Hey Brother- I was in Iraq, the same time that you were, in 2010. I was an Army Reserve Civil Affairs bubba. I did 4 previous deployments to Iraq as a CA Bubba, prior to the 2010 deployment. My fiancée - Cindy and I has a Boston. Her name was Stella. She was born with Pulmonic Stenosis (laymen's terms - major league heart problems). Stella crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on 30 APR 2022. She enjoyed her life of 15.5 months before she crossed over. Cindy and I are looking forward to getting another Boston in the future.

Trained my Boston every day, during the pandemic, to stay alone. It's really key. Tracking how long they stay away from you and improving on that is crucial for separation anxiety. He takes a nice power nap when we're away now :D

Feeding time is always crazy but so funny in our household, the crying, the begging, the extra sweetness and tons of kisses, the whimpering, and showing you where the food is😁😁😁😁😁

My 4 month has the pattern. Get up, go potty, eat and DEMAND PLAYTIME for 20 minutes or feel the wrath. He will chew or pee on anything he knows is yours if you don't play with him right away.
Play time is at least 4 times a day which is well over an hour or maybe more a day.❤

I have a 10yr old male Boston Terrier named Rumble....He was smart fella n easiest dog to train I could ever have, he doesn't even bark lol,.....I used to be a hater of small dogs but rumble very quickly changed my point of view in that department...

Thank you for making this video and for your military service!
I have successfully trained and raised Boxers (multiple tricks, potty training, basic obedience and limited forays into agility. My older boxer, a rescued mama from a backyard breeder, passed several years ago. Now, my younger of the two isn’t young at all - about 10 years old and the thought of her passing away have me leaning toward getting a pup to train with her.
I am wondering if there is crossover in what training my Boxers was like versus training a Boston. Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated.

I’ve always had a dog or two, encompassing many different breeds (including my current Boston) so let me just say that if someone can’t handle or train a Boston Terrier to be a fun and well-socialized pet they should totally reconsider their choice. Maybe a goldfish, or something. Or a cat.

I would disagree with the "barking". Mine and every Boston I've come in contact with barks a lot.

Autumn, Our Boston "Grady" very rarely barked, only if we had strange noises would He alert us, otherwise nothing phased him.
