It all started here. It's so hard to believe that 10 years later, we would be awaiting the 3rd mainline entry and 4th entry overall in this incredible series. Only 7 months, 7 months until we get to see the world that was created after the events of 1 and 2. I'm excited to see old areas in a new way as well as whatever new waits in store.
What an incredible journey. I only started playing 1&2 in 2021 and I can only imagine this decade+ adventure early Xenoblade fans have experiences
@@teamrocfan I also started playing 2 first a couple of years ago an then played XB1. Hard to believe it's been 10 years. I bet they gonna remake XCX next.

I started with DE in September of 2020, started 2 in December of 2020, (currently playing trough X) and now 3 releases in September of 2022.

7 years later, and my favorite game of all time is being remade. All they had to do was port it to Switch and I still would've bought it, but they decided to POP OFF, EVERYTHING THAT WAS IN THIS TRAILER IS GOING TO LOOK GODLY IN THE REMAKE

I finished the game a couple of months ago, and watching the trailer makes me want to play the game all over again. 100% this is my favorite game of all time.
So how hype were you when the remake was announced?

@@obodobear I had no idea at first until I saw Shulk, but still had no interest. After some.convincing from friends on Discord, I started it last summer. But because I'm me, I didn't finish till 3 months ago, two days before my 22mmnd birthday.

@@sageoffire3964 yeah one of my friends irl played Xenoblade way before shulk was in smash or anything and he always talked the game up so I eventually gave it a shot and it became probably my favorite game ever. I remember the day of the direct I was with a few of my roommates and I told them I felt like Xenoblade hd was gonna happen. Me calling it made me even more hype lol. I loved the original on the Wii but the HD version made a lot of really good quality of life changes on top of the updated visuals so it's awesome you got to experience that as a first time player!

I am still surprised by the uproar due to the amount of 'spoilers' in the trailer. It's a trailer, the game is 100+ hours long, at the point you are meant to watch the trailer, you have no context for anything and everything you get shown is so fast. More than anything it just emphasises the games massive scope.
This game is a beast of an RPG, and the longest game ever made on a nintendo console. It puts Zelda to shame in the open world exploration department (until Breath of the Wild comes out next year)
even then i dont think its as big as chronicles X

CasualGamePlayz Xenoblade Chronicles is significantly larger than X was in terms of story related content. X was fairly short through the story. Most of its girth was found in affinity missions and sidequesting.
The game world is roughly as big as Xenoblade Chronicles. Although each individual area in X was larger than most of XBC's. X had a lot fewer areas than Xenoblade Chronicles did.
Both games are very large in their own respects. XBC is much larger storywise, and X is much larger sidequest wise. Imo the games are about equal in size
Darkstar2630 I still prefer exploring in Xenoblade because most of BOTW's landscape is just hills mountains and rivers but breath of the wild

i'm so happy i didn't watch this before after i've beaten the game. there's so many spoilers!
It's all about the mindset. Back then, spoilers weren't that much of a thing yet. We all just saw an accumulation of out of context scenes that looked cool and interesting. And it became one of the most favorite games for many people regardless of those 'spoilers'.
@@missgolgistain5801 heck you're right idk what's going on still just by looking at this and haven't played the game yet. I see final fantasy looking people, a boy screaming and multiple people wielding weird but creative and cool looking weapons that looks like fun ( with a bunch of magic too). And a very aggressive and powerful story that I can wait to get my hands on 😁

i remember stumbling upon this trailer as a kid and being OBSESSED. i would watch it on loop, as well as any japanese gameplay footage i could find. when it finally released, it was seriously worth the wait, and i never stopped being completely absorbed by it.
xenoblade chronicles is one of the most important games of my life.

Probably in the top3 JRPGs of this generation for me. This game is just pure gold. Everything about it just feels RIGHT!

The Gameplay isn‘t tbh. The Areas felt too big and empty and Quests, although having a good flow (especially in the Definitive Edition), are mostly just „kill this Enemy 5 times“ without a real story attached to it. Also the characters felt a little bit too boring.
But the story is great, yeah.
@@boredgoddesstori6635 gameplay was definitely unique and maybe not perfect but still pretty good for the first installment. But I ADORE the huge maps. So fucking great. That’s what won me over. Thankfully they made an automatic run button. But in real life, you have to deal with big spaces and that’s really cool here.

Excited for Xenoblade 3? The fan base is exponentially growing. Imaging 10 years ago, very very nich game, but the fans willed this to where it is now

beat definitive edition today after sitting on backlog since 2020 launch, decided to visit old trailers and gameplay
It's a great game. I from Spain and have played it. I'm glad it's finally going to America, every Wii owner must have the opportunity to play it.

It all started year, me waiting 2 years just to get the game in my hands after it came out in Japan.
All the anger I felt towards Nintendo of America for being so stingy about the 3 Wii RPGs, I was a teenager when this came out and I was really willing to get my Nintendo Wii hacked and figure out how to get a European copy

Edit: got the game on my wii this weekend, 10 hours in and I’m loving it

@@Ice-mg5pr i ended up getting xenoblade x and playing the shit out of that game, like a 130 hours so far, havent gotten back to the first one just yet, but im planning on it.
@@Ayeato Woah. I just did the same thing with Xenoblade 1. Played 2 and wasn't really into it, then I got back into 1 and started a 100% Completion run with about 115 hours and counting. Never got my hands on X, but Xenoblade 1 is definitely worth playing the hell out of as well.

@redblade0 JRPG's have gotten tons bigger in recent years, over here in the states.
The fact that there are enough people to sign a movement dedicated to bringing one over shows that there IS some worthwhile demand for them over here.

It was the super early fans such as yourself who believed in this project. That pushed Nintendo to bring it to the west. And now it’s 2022 and this incredible story is coming together. What a time to be alive!!
I'm glad that this, and the eShop games (Pushmo, The Rolling Western, etc), show that you're willing to bring new IPs over to the US (the eShop ones aren't too surprising, since they are digital downloads and therefore aren't too hard to get over to another country; just translate the text and bam, you've got it)

i loved this game and has been my favorite for a while and gave me hope and made me happy that i had a wii
you can downlooad it in the wii u virtual console too! I didn't own it on wii so I was glad it came out for the virtual console I'm 50 hours in like halfway through the story, it's awesome!

@Snarlify Nintendo just announced that it's coming out for Canada too, so soon you too will be able to get the game (without using Nintendo.com or Gamestop).
Only Pandora's Tower is left to be revealed. Perhaps it will be the first thing shown at E3, along with Last Story's release date, as a way to wrap up the Wii before going Wii U full force?

@NerfedFalcon They're not re-dubbing. So there is no clear reason NoA is making us wait this long. I guess they just want to make sure they have a high-profile game to release in April (they have Mario Party 9 and Rhythm Heaven in January and February).
@XNintendrewX There is no way Nintendo would go through 2012 without a least a couple of major Wii games. Expect the likes of The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, etc as well.
