Traveling is one of our passions: we like to visit the most famous monuments but also to find the better "vide grenier", "friperie" and "brocante" (that's how the flea markets and vintage stores are called in France!).
In this video we will shop in 2 friperies (vintage clothing shops) and 2 brocantes (vintage shops).
The brocantes (vintage shops) that we visited:
- "La Fripette Malouine" - 1 Pass. Grande Hermine, 35400 Saint-Malo
- "Naphtaline Vintage" - 28 Grand rue, 22100 Dinan
- "Cote Broc" (the one that was closed) - 9 Rue Sainte-Claire, 22100 Dinan
- Brocante (it's on a side of the "Orange Bleue") - 6 Rte du Mont Saint-Michel, 50170 Pontorson

It’s nice the houses you were looking at by the beach were built on big stone. The houses by the ocean in northern California were built on sand and the ocean is eroding the foundations and multi-million dollar homes are sliding into the ocean because of the huge storms that occur now-a-days. Recently one just slid off the bluff into the ocean.
I like the clocks your husband had been looking at. They are very nice looking and has nice vintage look.

Impressive light show in unique surroundings with great music.
That pull over leather top with the Indian bead work is absolutely wonderful!! Love the marine shirt!! That skirt is pretty cute too!! Those plates with the purple flowers were beautiful! We call those types of plates "cake plates". I also like the color of Fabio's clock! Love that color of blue!! There were some interesting boots by the Holland plate.
Wow!! That sunset was beautiful and watching the tide come in was mesmerizing!!

What lovely cities! I love all of those Japanese style blouses! How amazing to get to stay at a castle!!! The room you're staying in is really lovely. Breakfast looked so good too. Mont Saint-Michel is one of the coolest places I have ever seen! Thank you so much for showing that to us, because I doubt I'll ever get there. The way the tide comes in is so beautiful and amazing. Ooh this video is so nice! We were in StMalo when I was 12 years old.We lived in Paris at thst tine and made a trip to StMalo and Mont Sr Michel. We had a hotel right by the beach. Eventhough it was Easter and not so warm, our dog loved it and to be able to swim in the ocean. I also enjoyed walking on the beach. The first secondhand shop you visited iwas my favorite. Such nice dresses and blouses wirh affordable prices. I ithink that is a cake dish that you bought. Right? Loved this series wsiting France. Cannot wait to see where you go next and what you will find!

The footed dish is a comport or compote. Some people believe that a compote will have a lid, and a comport not, but that's not strictly true. Comports come with and without lids.
Somebody suggested "compotier", which sounds more like a french word, so maybe "comport" is the English translation? Thank you so much for your help, you are very knowledgeable 😘
