    Thank you for this video. I’m considering buying the scroll saw and was searching for a video regarding these new painless adapters Wen offers. Also when searching for a knob as opposed to the hex screws, is there a certain length I should look for?

      @ummaandhalmi  Před 5 lety +1

      I haven't found a knob yet. it is best to bring your new blade holder to hardware store and try to find a matching knob.
      I will let you know if I find one soon.
      good luck.

      screw size is M4 as you see it from the Wen products. you may google it and buy online.

    The newer models now have a large wing nut for the pinless conversion kit that is included with the new saw.

    Thanks for the Video, I already have this saw along with the H F version. Heads and toes better than H F only draw back is you have to use pinned blades. I wished to remedy this and went to the Wen site and strangely will only allow you to put 1 holder in the cart, and can put 2 screws but not the holder???? but you NEED 2 to make it work.just stupid. sure I can make 2 orders but shouldn't have to. I think I'll wait until tomorrow and try again

    I can’t get this to work. The set screw doesn’t tighten the clamp and it doesn’t hold the blade at all.

    • @tuesday630
      @tuesday630 Před 4 lety +2

      Same here. There's no way to get the blade to tighten in those using the T-knob they sent with it.

      Push the screw through the unthreaded hole and then screw it into the threaded hole. Put the blade in the slot where a pinned blade would go. Tighten the screw to close the slot and hold the blade. Do this before you mount the bracket so you can see how it works.

    I Couldn't see, too dark, how you mounted the bottom. Is it under or over the arm? Thank you.

    A bit more info would really help. Do you install new holder using the front or rear (small or large) hole for screw? What size screw or stop do you use for the larger hole in the side of the holder opposite of the knob or hex key side? In the video there actually appears to be nothing on the other side of the screw opening that does not make contact with the blade.

    • @ummaandhalmi
      @ummaandhalmi  Před 5 lety

      You remove old holder and new one. And there are no part other side of the holder, later I bought couple of m4 wing nut screws for top and bottom. no tool needed anymore.
      One comment below suggested a lever from Amazon, if that works that is even better. But to be honest I am going to upgrade scroll saw soon. This is good for a starter though.

    terrable to change blades way to complicated and hard to reach. i end up leaving off the side safety panel.

    I just got this conversion for the blade holder but can't figure out what is supposed to be in the large hole opposite the set screw. Seems like there should be something there for the blade to butt up against when you tighten the set screw to hold the blade in. Anyone know how to fix this?

    • @ummaandhalmi
      @ummaandhalmi  Před 5 lety

      there is nothing .. I recommend you to get a wing nut bolt (M4) so you don't need to use hex tool. or one user mentioned this tool but I have not tried. amzn.to/30Ab62B

    Perhaps you should have explained exactly what you were doing and why because someone that has never had a scroll saw before will not know what the hell you're doing or why you're doing it. I can't believe I have to say this

      Dude! I'm a total newb and was even perplexed at the fact they didn't have any info about this in the effing manual. After searching for info I thought I had finally scored with this video, only to find out it has no sound and isn't very clear. No offense to the OP but fuuuuuccccccck this has been a frustrating journey. Hope you're a pro by now 🙂 happy scrolling.

    How did this holder stand up to use? I've read some reviews on these and people have said that they broke in half just after using it a couple of times. I think these would work on my Delta 40-150, but I am hesitant to spend the money only to find that they are junk. If I could find them on Amazon.ca I'd take a chance since their return policy is great. Can't find them at HomeDepot.ca, Lowes.ca, Rona.ca, Homeware.ca, KMS Tools... Sometimes it sucks living in Canada when you want stuff like this. LOL
