Lyrics:
Thunder on the mountain, and there's fires on the moon
A ruckus in the alley and the sun will be here soon
Today's the day, where I'm gonna grab my trombone and blow
Well, there's hot stuff here and it's everywhere I go
I was thinking about Alicia Keys, couldn't keep from crying
When she was born in Hell's Kitchen, I was living down the line
I'm wondering where in the world Alicia Keys could be
I been looking for her even clear through Tennessee
Bob Dylan is a rare artist that has managed to transcend genre to become a universally praised songwriter, performer and musician of the 20th- and 21st-centuries. Starting out as a chronicler of social issues in the 1960s, Dylan has had true staying power with thirty-two studio albums released in 53 years. - Hudba
There are a few lights in my life, Bob Dylan is definitely one of them
same ;D
Always a Beacon
Totally agree with that statement! Yes, a brilliant light as well.
he's a light tower!
Amen brother!
Back in 1971 during the Vietnam war, I was in the Navy and Bob Dylan's music helped me through that horrible time. I still remember listening to his songs that took me away, to another place in my mind. Hey he saved the day for me a few times back then. Always been a fan of B.D. Thanks Bob you are so cool!! What a song writer.
You're cool ;)
Welcome home if I haven’t told you personally yet. Yes Bob Dylan music was a big blessing during that crisis and I think he’s adequately helping us through this pandemic, may God bless his soul. Probably we’ve returned to our comforter seeking shelter from the storm, to quote a famous poet ;) Hopefully you’ll have a beautiful week ahead. Goodnight my friend. ☮️
Indeed he's the best of all.
Welcome Home, sailor. ❤️ 🤍 💙
I'm 72 and I first heard Bob when I was 13. He has helped me through my life all these years. Each album seemed to answer my wondering. I often wonder how I would "have made it through" without his songs of reassurance. Cheers
There will never be anyone like Bob Dylan

Bob is amazing, listened to him since I have been 13! I am 58 .....my life is better because I listened to Bob Dylan. Where does the world go from here when all these great artists pass away......I think true Dylan fans know the answer.😮

Bob Dylan is a well known name. And for very good reason!
The man who liberated lyrics, and his influence on American music is incalculable.

Bob Dylan proves on this track that he is unbeatable as a singer of his own, original songs.
This is actually the first time I have heard this song and I am 100% for it. The beat and the lyrics.
It gives me boogie legs!!
Sooo sexy 💙

A well-deserved Nobel prize! We love you, Bob.
Why not another noble prize for him...cheers to all.live long bob Zimmerman
AMEN!!!!
As a Swede I felt a little embarressed when he got the prize from the Academy. A bit as if the board of my local tennis club appointed Roger Federer the best tennis player of all times. Bob is too good for the Nobel.
This guy is ridiculous, a lyrical genius. Wow.
He is more of a poet than a singer.
I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO DYLAN SINCE I WAS 10 YEARS OLD! I WILL BE 65 IN 4 MONTHS! HE HAS MORE TO SAY THAN ANYONE I HAVE EVER MET OR HEARD OF EXCEPT FOR JESUS CHRIST AND HIS FATHER!
A true, 'Prophet of God'.
Peace!

we are blessed , rocked in the 70's still here :)
A genius. I saw him 35 times since 1965 and met him in 1991 by chance. He was walkin by himslf down by lake erie in cleveland. He was very nice to me.
did he act "weird", you know like in some interviews you can see from the 60s? Or was he different in a more "private" setting?
@Ad-Ac not weird but you knew it was bob dylan.
@@MrEdkern introverted? Or keen to talk? ..Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate it!
@Ad-Ac never said a word to me but shakes hand like a wet noodle. Just touches your hand. But I was greatful that he came up to me.
How cool though to have paid to see him so many times and then to just happen to be in the same place one day by dumb luck. Great story.
The wet noodle hand shake is probably more than 95% of people that stick out their hands towards him get.
Legends never die.

This just grooves along, and love the quickfire lyrics. For me, Bob at his best.
Good old fashioned rock n' roll
In all the years I've been listening to Dylan, I've never heard Thunder on the Mountain before. It's just blown me away. He's done it again. Listening closely to the lyrics and rhythm, I see where another great chunk of our modern music comes from. And he does it so easily. It's where Neil Young and Eric Clapton were carefully formed. Crosby Stills and Nash. etc, Sheer, utter, brilliance.
Oh yeah he sure is the man 🎵
Definetely one of his best late songs ever!
A voice like moonshine and gravel and words that twist and turn with intrigue
Trippin’ genius. He changed the whole wide world!❤️
Definitely one of his many most underappreciated songs.
Bob...Dylan.. is.d..king.
I love it that he's going to recruit his army from the orphanages.
That sounds like poetic justice.I hope that army of orphans would help overthrow Satan's One World Dictatorship or the daughter of Babylon, since God didn't like the first Babylon ,so he might not like the second one either! Power to the People or Populism, Nationalism and Christianity where righteousness can thrive and God can make us new creatures in Christ or the actual Messiah or Savior from our sins.Vaya con Dios!
Only Dylan could come up with the rhyme sonsabitches and orphanages.
Best songwriter
Good work, old Bobby. Been listening to You since Mr. Tamborine Man
Although i'm a Beatle fan, i have to admit that Bob Dylan's reputation is well deserved. For many musicians, write a song like this would be their absolute peak, but for Bob's its just a good song written 40 years passed his prime and after having written hundreds of great songs!
so true
What in the hell does being A Beatle fan have to do with liking other artist?
Bob you are your own man
His Bobness! Thank you Bob Dylan . . .
Bob, WOW what a song - thank you for that and I wish you a longlife until the judgement-day and there we see us to meet
I know wot u mean, but from my understanding of the Bible, the day we get to Glory (God willing) we will instantly forget our past or life on this planet..i could be wrong tho
@@robertbrown8362 I hope I remember everything good and bad because I never want to forget important lessons learned ,lest I repeat the same mistakes again. Also I like many songs ,especially Thunder on the Mountain and don't want to lose these songs, works of art, films, books, important stories from heroic humans and animals, memories of good deeds or lives well lived, how great Tribulation has been overcome with God's help and guidance. If we must go through Great Tribulation or many trials at least let us remember things so it isn't a waste or pain for nothing. Then we can learn to be soldiers who fight back against evils or learn to be brave, and never give up.We can be more like Jesus and less like ignorant, naive hot house plants or immature adults.
I've been playing his songs on my guitar for years. I know every verse to every song Dylan has ever written. Love his music !

When I had just emerged from my Teens I was called a cynic, by Michael Murphy, I was taken aback a tad I did not know what the word meant by definition, but instintivly knew it was not positive. I liked Mr. Murphy ,but did not like being shrouded by the negative aura of cyniscisim,as the years passed I threw off the ghostly robe and became a sceptic. As I feel now sceptical of your maxim thus stated above, "Every song and Every verse, hmmm, . Thus I challange you. Not doubting the veracity of your statement, mind you, but following the sceptic arrow inside me that's shouting,"Impossible, you must have missed something or never heard!! So....First, not a song; A monologue; He was asked by the record company to write a few words or so about the ailing Woody Guthrie. He wrote 25 pages and asked his audience for their patience. Granted not a song ,but one did not get to hear Bob very often, so a small but powerfull gem. SO STAY SHELLY SHAY and give the folkes a page or two off the cuff. Second, "Wallflower." Third, "Seven Curses," easy one , except for the rolling guitar playing. No peeking. Pass and you shall have excorsized, the sceptic from me , (not my delinquent spelling) ."A promotion", you ask!! .Certainly ,in honour of the very first musician to be awarded The Nobel Peace prize for literature, our very own Laureate.....contd.
shelly shay

Congratulation Mr. Dylan, on winning the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature.
you'll never see an artist like Dylan again. Allen Ginsburg once said"it was a challenge to see if great art could be put on a jukebox and Dylan proved that it could.
