Rodeo vs AT.LONG.LAST.ASAP is easily the hardest matchup here. Both albums are so unique and have alot of replay value.

I’m going with TLOP over DAMN, and I say this as a bigger Kendrick fan.
On paper DAMN’s concept is more complex, but I think TLOP comes together so well as an album experience. It’s an abstract representation of Kanye West’s mind and the track sequencing follows a perfect stream of consciousness. I’ve always found the album to be a very emotional experience. I like DAMN, but honestly it has more skips than TLOP (despite having less tracks). Production wise TLOP wins quite handily. Kendrick is of course the better MC, but in terms of an overall performance I have to side with how passionate Kanye is on TLOP.
To me DAMN is a great album, while TLOP is an utterly amazing album (my favorite solo album from Kanye).
TLOP is the second most kanye kanye album if yk what i mean. feels like he was really being himself (ye is number one to me)

@@d1queer both are good. it's just that rodeo is in another tier of its own. there's a reason kanye considers travis his equal. the only projects that aren't above rockys discog are owl pharaoh and dbr. Rodeo, bittsm and astro are objectively perfect and house some of the greatest pieces of music in history. comparing rocky to travis is like comparing rocky to kanye or cudi, it's insane considering those 3 are so far above rocky in every way possible. rocky is great but his music lacks the depth, complexity, production, story telling, theme, etc that travis has. literally the worst track in rodeo is better than anything rocky has done. it's not meat riding at all when the greatest artists in history show more respect to travis than they ever will to rocky

Life of Pablo changed my life and made me the biggest Ye fan. When DAMN came out I loved it but not as much. But the more I got older and grew with the albums. Bro Damn is just a whole another level. A lot of it goes over peoples head but I can’t blame ppl because not everyone can relate or understand the lyrics. I thinks it gets overlooked cuz it has a “mainstream sound” But man the structure of that album is crazy. I wish I could explain this more but I be writing a whole essay lol
can say the same about TLOP. the “which one” concept is executed so well throughout the entire album by being conveyed so well through both the beats and rapping by ye. FSMHP1 conveys both sides of kanye perfectly, with different beats that separate the shocking bleached asshole bars (meant to represent the rap and fame life) with the “i wanna wake up with you” chorus representing the family-oriented, gospel life. this is just one song, not even getting into the manic and creative beat on something like feedback or the amazing rapping on saint pablo. i could also write an entire essay on this album, for me the creative genius of kanye stands out with this album and it’s in his top 2 or 3. i think damn has some great performances, and is an interesting concept but to me it’s not even a competition, TLOP is revolutionary and so much more creative and imo just the better album

Lil Yachty’s a credited producer on most of that album and he is a pretty credible producer on his own. so i feel like he makes this album a real experience. there’s hundreds of notable artists in history who sing better than yachty but with the vocal effects i think it makes him a lot more interesting. especially in the sound scope of the entire album with added experienced features it makes Lets Start Here a really good album.

Agreed. Lu made a good point bout Humble being slammed between to slower paced tracks, which myself also found distracting and still to this day. TLOP has better production, has so many different sounding songs and themed songs, and doesn’t have a low song imo while DAMN has 2-3 weak links.
