    If had the power then I would make Bob Dyland King of all the world but Bob would not want to become King of all the world because he is a smart man, he is a wise man, he is a good man. God bless you Bob for all that you have done, the very great works that you have produced, the music that you have played and for all you have given to billions of people all over this world

    Dylan was then and before, after and now my absolute favorite. Great performance by the creator of the best songs ever. Love this time period, but I love them all. And now the Rough and Rowdy tour is never ending. So blessed I got the chance to see it.

    • @musicplaylists64
      @musicplaylists64  Před 7 měsíci

      Creator of the best songs ever is a bold statement but if that title is held for Bob Dylan then I cannot argue one bit. I don't think most people realize how many of his originals have been "re-done" by people over the years.

    Dylan never had a better rhythm section than Howie Wyeth (on drums or N'Awlins piano) and Rob Stoner (Rothstein). Z"L Rest In Play dear boys. Every gig I ever saw them play with or without Zimmy, especially Wyeth's drumming on Greenwich Village folk bard Jack Hardy's early DIY albums and the club\cafe sessions preparing to record that gamey as Dylan if more Irish material, deserved like this Rolling Thunder Revue second tour to have been televised nationally. What terrific spirit there was in folk havens even if the rock n' roll inflated economy was smothering the golden babies in their cribs of song.
    Thanks for these 3 songs triggering my action memories of Wyeth and Stoner in those dark and often dank Greenwich Village clubs, cafes, bars even bakeries. That scene always brought out the best in Dylan before he retreated to his Purple Onion dome home in Malibu. Yet, he carries that whole mise en scene with him when he steps on stage and that folks (drum roll as the folkies quiver) is show biz!!!!

    Back when the kids had Heros that spoke and sang the truth... Now our kids like the ones with flashy cloths, money and a bunch of BS crap they bought around them. Even Bob sold out eventually, but he and Jerry seemed to deal with it the best.

    • @musicplaylists64
      @musicplaylists64  Před 8 měsíci +3

      Yeah it does seem as times begin to get more tough the rich and famous are being less idolized by some. Which is good to see but the wrong things lead to this change of perspective. They way I look at it is very devoted musicians have never been anything in large numbers and the times of the 60s-80s seem like an anomaly in comparison. Many people today want to make music to be the next famous person but not many actually cherish music quality like we seem to find in other generations. But you will still find many people who are different and still have a very good taste in music, at any age. However there are usually not a lot of these people in quantity nor are they usually loudest of the bunch. Some of the best musicians and composers were only recognized after they passed away, or for someone like Schubert much later. I think good music will always be made and those who seek it will find it. Others will be pleased with the mediocre music of the mainstream.

    Stoner was the best bass player Dylan ever had playing with him, except of course, for Rick Danko. But expect for Rick, Rob really knew how to get the absolute best arrangements out of Bob's older material. They really do rock out the best. I have heard like 20 different covers of Too Many Mornings and NONE compare to Dylan's own version of this song during the Rolling Thunder period. What a band!!!

Time, act, minds, ideas, even you yesterday asked me, idiot wind blowing down the back, it's a wonder, beware, I haven't had some peace and quit for so long. After losing every battle, shoots through my head. Even hurts the ones I love the best, loving through. Your an idiot , it's a wonder , gravity pulled, tamed , wasn't enough . I hope A I does not change the words of this song. Conspiracy, down the highway hounded , doubled crossed now for the last, you'll never know the hurt I suffered, idiot wind, blowing through the desert by , a wonder we can even be ourselves

      You may find this to be atonal, but when you write your songs you get to sing them in any tone you chose. Reply with the names of a few of your own and a link to listen to you performing them in tonal perfection. I would like to hear them. Your first three words were absolutely correct in your sentence above. Ronster
