms in ray tracing. All most of us want is (upscaled if needed) 4K 60. Just give us that Sony. Just hard lock that 60 fps in every title going forward.
It is 8k on ps5 box a lie? Any of the game available on playstation 5 run in 8k?
If it can do 4k 120fps it can do 8k 30fps.
4k 120hz = 3840 x 2160 x 120 = 995,328,000
8k 30hz = 7680 x 4320 x 30 = 995,328,000
It was all marketing guff.
I am all for the PS5 Pro, seems like a late 2024 release
Yeah, for those gamers who want to play say GTA 6 in 4k 60 fps (because it's highly likely GTA 6 will be a 30 fps game on base ps5/series hardware, although what that allows is going to be an incredibly beautiful and realized open world, etc...), they should have that option.
@cinemapigeon4898 PS5 pro will be released on 2025 o late 2026 and you wrong about gta 6 will be stuck with 30fps on ps5.
@@GazpachzYT Yes, that's what I said, that GTA 6 will be a 30 fps game.
@@GazpachzYTThe pro will be out Nov next year. Almost garrentee it.
People are stupid… PS5 pro don’t give you 4k 60 fps. Rumors says that Pro is 16TF gpu with the same cpu, series x is 12 TF. Is only 4 TF difference. Ps5 pro will be close to RX6800 PC gpu 16 TF this gpu is 1440p lvl. 4k GPUs start at 35 TF RTX3090 - 40 TF 3090TI - 50 TF 4080 and 83 TF 4090 in AMD side 25 TF RX6950XT or 61 TF RX7900XTX PS5 pro will be good 1440p console and standard ps5 is 1080p console. But almost all devs chose 4k res on ps5 and we get scaled res from 1298p /1080p to 4k and 30 fps on medium setting.
PS5 Pro is to allow 4K/RT/60 what already would be a big quality jump.
Make it 4K 120 FPS VRR HDR, optional RT toggle
4k 60 Quality is I want
Im happy with anything upscaled from 1080p dynamic to 4k. 60fps is not negotiable. A solid, locked 60fps is something that should never be compromised in any game going forward.
The PS6 should be able to run every UE5 game at 4k60fps but when the next gen UE6 comes out it will most likely struggle to run those games at 4k and the same cycle is gonna repeat and we'll need a ps6 pro
If we get a PS5Pro, a Xbox Series Elite and the Switch 2 in 2024, that would mean 6 SKUs for current gen games(if the Switch 2 is comparable to the PS4Pro).
Now remember how Jedi Fallen Order launched.
No new Xbox is coming out, nobody bought the current one
@@MrNYCincthe Xbox is selling really well. Not near the ps5 but it’s well over half the sales around 26ish million units solid. Never mind Microsoft is playing the gamepass game compared to just selling straight up console units and games since they can’t compete fully there and they do cloud and digital so much better then Sony.
Im shocked by how many pc gamers who use pc game pass for cheap games just run it locally and friends who can’t afford consoles and with lower standards play cloud on their phone with a controller
I just want all games to have a 60FPS performance option. If a PS5 Pro supplies that consistently then I will upgrade
Why? Most games are movie games. I could understand wanting 60fps in competitive shooters or other precision titles - but AAA games that push the hardware are movie games.
@@COOLFRIEND 60FPS is good for all games, not everyone enjoys playing choppy games and that’s why the option should be available. If you enjoy 30fps then good for you, but speak for yourself only
@@zenvultra “choppy games”. Games aren’t choppy at a steady 30fps. If a game doesn’t require ultra precise timing and input then 30fps is great and is much better for creating mood and atmosphere.
@@zenvultra it’s the same reason people prefer moves in 24fps rather than 60.
@@COOLFRIEND You’re comparing movies to games which are different categories and games require interaction via controller, unlike movies were you simply watch. I would to see. Some actual native 4k 60 fps games but that may be out of reach for consoles for now.
The PS6 should be able to run every UE5 game at 4k60fps but when the next gen UE6 comes out it will most likely struggle to run those games at 4k and the same cycle is gonna repeat and we'll need a ps6 pro
