Third. I can't wait to see them on the truck. I have been binge watching your channel for 2 days now. Keep it up, bud!
I can't wait either! and thank you, I really do appreciate it!
Finally someone that knows proper rattle can 50/50 ratios shit looks good for what it is bro what like 100$
Were you able to get three coats on all four pieces with just one can of paint?
Are you using 600 Grit sandpaper at 5:15 when your lightly sanding the primer?
600 grit is correct, not sure why i said 800
I’m probably about to order tow mirrors for my 02 Silverado
They really help the look of the truck from what i have been noticing, I cant wait to get them on!
Mitch Carveth what brand are yours? I’m probably going to go with a set off of ebay
Not sure on brand, got mine off ebay lol
Mitch Carveth sweet! I’m gonna order some and paint the caps white to match my truck
How good does it hold up over time
It's doing great, the drives side mirror even got hit by another truck and it only chipped a couple spots in the paint.
do i need a primer sealer? i've seen a ton of videos but no one really uses it
I always like to use a primer, you will need adhesion promoter if you want the primer to bond to the plastic properly.
@@MitchCarveth ok and i have new bumper ends that are metal and black. what do i need to do for sanding and what grits to use before applying primer?
Could I just use a microfiber towel for the wax and grease remover?
Just make sure it doesn’t leave anything behind and you will be good.
Hey man I’m doing the base paint snd it’s drying not glossy but it’s glossy paint. What does that mean thanks
Make sure the final coats are a little thicker and even, going too fast or dry spotting will make the paint come out a little foggy or dull sheen. From what I've learned with using rattle can "gloss" it just means that its not flat like standard base coats, it won't come out real glossy unless you use clear coat.
@@MitchCarveth okay I will try that now. Thank you I’ll come back and update you.
@@tacos1308 Sounds good man, keep me posted and anytime!
@@MitchCarveth after the whole process and after the clear coats they became grey. So I don’t know what exactly happened 😳😂
😳 Not gonna lie to you, im not sure what happened either lol
