I should send you electronics lol I do fix my own just usually if I have the money I'll buy new to save the time. I got multiple ps4s and 5s that I know the broken part just never fixed it. PS4 with the Bluetooth controlling chip needs replaced and that's brand new again lol. It's like 20 bucks.

43 screws lol so you counted. It felt like 10000 last time I took my PS5 apart 🤣 i fixed it but got a new one anyways cause 2 other things were broke. I should mail it to you. My HDMI was fuzzy so that was bad probably and controller antenna broke. I fixed it drinking and tripped on it 🤣 the main issue was thermal paste needed respread. O and I replaced the fan. I did all that and the HDMI went fuzzy and I was like... Buying a new one 😂 but it still works. Got no case. Just a giant hunk of metal. Just needs HDMI and antenna replaced or fixed.

honestly you don't use enough Tools to attempt use flux dispenser on board... it help to fix crappy component ... use flow chart of asus previous model majority they are same in design block in pcb unit unless new generation gap of motherboard occur....

Maybe attempt to power up while watching through a thermal reader to see if there’s anything hot or has an odd flow of current. It’s sucks but you could also multimeter your way through…

I love how you never talk crap about other repair shops. Youre always respectful and give them the benefit of the doubt even when its obvious the other shop did a terrible job.

DK Oldies just buys up retro stuff and then rips ppl off. Basically scalpers, and I feel that no one should buy from scalpers. Support decent retro sales ppl and not scam artists.

Great fix Steve and giving some insights that you’ve found regarding the area that doesn’t get much heat/love. I hope the treatment is going well and praying for you.

Be careful when assembling the white screws one was in the wrong hole where the 4 screws for the fan goes. These screws are different take note of this and I would mark the hole that this screw goes in to avoid taking the cover off again. In all it was very easy for me just a bunch of screws😅 now I have a cleaner ps5 that did not need cleaning but I like to take things apart since I was a child so this was fun.

So if i buy from dk i should send it to you first😂

Had mines for 3 years started shutting off by itself till I opened it and cleansed it of course lol still shuts off but not as much 😅

Anyone intimidated by stage three; I just finished doing it to mine that I hadn't cleaned since bought in 2021, really not as bad as you might think. Here are some tips n small issues I ran into along the way: 1.) Make sure you go out and buy a t8 screwdriver bc odds are you don't already have one in your tool box, and pliers are a must for some of the cables. 2.) Have a way to separate the screws and organize them so that you know where they go back. I did like four Tupperware dishes and ust assigned each stage to one dish, then as I took them out I placed them in a circle trying to mirror the general shape of their orientation within the console. 3.) He puts back some of the screws in the wrong places in this video, try and mark holes where there was no screw to begin with as you unscrew the protective metal plate. 4.) After you unscrew all 41 screws, the cover will still take some coaxing to get off of the motherboard as there is adhesive holding it there, don't brute force it. I went gently around the edge with a flat screwdriver and then pulled up using the top left and bottom right corners.
