I had a Boston a few years ago (gone now but never forgotten) If I was reading a book or looking at a catalog, Dudley would climb up onto the table, sit in the middle of the book and stare at me. He was the love of my life so I would give my attention to him instead (yes he was in charge) I have never regretted giving him all the attention I could, I figured I would be without him one day and could never replace that time. My boston never made a noise. I thought he couldn't speak. Then we got two bigger puppys. Now we know he can speak,very loudly! Jealous of them!

My Boston Terrier "Cloey" is definitely jealous. I have two other dogs and when I pet the other two, she comes right up to me, she will either cry or shove her head under my hand pushing the others out of the way, so I'm petting her instead. I really love the breed they're such wonderful dogs!
Yep . Having multiple Boston’s in the house I see this daily 🤣. If it occurs in my lap the jealous one gets removed as i tell them my lap is community property 🤣. If they don’t accept the correction they don’t get the privilege.

When I am on the phone Oreo gently play bites at my socks and bottom of my pants..reminds me when my boys were toddlers and I was on the phone they wanted attention..he is 10 months now❤🐾

When my girlfriend and I hug, our Boston comes up and plants herself right between my feet afterwards, as if to say: "He's mine! MINE!!"

When my Boston was young we had to work with a trainer some because she is very jealous and territorial with my husband but only in our house. So she was kinda a pain when we had guests (she still is a way in her barking which we never have been able to rid her of) and the vet also said she had some really great herding instinct and she tried to herd people in the house. Fortunately, she is also very food oriented so training her with food made sense. Letting people that visited giver her treats and kinda ignoring her poor behavior really helped. She is almost 9 now and I don't thing she is going to change now but she improved so much once we took it in hand. (Though I have to say I told my husband to do this stuff and he babied her too much. When the vet said the exact same thing Imfelt a bit vindicated. Lol) But Bostons are really strong-willed so you have to be careful with them. Bean has chilled over the years also. We have learned a great deal with her so I am pretty happy that I may be able to get another puppy soon. I also had 2 miniature schnauzers but they passed in the last few years. I'm so grateful for my puppets cause they always make me smile no matter what. They are a gift and we owe it to them to train them well and be consistent.
I have two bostons and they get jealous of each other constantly! Live with this on a daily basis.

Oh yeah! My older Boston always tries to get in between me and my younger Boston.
My boston will get upset when the cat sleeps with me on the couch, this results in a toy being dropped on the cat and myself since he can get up and survey the couch. At this point the cat thinks that the sky is falling and takes off heading for her cat tree. I think it has more to do with the couch being too small for all three of us to fit comfortably and with enough space between the dog and the cat.

I agree with you 100% on everything you discussed. Yes, my Tuxedo Boston Terrier, Bugsy, is my absolute most loyal defender AND companion. With that does come a large amount of jealousy at times. He definitely cuddles against me in various positions. The oddest thing to date is if I'm sitting on the couch, he will perch his 17 lb body typically on my right shoulder. Just try to take a mental picture of a pirate and a parrot perched proudly on his shoulder as they travel the sea. I know, that sounds completely crazy but it's true.
We hàve an extremely docile 90 lb English Bull Dog, Dozer, that sleeps 20 hours a day. But when he decides to get up, and Bugsy hears Dozer's nails walking on our hardwood floors, Bugsy immediately goes into a fight/flight response. His ears will perk up, his teeth begin to show followed by a series of growling and sometimes a physical altercation. Almost like two lions battling for the position of the King Of The Jungle. Both are approximately 8 years old. If anyone in this thread is also familiar with English Bull Dogs, they may agree they are incredibly loving and super lazy. Hence, I still wonder why Bugsy gets so angry with Dozer. I believe it boils down to the fact that Bugsy might feel less than, when we pay extra atention to Dozer. And that is where I believe just pure jealousy is the prime catalyst to Bugsy's aggressive behavior. Nonetheless, they both sleep alot. So, as the years have gone by and they've outgrown the "puppy stage" thankfully for the most part, they have learned to coexist.
In recent years, they've both grown older and a bit more compassionate towards each other. That is a huge WIN! Especially when you love both of your dogs equally and have proven that you will go to any lengths necessary to show them both the same amount of love, praise, royalty, and compassion💙

My mom grew up with Boston’s and when she was 16 my grandad took her to get her her own Boston. She nearly named me Priscilla after her. She was like 8 pounds full grown and would perch on her shoulder while she was driving. I love Boston’s!

Whenever I'm playing with my hamster, Trufa gives me the silence treatment. She completely ignores me, won't look at me and turn her head away from me.
The second Brownie the hamster goes back to his enclosure, Trufa turns back to her usual loving and playful self

Lola could be in another room and if shes or hears me talking to or petting my Pom...she runs and jumps up right between us. Not agressively. And Liams old and was aggressive with my other Pom in the past but with Lola he just kinda sighs and waits patiently for his turn.
My Boston terrier barks at me when I'm on the phone. His name is Blaze.
My Boston was jealous. He would get sO upset when I would spend time studying and not pay attention to him. He would pout, make noises (talk to me) and stomp his feet to get my attention. I got it on video because I couldn’t believe it! I miss those days with my bOy. Still devastated my baby is in heaven. I miss him sO much.

I'm very concerned that I am not a good fit for my Boston Terrier, Dodger,( 6 mos old). For one major issue I am 81 yrs of age and
6 wks out of knee replacement surgery. He is deaf. Doing signs to teach him. He is precious and very sweet but don't know if I should give him up for his good. He is very
bonded to me . He is loved.
This isn't considered jealous but if I give her a real bone she gets WEIRD and super possessive and she will growl and snap at any other animal casually walking by, even humans. Then again, my late Chihuahua got that way over a stale piece of bread once and refused to let anyone go near it for weeks!! And yes, they were both very well fed!!! When she's jealous she grabs her chew toy, chews very loudly with her back to me if we've...."had words" or she's feeling left out and won't even look up if I call her! Serious cold shoulder!!
If your dog attacks you when you hug someone its not because they are jealous, dogs dont know hugs and kisses in their world. So they take close contact as a fight, so he jumps in to help. 😁

My Boston, Panda will take her paw and try to bat my phone out of my hand if I’m on it too long and ignoring her. Also anytime my husband and I tries to snuggle on the couch or kiss each other she gets right between us and tries to lick us in the mouth. It’s rather funny.

I had a neighbor ( thank goodness she moved) that loved my male Boston dog Scooby. But her Boston female attacked Scooby when she’d come around. I hated it. Scooby is tiny- the runt of his liter and Maddie was huge. I really didn’t want Maddie around because I’d have to hold Scooby and it wasn’t fair. Why do people ignore the problems their dogs have and make others suffer. Ty Donnie for making this video

My female Boston constantly pushes herself in front of my male Boston to prevent him from having any affection from me or my wife. Our male is easy going, our female is a total attention freak who wants all the affection and attention.

I have 2 and the younger one Bella will see Jilly on our lap and will jump up and start pushing her off. Also Our Bella will run to the door and start barking knowing Jilly will jump down and run to see what she is barking about . Then Bella runs back and jumps up to take her place. First time she did this I couldn’t believe she was doing it on purpose , but now I have seen her do this many times.

Daisy is very pushy.She is so jealous she pushes dogs away from other owners and squeezes in between them to get attention from them too. She thinks it's all about her with everyone.

Oh yeah mine is jealous.... I'm working with her now before it gets worse but she has nipped me in the face and bits my fingers and toes. Its difficult she also uses her butt to push my 13 year old yorkie out of the way so the attention is lon her.
