Xelepteüs: Ms. Klaverenga has some mad, fretboard skills! She adds a lot of her own chops to the mix and makes it her own. Hell when she first started the lick I was thinking *that doesn't sound like Paganinni's Caprice no. 5.* It wasn't until at least a minute into it that I was in familiar territory. The song itself is a little over a minute but she managed to stretch it to 3:23.

Yes. My guitar teacher told me I'll never be a great sight reader, I'll always be handicapped reading music, that if I had studied even a little in my youth I would have that edge. But I'm just a hobbyist, I don't need to be able to do that immediate eye to hand thing in 3 takes. And that's how they do it... play it once to get the fingering, play it again to get the dynamics, the third time is it, cut the $800 check and good night Irene.
To me those pro sight readers are amazing. And they look at the sheet music and can hear it in their amazing heads.
I took a classical guitar course at Julliard. You could put some sheet music in front of the teacher that he never saw before and he'd play it like it was memorized.

Picking overtone harmonics in the highest of strings with one finger to pick, the other to lightly touch the overtone shows extreme skill... I have seen Eric Johnson do something like this in his SRV cover... and of course Eddie just blatantly tapping the harmonics with his fingers, but the way she is doing it show such technical prowess.. and this version is definitely her own version of the 5th Caprice.... I like the way she plays with all of the spontaneity of total understanding of not only the guitar, but music theory in general.. and I'm sure she can play that piano with the same prowess..
