FILM DESCRIPTION:
Scott Stewart's supernatural thriller Legion, scripted by Peter Schink, concerns a group of strangers in an out-of-the-way eatery who become the first line of defense when God, believing the human race is no longer worthy of Him, decides to end their existence. Michael didn’t simply say “that’s why you failed” he said “that’s why you failed HIM”. It’s the addition of HIM that makes that line so powerful.

All negative comments aside, can we talk about how good the wings looked. Plus the sound effects used that made it sound like there was actual weight behind them when they flapped was great.

There was no reason for weapons, and military warfare in the Heavens.Then Lucifer and his rebellion of corrupt angels had to mess it all up and wage war against the Heavens. Just because he wanted more divine power. Sigh. Making Michael and rise of the celestial armies to form in order to combat their fallen brothers. Now, there's certainly angels carrying weapons like warriors in order to protect God's creation from the fallen ones.

Legion's first half was underwhelming but the second half was pure excellence. My my, the way the angels were represented in the film showed the difference between following orders and following your heart. Too tier

Yes, he clearly has mercy (well, at least in "bullcrap" here but you have to have hope now) but you can have some problems and need really humble and humiliate yourself before he will forgive you this second sentence, told clearly just for hope of hurting feelings of some Christians here... I guess they will dismiss it as stupid boy babbling. But Michael is a bit different story...

Michael spares Gabriel's life because he remembers God's love, mercy, and grace, in which he demonstrates here. Truly a powerful scene, and my favorite of this movie. You see the shame on Gabriel's face when he leaves.

Micheal here represents someone who actually looks at his creator's teachings and thinks on them to try and truly understand what they mean. Gabriel represents the fanatic who takes everything literally and thinks that doing whatever he's told is right because God said so. He thinks that doing something is righteous by virtue of being ordered by God rather than thinking for himself and following the teaching God had given to him all up until this point.

so in a basic sense, gabriel was told to kill off humanity, but that goes against everything that god represents. michael, on the other hand, showed god what is needed. love and mercy and forgiveness. all of these come as key components.

Same goes for God himself...If he appear to us in his true form we will not be able to withstand whatever it is and will be destroyed. Well God tells us in he's last message the holy Quran that we have to wait to receive the answers of questions like this...all will be explained and revealed to us...once we die. Both angels follow God's order. Gabriel follow it with strict compliance, word for word. That is why he is God's messenger. While Michael knew very well the heart of God, that is why he could be likened to David known as "the man after God's own heart", Michel could be "the angel after God's own heart".

The test to see if gods archangels are gonna kill gods creations if they were ordered to, will prove if they have taken gods teachings to heart, and also prove if their judgements are pure & not easily tainted. Soldiers who are blindly, “just following orders” is an example of those who become numb to killing and are undeserving of gods respect, because of their lack of humility, mercy, & deeper understanding for others. It seems no matter if you’re living or dead, you’ll continue to be tested by god.
Except in real life a soldier who disobeys orders that are given to him/her suffer serious consequences. It's so easy for a civilian to criticize the actions of soldier. You join the Army, and experience real life combat and watch your fellow brothers and sister in arms get shot to death, then come back here and say that soldiers just following order are "numb to killing and undeserving of gods respect, because of their lack of humility, mercy, & deeper understanding for others."

This is such an underrated movie, I love the concept, the action scenes, the acting...but the dialogues are the what really gives weight to the story, free will, redemption, forgiveness, choice....I love this movie.

I think the premise of this movie is God was testing his angels, seeing who was actually taking his teachings to heart, and which were simply blindly following him, Michael told Gabriel he failed because he didn't show mercy, which is something God is big on. There's a Sy-Fi show called Dominion. Happens 25 years after the movie. It got canned after two seasons on a cliffhanger. All the actors are different and it also soft-reboots the story a little bit. On the movie, angels are killing people on the orders of God who lost faith in humanity. In the show, God dissappeared and the angels blame humanity for it and decided to slaughter them on their own. Since it's a Sy-Fi show, it's got lots of mediocre performances and really cheap CGI. It was alright, i guess.

Love this movie as ALWAYS since the 1st time I've watched it God in the story here gave his angels a Test and some of them including Gabriel failed while Michael didn't and why he used that line "that's why you failed him(God) and have faith" to really make the audience understand the story

I always thought Charlie and Jeep were like a metaphor to Mary and Joseph. Mary had a child in her womb who didn't belong to Joseph but Joseph stayed and took care of both of them. This is similar to how Jeep isn't really the father of the child but he is the true protector of the child and Charlie.
