  • ROLLING THUNDER REVUE: A BOB DYLAN STORY BY MARTIN SCORSESE captures the troubled spirit of America in 1975, and the joyous music that Bob Dylan performed that fall. This performance of One More Cup Of Coffee is look at a piece of essential American folklore, never before seen and beautifully restored. Master filmmaker Martin Scorsese creates a one-of-a-kind movie experience: part documentary, part concert film, part fever dream. Featuring Joan Baez, Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, Sam Shepard, Allen Ginsberg, and Bob Dylan giving his first on-camera interview in over a decade. The film goes beyond mere reclamation of Dylan’s extraordinary music-it’s a roadmap into the wild country of artistic self-reinvention.

Even when he uses more nasal in his voice, he still hits the right notes and carry the tune. If you don’t like the tone of his voice, that’s your opinion. But you can’t say he’a bad at singing.

The entire Desire album is incredible.....one of the things lost today where people just buy the hot tune and download it, they miss out on possible gems of the album not being touted by the record companies.....I can't tell you how many times I bought albums for a song, and later, that song wound up being my 3rd or 4th favorite on the album. On this album, check out the story of Isis.....or his then current love interest, later to be ex wife, Sarah.....actually, every song.....Dylan was giving advice to another writer in Greenwich Village, and told him "Take them over the hills and into the valleys" meaning, get very specific with the stories.....paint a beautiful picture with the words. When you listen to a Dylan song, you may as well be saying you are watching it, because like a great book, they always create a movie going through your head with a full storyline with the mind allowed to visualize the characters.

This was my “ but Coffee first” moment. I don’t know why the hell I did even though I was just waiting for her to finish the session. Entire day I was just appalled on my action and then this song came to my mind purely because of its title. In love with Bob Dylan, this song and coffee since I don’t even remember. Lyrics
    Lyrics
    Your breath is sweet
Your eyes are like two jewels in the sky
Your back is straight, your hair is smooth
On the pillow where you lie
    I don't sense affection
    Nor no gratitude or love
Your loyalty is not to me but to the stars above
One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee before I go
    To the valley below
    Your daddy, he's an outlaw
    And a wanderer by trade
He'll teach you how to pick an' choose
And how to throw the blade
    He oversees his kingdom
    Where no stranger does intrude
His voice it trembles as he calls out
    For another plate of food
One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee before I go
    To the valley below
    Your sister sees the future
    Like your momma and yourself
She never learned to read or write
There's no books upon her shelf
And her pleasure knows no limits
Her voice is like a meadow lark
But her heart is like an ocean
    So mysterious and dark
One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee before I go
    To the valley below
    Thank you
