    This was a great video. You certainly had an easier time than I did - but that Jeep is in much better shape than mine. :-) Also, nice garage setup! I am jealous!

    Am I missing something? The title says Tie Rod END replacement. You just replaced the whole thing not the ends right?

    • @cody39yrs
      @cody39yrs Před rokem

      Yes it's the only way to replace the two ends as they are one unit.

      @@cody39yrs Huh? No, you can buy the ends separately. The guy above is right, this is a replacement of the full tie rod, not the ends.

      @@jakealcazar3805the passenger side outer tie rod end of these Wranglers comes crimped to the tie rod so it can’t be removed. So it has has to be replaced as one unfortunately

      At the 5:33 mark, he mentions the crimped end. Also this was maddening for me to find replacement parts at the auto part stores because they call everything a "tie rod end"! And then half the time, the pictures from the site / app do not match.

      @HomeOwnerRepair  Před 2 lety +2

      The tie rod replacement itself should only take an hour, it's pretty easy to do. So whatever the hourly rate of the shop is. You may want to ask the shop you're going to.

    Torque ??? 😂 Is very important for jeeps

    • @oldsouthautodetail9327
      @oldsouthautodetail9327 Před rokem

      You don't torque thise due to the pin needing to go through the hole. It's not going to come out.

    • @nickb317
      @nickb317 Před rokem

      You are supposed to torque castle nuts. You do the normal torque procedure and then you keep going until the hole lines up with one of the grooves and then pin it.
