Wow!..I tuned in for Victor Lewis, but what a magnificent trio..and how cool to see the American flags waving proudly for this great American creation..
I guess Im asking randomly but does someone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me

No backup dancers, no flashing lights, no sexy costumes, no sexually explicit content, no made up names…just art. And to think there was once a time when jazz was considered "popular" music. That was a COMPLETELY different world.
@@nicobuhne7394 You know exactly what I meant. And, those two could do it, and generally did, without any entrapments. Don’t draw parallels where they don’t exist.
@@terrydrums the parallels do exist tho, many - if not most jazz artists have "made up names", many (where applicable) have sexually explicit content, many of them were involved in crime, and later many had backup dancers and all that. you just have a problem with with holding onto art forms that change. that's how they die dingus.
@@nicobuhne7394 I have no problem with change. Jazz is all about change. I just know what appeals to me as art and what doesn’t. Funny, I don’t recall mentioning crime. It’s interesting that you chose to include that. And calling me names certainly helps to make your point more valid. Was I supposed to be hurt by that? Hint: I wasn’t.
Yes indeed...not your garden variety Yamaha! I tuned for him tonight in San Jose...unfortunately, the piano in the club is a weak old Steinway L that can't stay in tune so well.
Awe man, he's got the old school ampeg flip top bass amp joint. Classic....from the 70's. No self-respecting upright bassist didn't have one back in the day. And for you bass guitar heads....the Acoustic 360...with the Cerwin Vega reversed mounted 18" speaker.
This is good but doesn't swing hard like his gigs with Courtney Pine back in the 90's. With this trio, there's no reason to coast the standards or be too introspective. I'm sure Kenny Barron would take this to another level.
The bass player is serious!! Very solid.
One of the greatest jazz pianists in his prime today.

I noticed the flag too. Nice touch.
The story about Cyrus learning the keys as a child is special. Stories are so important to jazz heritage.
How did I not hear about this guy for so long? What a master.
Cyrus Chestnut is the real deal! I could listen for hours to his music.
I second that emotion....:-)
true
Why?But Buster sounds great

Just introduced to Cyrus Chestnut, and I must say he is excellent. I am a follower, just beautiful!!!!!! Jazz at its best.
A backhanded compliment if I’ve ever heard one.

Nice live performance. So cool and still real professional. Never heard Williams and Lewis together before. Works great.

Buen trio con un Buster Williams discípulo de Ron Carter.

I could listen to this Jazz style forever, the piano players in this genre are usual playing a million notes too many for me.
Is that a live audience or a bunch of mannequins? Wow! What more do you need to do in order to get folks to groove to ya!

The windows are distracting and should be covered. This is about Cyrus, not things waving in the breeze.
