Do hoverboards next plz
As in I couldn't find them in your affiliate link
Can you help me fix my ps4 my ps4 turn on then off in a splint second I think something wrong with the power supply
Did you ever figure out the xbox one s turning on and then off issue?
The best part of videos like this is all the equipment that doesn't end up in a landfill.
"apparently if they werent broken, they are now"
then proceeds to fix them, this guy, legend
The broken stick was likely due to someone stepping on it. Can’t imagine that happening any other way.
I love being able to use a good desoldering gun on stuff. It's so satisfying.
Yes, it is!
the joy on his face when he fixes each one makes me happy :) always fun to watch these vids
I come on these videos knowing that you’ll fix at least one of whatever it is you get.
I hope that I can always do that!
and if the one works he'll have a known broken one handy ;)
You come on these videos?
Only 4 replies my xbox 360 has the red ring of death so tronics can you give me some tips how to fix it
@@TronicsfixI have an unused Halo Reach Console, this maybe a long shot but what can I do to restore the Chrome End Caos or do have any suggestions of where you can purchase replacements?
The perfect amount of Q tips 😃
Lol!
@@Tronicsfix hey when should I change my thermal paste on my series s
So good to see you getting these controllers back out into the wild and NOT landfill.
Sometimes I feel like the only person who takes care of his electronics. SOOOO many people treat their stuff like garbage.
sometimes thats not the reason
they just get bad after excessive use
true hahaha
I’ve never seen such an in depth view of the series x analog stick, great fix as per usual dude you’re amazing at this!!
Surprisingly low amount of drifting joysticks! At least didn't make the video repetitive, good job as always!
Agreed! A lot of different fixes here.
Why the heck are these videos so darn satisfying to watch?!
Awesome content, man! Love it!
I watched your tear down of the dualsense to fix my drifting issue. Just needed compressed air and some electronic component cleaner and now it works great with 0 drift. Thanks 👍🏼
Not only your video's are breaking my boredom, i also learn many things, like better soldering etc!
I'm so early that when I clicked on your channel because I remembered I missed a video, youtube didn't even show this listed under the videos tab 🤔
Thanks for watching!
That vacuum solder sucker is pretty neat, i want one :)
I will never do this, but its so good to watch
Great video, the soldering of the thumb stick was interesting to watch. I usually beat the component leg and feed the solder into it. But if it works it works right. Love your vids!
I still don't know why people eat/drink while playing, if its water that's fine, but like juice or soda... no. Had the same problem, I found a Xbox 360 chrome controller at Goodwill and it was Sticky both outside and in the buttons, Dirty, and overall looking like it didn't work, took it home and gave it a clean and it looked brand new I was surprised that it wasn't all scratched up just a little bit and it worked perfectly!
I use a Xbox Elite V1 on my PC (and old PS ones). My Controllers only have little of that sweat residue and dust on them XD. Oh and of course the Sticks are worn down.
I had a little Stick wobble issue with that Elite v1, but i fixed it by opening it up and using tape to make a tighter connection to the Stick dome.
The worn down Sticks can be easily fixed since they are magnetic.
I wish there would be a V3 Elite Controller with maybe the haptic motors of the PS5. (I don't need the adaptive triggers, they break easily...unless they are made out of metal and not plastic)
Those long gaming sessions get you hungry and thirsty just gotta be clean about it
Nah, I like to eat BBQ ribs with no plate while playing video games :)
@@12345....... 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@12345....... LMAO 😆
Before the cleaning I was wondering if you'd make it thru that box of Q-tips...lol!
Ha, ha!
His videos act like meditation therapy on my brain, so satisfying 😇
When it comes to potentiometer replacement - I've seen an another video that potentiometers and new joysticks require 'calibration' and that simply installing them will not give accurate joystick position. Does anyone have experience with this?
I believe this guy could fix even my broken heart If I sent it.
Let's hope so.
This guy fixes broken hearts all day long, just look at him.
Just as a notification from this channel appeared I instantly came here, man! I love your creation!
This was a fun video Steve - great success !!!
You ever thing about doing cleaning videos? I find it so satisfying
I like all the information you give. Keep up the good work👍
Thanks, will do!
You checked also vibration and mini jack port in this?
Amazing video yet again Steve 😁
Hey thanks!
Nice work Steve keep it up!
These new controllers are wild. So complicated inside compared to even just a few generations ago.
Not as quick to fully disassemble as a 360 controller that's for sure lol. Now I know what to do incase I need to fix my controller in the future. Thanks for the video. Always enjoy your videos.
I watch your video everyday to learn the ins and outs keep up the good videos my guy
You're an inspiration bro !! 🙏🔥❤ love the content
I appreciate that!
Awesome video :) I really like that blue controller, didn't even know it existed, lol.
Yes, me too! It looks so nice!
I have one I like it a lot.
Are you and My Mate Vince going to do another Ebay challenge this year?
Love your vids!
I think that i like most is the possitive vibe you have
Super glad you posted a new video. Hmm I wonder what you are going to fix next? Maybe fix Chromebooks?
Great content as usual! Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I learned many things from you bro. You are truly inspirations ❤
I appreciate that!
This Released when I came out of school so happy!
Your cleaning montages are why I like your channel. You definitely go the extra mile to clean the devices. I bought a MacBook Pro off eBay from a refurbisher and had to take the keyboard out and clean up under it. Hair and food. It was gross.
Me too! I love the cleaning process just trying to get it all spotless!
Wow! That's sloppy work. Maybe they figured that cleaning is beneath them!
Idk why but i enjoy watching these fix vid alot.
Steve you went with perfect amount of thumbsticks in these! 👌
It's funny seeing Microsoft's old logo they haven't used in more than 5 years on a modern custom manufactured ARM chip.
Love these videos! Greeting from Sweden! :)
Surströmming!
If he received a controller that's sticky because of surströmming broth, he would need to wear a gas mask when cleaning it.
Do you source your replacement analog stick modules from amazon as well? Can't seem to see them in your parts links
Thanks for your videos! Keep up the good work!
Time to fix them : one afternoon ; Time to pile them up : Three days 😂
I love how you troll the solder and thermal paste critics.
Next Video: I bought all broken nintendo switch joycon with joycon drift in the world, can i fix them?
14:47 here’s where ya could mess with someone. Rearrange the X Y A B buttons when putting back together. Come on, ya know ya thought about it, anyone who’s had to clean a controller..DEFINITELY has thought about it😉
Nice repair vid✌🏻
You can't, they're all keyed differently so they can only be inserted into the correct slot.
...Well, okay, you could break the little tabs off to make it work, but being destructive isn't a fun prank.
@@mjc0961 Ok
Would you do some retro console repair someday?
watching from philippines..nice one steve
Do you have a video about the gamepad tester always wondered what it looks like
Im wondering what is you max. value the Xbox Stick can have at the "Gamepad Tester" until you can say its drifting. I have some Controllers too but found out that a value about 0.07 doesnt affect the game.
Where do you buy the spare parts, like the thumb controllers and the ports?
I really like your Videos Steve, and because of you i started my own repair shop.
But what i dont understand is that you always stick through that label to get the middle screw. Why you dont heat it up with your heatgun at 100°C and peel it off?
It works super nice and you can put it back on as it have been never apart.
great professional fixing
Can you use the potentiometers from that destroyed analog stick to fix others?
Ladies and Gentleman, Today we got the perfect amount of Solder. So Steve is now Officially the Master of the perfect amount of Thermalpaste and Solder.
Except he always puts on too much thermal paste. The correct way is just a dab in the middle.
Great video!!
Your videos are so awesome! Hope someday I could be at least half good as you!!! cheers!!!
Love this kind of videos. I own a xbox series s and I'm going through more controllers more then i have with any gaming console I've owned. In the last year I've had 3-5 controllers all because stick drift. If I keep running in to these problems I'll end up making my move over to Sony.
Great job man 👍
Tried to fix an Analogue stick on the new Series controllers and messed it up. The new ones like the the Elite controllers seem to have very small metal cylinders that sit inside the board and I destroyed some of them or the solder sucker pulled them out.
What are you putting on the board from the syringeright before you desolder the joystick
Steve: they weren't broken before, but there broken now
Me: well hes gotta fix something that's broken😂😂
U could 3d print and make a thumb stick? Thats my suggestion.
I notice you using the bent conical tip more as of late. do you think this is the best generic tip to use? just want your opinion. thanks!
Oh nice Friday treat :)
Hope you enjoy!
Have you ever dealt with double click issues? I have a Xbox one controller that I use on windows 10 and the rb intermittently double clicks. It does this on Bluetooth and wired directly so I think it might be hardware? Is this issue able to be fixed without a new button or controller?
Rhyme for sponsors morning brew is my favorite news, let's get back into fixing these series two's
that thumbstick was destroyed, but perhaps the crack was from the fall? 😉
I'm just glad he gloved up for that sticky one
these videos are always so great to watch and honestly teach me some and give me a want to fix things! tried to fix my switch though and didn't work out haha
It doesn't always work out BUT at least you tried. You can fix them all but as you practice more you'll be able to fix more.
You should see what I did to my XB 360 Controller 😃😂! 1 of a kind.
Where do you get your joysticks? I tried to fix mine but they were uncalibrated and I was unable to calibrate it properly.
I’m very curious how the controller managed to get so damn sticky on the inside. Great video as always!
One button you didn't seem to test was the sync button at the top. I'm having that issue with one of my controllers
I have cleaned them in the dish washer without the dry cycle in abasket with a lid, works great
first time seeing a desoldering gun, cool!!
Nice vid! I’m fan of xbox one vid fixes!
I'd love to see your thoughts on the new stick drift fixer by Helder that Macho Nacho covered recently
Perhaps a side channel where you balance consoles and controllers? Enjoyable video, as always.
What thumbstick sensor replacement did you use?
I'm a simple man, I see cleaning montage, I click like.
I didn’t see you check if the controllers worked wirelessly with the console , I had issue with on controller which wouldn’t connect with the console..?
@TronicsFix Hey man I don't mean to be nosy but do you mind linking the de solder gun with the built in vacuum? Please if you can it would be very helpful. Thank you and keep up the great content!
When cleaning sticky stuff I always use a 90/10 mix of IPA and water.
Just IPA does not dissolve sugar very well.
What temperature did you set your soldering iron to?
I just got one and if you hit the RB button just right it rattles/echos like crazy haha. I'd hate to take apart a brand new one so ill leave it alone.
What flux do you use? Also if dont mind me asking where do you get your sticks?
Jusr wondered if you have ever come across an issue with the elite series 2 not turning on at all and any known issues/fixes for this? Was working fine and had the issue where it wouldn't turn on but started working again but now won't turn on at all even with the cable plugged in
Do you know of any sites that sell just the rubber on the joy sticks? My sticks still work fine and I don’t really want to replace them just because the rubber wore off. Or do you know of any rubber dip or something to do?
Can you clean the stickiness out of controllers by just soaking the whole controller in IPA without taking them apart?
Do you not check them wirelessly to make sure the bluetooth chip works?
Whats the app/software that yoi are using to test the controllers??
I tried the controller test app available in microsoft app store and is a piece of junk, it will not detect stickdrift....
These consoles and controllers are dropping like flies
I'm curious if you didn't bathe the parts in ipa to clean them for the video or if It's just not been effective for you
