- Southern Transit, Ex-Stagecoach London (TA400) taken from 0 - 50mph with Full Kickdown!
Here we have another ZF ALX400 Trident, this time with a 4-speed gearbox and a Euro 2 engine. As good as these sound, I prefer the slightly newer Euro 3 Cummins ISCe engine over the Euro 2 variant. To me, Euro 3 ones sound a lot more raw and beefy. This one does have an uprated engine so it’s an absolute beast with the kickdowns.

Euro 2 ZF and Voiths are my top favourite so far 🔥🔥
Valid opinion! 🤝🤝
same
😍😍😍😍😍 this is so nostalgic!
Very!
These 0-what ever are very interesting! You should keep it up
Thank you, I will do!
these what?!!
For example this video. It shows the bus go from 0 - 50 that’s what I meant
Y514NHK. The very first model bus i got 20 yrs ago.
Phwoar, we like!!! Childhood (Euro 2 tridents in general) right here!!!
We do like indeed! I myself was local to only the Voith Variants of Euro 2 tridents, bar one President in my local garage that was ZF
Does bring back a lot of memories nonetheless!
Lovely Kickdown. Nice one mate.
Thank you mate 👍🏾
No problem mate
Sadly this is one thing I've found out when doing my videos... The more unique and loud the engine is the worst it is for the environment... I mean like a Enviro 400 EV would never make such amazing sounds as a Enviro 400 Euro 4 but it would help the environment...
Sad but true thing when it comes to the hobby like this, as much as we love the slightly older and more powerful buses, they’re not very practical when it comes to loudness, emissions and so on
Word😒
One thing about Euro 2 TAs they seem to sound so much better than the Euro 3s
I prefer the Euro 3s, but I respect the opinion 🤝
Catford Garage had a mix of Euro 2 and Euro 3 ALX400 Tridents.
Yep
Nah
@@kingflick It's true.
Lovely Kickdown, I need to start hunting down these tridents 😁

Where what!

Lovely bus, but a stagecoach trident with a ZF? Never knew they existed
Yeah I think this was the only batch (NHKs) of ALX400s Stagecoach had with a ZF gearbox
Pretty rare considering they’re Voith merchants 😂
In London or outside of London?
@@Frozzles there’s a single batch of euro3 zf’s Stagecoach had. LX51 Euro3’s
Oh fairs
@@Frozzles voith merchants lol that’s true 😂
Really not bad considering the chances of it blowing up are high (baring in mind that this is a Trident 😂😂). Great Video mate
Thank you bro 😂👍🏾
Volvos would never
@@kingflick Exactly!
Ahh no she is absolutely spot on!

No way was this a London bus once upon a time, where did yo u get this? I am interested in tryna catch these workings
It was a Rail Rep in South West London
Nu venture has a batch of Dennis tridents which were part of Stagecoach Selkent but they only operate them a few times a day around the Medway area and Tonbridge
This is Y514NHK, right?
