NCAA Tournament: Were the SEC & BIG 12 overrated?

- Through the first 2 rounds of the NCAA Tournament, the Big 12 & the SEC winning % is .500 & under .500 respectively. While the ACC and the Big East is practically undefeated. I’ve always believed that the Big 12 and the SEC has been overrated all year and it’s finally being exposed in the NCAA Tournament.

Yes the SEC and Big 12 was overrated. They beat no one non-conference. They were highly rated in preseason polls and then beat other up to retain their rankings.
The Preseason polls are the real problem here… who said Mississippi St was good? Who said that Baylor was good? Who said that Texas was good? I bet you that they were all ranked in the Preseason.
The SEC conference doesn't win national championships. They don't make final fours other than Kentucky and Florida. They have no history. They should always be fighting to get in the tournament, and to get respect. The Big 12 is overrated every year. The ACC and Big East are real basketball conferences with teams that go deep in the tournament every single year.
Couldn’t have said it better. Now all of a sudden Alabama is to be reckoned with. South Carolina can play basketball? Nonsense
