In this video, I give you all the latest details on the new Dodge Demon.
Dodge has personally invited me to see the Demon in New York City on April 11, 2017.
I have been given VIP access and will get a behind the scenes look at the Demon. I will also meet with the SRT team members.

13.5 is how much hp the car has, 575 is how much the motor weighs, and 500 is top speed. easy

The dyno graph is integrated into the cars infotainment center, likely torque converter numbers because of sensors in that area and adding additional hardware at the hubs to monitor torque would just be adding excessive weight. having the cars computer that already monitors torque converter activity would be the most logical thing to do, and hp is just a simple torque equation away.so i wouldn't get your hopes up for a north of 757 "crank" horsepower number.
Danny Davila if this car has suspension set up for the drags its already ahead of the Hellcat they can't hook worth crap in stock form.
You have nothing to worry about. Prepare for it to keep its title of "worlds fastest production car" 909HP. And nothing lower than 891HP. You can take that to the bank.

First of all..CONGRATS, what an honor!!!!. Secondly the way I look at it is...ya..the 757hp might be disappointing to many...But...it's how improved the over all parts and how the Demon gets the power to the ground. The 0-60 times and more important to me the 1/4 mile times are just phenomenal if this be the case. We all know the tuners and us gear heads will find ways to hop this Demon up. Looking forward to 4/11/17

This car makes me feel like we are living in 1967. Back then you could go to the dealership and purchase a street driven race car. Many would argue that there have been MANY street driven race cars since the 60's, but a tool box? If thats included it's almost like Dodge is encouraging us to tinker. With all the gearheads that exist today, bringing a 10 second car with real time data, tools, and a huge amount of thought put into advertising the car...I'll probably never own the Demon, but man I'm excited to see them on the street

People are disappointed about the horsepower being that low. But everybody overlooks the other stuff like the air grabber hood or the drag tires and suspension.

13,5 seconds for the 1/4 mile, with the black key that gives you 575 HP and the launch control set at 500(x10) rpm. Easy
Red key should have around 800hp if my math is right.

Its not a torque figure as 500rpm is below engine idle speed.
And since the video highlights the suspension, I speculate that the 'formula' has more to do with that. Like g-force or lateral roll or something like that.

So if you pause the video at the right time just past the point where you see what the drag time is there is a point where it looks like the demon has an all wheel drive set up.

Where does he get the "RWHP" from? It's not a dyno readout. More likely it's the cars computer simulating a HP based on per-programed input data.

Dealership, close to Brampton, told me the HP was 757 with the weight reduction and suspension being the upgrades. Nothing confirmed officially though.

those numbers on drag strip mean that it will do quartermile at 13.5 and 500lb/ft of torque and 575 hp on black key
I think it may be 850 still, if you don't remember one of the earlier vids, with the #2567@35. 2576 CC or a 2.6L supercharger. 35 = Unit on the mercury scale. 35mmHg converted to PSI = 17PSI of boost. 17 lbs of boost easily creates 850+ HP. To make 1000HP it needs 22 lbs of boost. Also, the hellcat has a 2.3L supercharger, and it makes 11 pounds of boost, therefore making 707 HP.

The 0 to 60 is 3.0 and the quarter mile is 10.5 . Add that together
if yall knew a little about hp, you would know that 757 rwhp really means about 950 engine hp. divide rwhp by maybe .8 because of the drive train.

It has completely changed my life! I shit you not! I just traded my Vette, for a 2017 SRT Hellcat, in Destroyer Grey with black stripes. I' a changed man! Vettes look great, by any standard, but this new SRT-HC Sedan...? JEEEZUS! Maybe it's because Dodge had been making superior strides in R&D, but the fact that they've even considered throwing this much power into an otherwise average-looking grocery getter... I smoke the shit out of most people that feel the need to test this monster with their home-built rice-burners, having less C.I.D. than the contents of my Mt. Dew bottle! They all look so confident at the light, and then before they meet me at the next stop, they've wisely enough taken the previous left turn to avoid looking me in the eye! Dodge Brothers.... Thank you for finally being the first American Designed "True" muscle Sedan, that offers several factory-made upgrades! I'm completely stoked about driving this car! Yeah, of course my 'Vette's have provided an instant thought of "I'm not going to even test this guy, as much as I would really like to" from other drivers, but with THIS, I just lure them in, and pound the ass!

Oh yeah and just for kicks, i'll make a fool of myself guessing on the flashing numbers. Boost is relative to altitude. I'll guess that 13.5 is boost, 575 is the power, and the drag strip they tested at was 500ft above sea level. And since the numbers are a bit low, the only logical explanation is this is the black key.

at the 2017 gatornationals there was a Dodge demon
I believe it's going to have 757 hp also, but some of the other info on the data screens didn't seem right. If you look close it says it is at 125 mph at 1/8 mile, but then it's only up to 129 mph at the 1/4 mile.

It's the Dyno chart in the car im concerned about we don't know if it's going to be making 757 at the wheels or at the Motor. For example the hellcat has that HP screen also it's not the same as in the video but tells u when you reach 707hp so I am thinking it's going to make 757 to the motor not the wheels. Which is a lot since the car is suppose to have lost weight so should be pretty fast. Another reason I don't think it will be making 757 at the wheels is since that's close to 870 HP at the engine. Which would make no sense why they wouldn't be bragging about that. We all know all car manufactures go by how much HP the engine makes anyways so that's another reason. But we will see if it's going to make 757 at the wheels or not soon enough ofc I hope it does but we will see.

Instead of trying to squeeze every drop of horsepower from the same size engine; why don't they maximize modifications on a bigger engine, ie, 8.4 L Viper engine???

Just checked a couple other sources and it looks like the 757 is the torque, the HP is going to be around 815, just like the performance page hinted at in the teaser video Dodge released a couple months ago. So not the 900+ that has been hinted at but definitely an improvement over the 707 that the Hellcat is putting out currently. Plus the Demon is supposed to be a couple hundred pounds lighter than the Hellcat, most likely from the seats being removed. This adds up to a world beater of a drag car

did anyone also happen to notice in the diameter size of the tire 815 there's no way there's an 8:15 I think it's 815 horse, and a couple of the shots on the time kept saying 757 on the instrument panel so my guess is 757 foot pounds.

As far as the numbers I believe it will produce over 800hp and torque rating of around 787 and will just be a monster, no a real bugger of a Demon for the little guys because there will be hell to pay for the Tom, Dick and Harry Ford/Chev crowd. yeah it's only 57 more HP than the hellcat but u guys have to think about the tire size/setup plus the tech for launch control. the hellcat has really skinny tires for the power. 0-60 in 3 seconds is pretty phenomenal. cheers
Funny thing is I have a 0-60 in 2.9 in my hellcat on a 10.74 run. Bone stock except for drive shaft. I imagine the 3.0 in the demon is conservative. On a well prepped track its going to be more like 2.5

I want to believe 757 whp but I doubt it. The current SRT page reads crank hp not wheel hp so this would lead me to believe the same. Also, an extra 50hp coupled with the 220lbs weight reduction would indicate a 10.5 run. Considering most stock cats can run 10.7-11 range, and every 100lbs counts as a 1/10th.
Folks shouldn't be disappointed if the HP is JUST 757. All the ads that hint to the performance numbers is pretty interesting and keeps up the level of interest. If they shed 400lbs on the Demon vs the Hellcat then thats going to be a big deal right there - assuming its not just Rear seat delete.
If 10.5 is real the track time that'll be impressive for a car right off the lot
O I don't think it will make 750hp I'm pretty sure it will be around 900hp because my friends dad works for dodge as a manager and he saw the demon and all the specs before there were rumors about it
I have read a lot of people's comments about how they are disappointed in that it will probably only make 750 hp! Think about that for a second. What other car brand offers a drag ready car with 750 hp all under a full factory warranty knowing exactly what the car is going to be put through by it's owners. Hard launch after launch and street light to street light. They have to keep the horsepower numbers within what they can back up and support within that warranty.
I thought the same thing. I am not sure some people truly understand how much horsepower 750-800 really is! It's also interesting to read other comments about how the engine can't handle this power for too long. I'm sure those high paid SRT engineers never thought of any of that!
This car is meant to be a toy for the weekend drag racer anyway so all the HP in the world isn't going to make much difference on the street. I have a 2015 Scat Pack and 485hp is intense enough for me. I couldn't even fathom 850+ in my car.
Exactly. I think these people that are so disappointed in the horsepower numbers are the same people that simply just push a couple buttons and supe up every one of their "car's" on their Xbox's and PS4's to over 1,000 horsepower! Lol!! Reliably!

the 757 horsepower number was WHEEL horsepower, so at the crank it will make probably well over 800 HP
