People say that this game released near the end of the Wii's life, to which I say, Just Dance 2020 came out on the Wii. This game was the halfway point.
I love The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword so much and it is the most epic Zelda and Wii game ever made ! :) The story was so fantastic and the gameplay is fun ! :) The bossbattles were epic as always in Zeldagames .
I'm 41 and I still play the heck out ot this and all other Zelda games!!!

@skyground95 I know, I've already beaten it on both modes. I was a bit disappointed to see that there actually wasn't much difference between the two modes, other than dying a few more times. I was kind of hoping for an alternate ending or something more special than just a "congratulations"

the only reason why I bought a wii.
My heart was broken when I finished the game. At least I have Hero Mode. "Bring it on"!
@superfadelxx3454 yup. Beat it, too. the only thing I have left to do to make both the original and Hero modes the same is get the Hylian Shield
@Matron4000 i remember you on that other board and as a fellow life long zelda/nintendoer i can say i sorry you did not like the direction the franchise took (hope you have other games you enjoy more now)
@GangstarrMario: Agreed. Though i did actually need walkthrough's for Twilight Princess. I needed NONE for Skyward Sword and i was absolutely shocked to find how easy all the bosses were, and Demise was one of the easiest :(
This game was like a sad addiction to me, though it became my second favorite game: mostly because it felt like it borrowed too many of its elements from OoT. My favorite videogame ever is, and possibly will remain, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

@Matron4000 The Wii sold because it had motion controls unlike the others and produced games for all ages. The N64 and Gamecube were far from failures; the games that people feel to be the greatest of all time are on those systems. LoZ: OoT, MM, and WW, Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Pokemon Stadium (2), Pokemon Coloseum and XD, Tales of Symphonia, Kirby64, Donkey Kong64, Yoshi's Story the list goes on and on. Don't diss the unknown future.

There are other complaints people have made that I'd generally agree with, but this game definitely isn't short if you take time to do all of the mini games and sidequests. In fact, I'd say it's the longest Zelda game I've ever played (been playing them since OoT).

your Wii is probably broken/messed up somehow, the game works is fine on mine.
@GangstarrMario Citing the number of hearts at the beginning as a valid reason to dislike a game is just ridiculous. OOT remains my favourite game of all time and yet I feel Skyward Sword made me explore more. In OOT you went somewhere, saw all there was to see, and never came back. In SS you go somewhere, leave and discover you hadn't even seen all there was to see. Exploration is discovering something new, not necessarily a place you had never seen. I finished ALTTP without a walkthrough BTW.

@Josiahinnc hen someone says they're a huge gamer and I ask what they play the response is usually CoD or some other shooter like that. Nintendo makes games for the gamers while Sony and Microsoft just want to make money on top of their already huge annual profits. Nintendo games usually require a lot of skill to complete (at least the most popular games anyways)
Well, it makes me sad that you get the Hylian Shield towards the very end almost. It should be more in middle of the game, but this was too much near the end. :(

@superfadelxx3454 Most Nintendo games are difficult for younger kids but at least they're still fun for them. Look at the final battle in Kirby's Dreamland 3, zero bleeds because Nintendo never expected any child who couldn't handle the sight of blood to get that far.
I hate when other "gamers" say Nntendo is for kids. Nintendo can make a kid-friendly game fun and invigorating for all ages. Shooters will never be true gaming. Nintendo may have graphical limits in the Wii, but there are still many must-have games that are each UNIQUE other than the copypasta of a game that is CoD

out of the entire thing, i only have two negative things to say about it. One: the bosses were far too easy. And two: the game seemed a little too short. other than that, i loved it all the way! and it certainly takes a very high place on my list of all-time best games played ever!
This game is probably better than Ocarina of Time. But Ocarina of Time has a better story and has more emotion.

@tylers7988569 I agree with you 100%. Shooters are nothing compared to the games that Nintendo releases. Legend of Zelda requires you to have wisdom to solve puzzles, while shooters require you to... run around brainlessly. At least in MW3.

@Matron4000 Already answered your question already.What makes them know-nothing anyway. They know they like the game. Those comments are from game surveys or something. Nintendo has been doing that for years in gaming mags. Its usually comments from game reviewers. They have been using regular user comments for years now. They even used them for their E3 show once. Get over yourself. You're just mad that people like a game that you don't like.

Hi trolls, you can keep calling me names and insulting me but it doesn't change the fact that Nintendo has more sales than Sony and Microsoft. Don't know why you're getting all butthurt over a comment. The WiiU has a graphics processor that is stronger than the 360 and PS3, but graphics aren't the only component for a great game. I actually know a lot of information about Call of Duty, I still don't care for it.
