Does PETE ALONSO KNOW that it’s a CONTRACT YEAR?

Does Pete Alonso know that it’s a contract year? Because he signed with Scott Boras, he intends the Free Agent market and get every dollar he can. But he has to hit first. The Mets need him to hit. And they need Jeff McNeil to hit as well. And they need to keep Joey Wendle on the bench. And they need Jett Williams or Acuna to come up. They need a whole host of things, starting with Alonso’s bat coming alive.

You said Cedeno, but I know you meant Ronny Mauricio. Yes, if Mauricio were healthy, McNeil would be hitting because his replacement would be on his ass. There is a lot of complacency in New York. They need a kick in the butt. They need Senga to come back. They need Pete Alonso to hit. NOW.
