Most of the reasons for quitting are one or a combination of the following reasons: 1) Health, 2) Family and 3) Fulfillment.
I believe you have make the choice that is best for you. There is no right or wrong choice.

Mutual Respect is important, no such things as: that's why we book the business class for you (that sounded so arrogant and total lack of empathy), no wonder you quit, I will do the same too. It is important to keep in mind : when we are in a higher position, it doesn't give us the right to be disrespectful to those below us.

@@TheKrazyKoala haha, KK, you know money just ensure a good materialistic needs of living, but as a graceful person, the ability to sense the beautify or even to create the beauty for a better world is also critical, otherwise one's life would be in dark . As a result, I always do meditation and reflection, always try to be kind to whoever I contact with, always feel appreciated when eating anything. In terms of hobby, I like cello and drama.

Do not feel down, come back to Singapore, and eat your favourite fares. This is simple but true - My health improves a lot after drinking adequate amount of water and cutting down on refined sugar (inflammation). Engage in strenuous exercise and stay positive.
Oh thank you đ what you said is true. I do need to cut down on sugar. I have a sweet tooth and this is my goal this year.

Why in this world would you be embarrassed with your accomplishments. KK you are looked up to by many successful people. People who have accomplished difficult task in their own lives , who are now looking up to you . It is way harder to quit a high pay job to chase your dreams than it is to continue with a job thatâs literally killing you . I owned printing companies for many years . During that time I made difficult decisions that would have made me a lot of money. I decided to not be a part of paying a purchasing agent under the table money so I could get big contracts. I wanted to be able to keep my morals . You made choices also and they were good ones . Great video ! Great job

i can relate to your situation as in how difficult it can be when someone is paid so good but at the expense of his/her mental health. But at the end of the day it's life and we need to live not work for things like some lackeys. Brave heart... brave decision...!

Saw one of the presentation, that once you make $60,000 a year, anything more than that, won't make you any happier. Instead, the person will be so focus on career, often neglecting relationship and other things. Most of them will be so career minded that that's what they basically do. How true is this, I don't know. But I always believe, the more one earn, the more one has to sacrifice on something. There's no two way about it.
i also saw the same presentation. the 60k may be the avg, some ppl need a bit more or a bit less. i think it's quite true. but not everyone realizes it right away. it takes time. how about you?
@@TheKrazyKoala I am a very contented person. You earn less you spend less and you earn more you will spend more, it's all relative. $60k (after tax) get you by sufficiently (for a single person).
TBH, I found myself happier back when I grew up with less money without any worry/stress. But as I make more money and have more material things, for some reason, my mind isn't as peaceful.

Finding a sustainable career is important that balances health and satisfaction. The part of staying in the Ritz and taking the first/last flights out resonated with me as I did those as well. Crazy hours, working in a taxi while trying to catch a flight and that stuff. I remember one trip to China and I was sick and alone before my flight out. My health suffered.

once you have the responsibilities, it's just too difficult to say no that you don't want to do it. it will become a vicious cycle and putting you into a trap, if i would say.

@@TheKrazyKoala The balance is in the art itself, sori to disappoint you if anyone is looking for a straight answer as in an MBA class. It is something very fundalmental which requires a paradigm shift in one's values in life to begin with , values so deep-seated and ingrained from a young age. Or in trying to follow what life-changing gurus recommend , one would ultimately have to face this need to re-orientate and re-prioritise, or else it is back to square one. That is the sole reason why many would feel high and gungho after a motivation class , but then remain in the rut and chase soon after. The secret is deep in the heart. I quited being a fighter pilot- not because I cldnt make it - onroute to a certain cushy job in an airline and left a sea-faring career travelling around the world at 19 yrs old in its wake to discover myself. I m glad I found it but isnt the one I really want in life which unfortunately is not possible in the context of my enviroment then and the needs of the Spore economy.

@@TheKrazyKoala Being born into abject poverty, and brought up living in a literal cowshed with no running water and electricity, in a broken family wrecked with severe ,constant violence and physical abuse- virtually fatherless and motherless if you kno what i mean - the dream in me to see the world didnt die. I joined a global cargo-going ship as a cadet but was exploited as cheap labor. And Wow! It was a dream come true! It opened my eyes big big at the raw age of 19 yrs old! Joined ship in Sao Paulo, Brazil after 48 hrs of back2back flights and land & water transports. It made me hate flying as much as I wanted to fly; and experienced racism in NYC for the 1st time ! I travelled up and down North and South America via the Great Mississippi ( that was where I learnt to speak proper English with an American accent) and the Panama Canal a few times before crossing the great Pacific to TsinTao, China in 33 days , right smack in a raging typhoon that gave me the 1st encounter of facing possible death. Then we dropped into Japan, Tokyo,Ginza, Shinzuku, back to Spore into the Army where I got cluelessly handpicked to defend Spore as a fighter pilot.....Another dream come true! It was great as it lasted flying the latest jet till something deep told me to scan far and wide, not just across the cockpit's array of instruments. I glimpsed a dream which was far and vague. I knew at that age being strapped to a killer machine or in a room at 30-40 km high in the sky wasnt what i wanted - but it was a most torturing decision. But I LOVE TO FLY, be a master of a supersonic machine!! Nevertheless ,I saw a picture in front of me, a life I wasnt born to live for nor be happy with. So, there it goes, even though every now and then I dream of flying in real dreams..... and I wish i cld travel all over the world again too..not on Utube of course.

I quit my stable job as well. Mental health is more important for me, since I wasnât happy doing it and itâs slowly taking a toll on me. Granted it wasnât a high pay like yours, but I was working many hours for little pay which wasnât justified nor rewarded. Taking a break to improve physical health as well. I guess this is called burnt out? No idea.
