Just been flying the spitfire and the meshersmitt with my nephew, love these things. Fly so well and so scale. Your landings at the end per perfect. That's our next task to practice. Nice video.
Great to hear your enjoying these war planes
Which one is bether?
Love the review, I agree about how fragile the xk models are, my xk600 has had loads of repairs, I strengthen repairs with tissue and water based 'eze dope' a coat of this all over makes them much more resilient from crashes from the start. Also the xk has a longer lasting brushless motor, but of course this is no advantage with a weaker foam. I love the little Mustang and have just bought the Spitfire too, as you say certainly better for beginners.
I have a Mustang, Messerschmitt, P47 Thunderbolt, Spitfire.
With a lot of skill can land on the cricket strip on its wheels.
Ok im jealous of those landings
Loved the video. I bought the bf109 earlier today and I’ve been trying to find a comparison between the two and three prop planes and then I gave up but here you are doing just that thing
I do have the Corsair and 109. I can say, the 109 likes to go into random flatspins when doing maneuvers.
Thanks for the great comparison vid! Very interesting observations about the 3 bladed prop. Will give it a go on the bf109 asap. I agree it looks from the video as the mustang is more stable. Perhaps they have changed the board somehow? I find the mustang and corsair both excellent and butter smooth. The BF109 is nowhere near as good, but then I was only able to fly once and that was on a windy day and with the 3 bladed prop. Cool look Spit though!
I have read on the Bangood answers they are planning a Zero to be released next. I too hope they keep going with these series, it would be amazing. A bind & fly would also be a very welcome addition. I'd like to see perhaps some bombers, or a P38, maybe a Hurricane, Bearcat, FW190, ME262 ... Anyway, I love these little birds. Thanks again for the vid mate and Happy New Year - Stay healthy!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy new year . The gyro board does look different and maybe it is programmed differently or its the different shape who knows but I'll be looking forward for a zero
@@blowy48flyrc You could improve on your landings as you keep to stall when coming to landing.. I would try and keep some more speeds and just before touching the ground cut off the throttle without touching the elevator. This way palnes will just slide on the air cussion gently landing on the belly and not hitting it with the nose or tail or upsidedown.
Great comparison vid thanks. I hope they bring out a rtf edf jet stabilised park micro, that is what is missing from my life! 👍
Thanks and that would be great RTF edf
Ive got the Spit and Corsair in this range, my fav is the Corsair to fly, but the Spitfire looks wicked in the air, i remove all undercarriage, tail wheel just pulls out, and fly on 500mah batteries, and can just get about 18 mins out of one battery
ive been flying RC stuff for 20+ years, but these little wonders i really do enjoy, so cheap and dont break on landing, but the propeller comes off, to protect it and the aircraft,
Great review and well done keeping it in shot for us. These 400 series warbirds are fast. On my channel I fly them over The White Cliffs of Dover - England UK. Nice flight test thanks Blowy ✈️
Thanks for stopping by
I would love to have the spitfire.. This looks like a really awesome company
Just subbed, I enjoyed your video very much. My Mustang just arrived today, I also have the Volantex Ranger 400. Guess what I'll be doing this weekend?
Great comparison, Blowy mate. The Spitfire was a shade faster on the two blade prop, and yes, the Mustang looked a shade smoother too. Are you going to replace your Bf109? Happy Christmas to you and yours... (and what a great job was made of the filming, as always!)
Thanks and happy Christmas and I still waiting for a final response to the faulty bf109
excellent video mate. hopefully the BF109 is airworthy soon aye !
Thanks and it will be good to see bf109 in sky
Prop hunt on mine got to where it would not hold the prop...they must glue it on, i had to heat up a screwdriver with a torch and touch it to the prop shaft to get it off...and the replacement was way loose..stuck it back in with super glue..wish the motors were easier to replace..the brushes seem to give up about 80 flights
Thank you my friend for responding about the props Chang out on the p-40..NOW..will you ever get a chance to review that
RAGE RC RTF.. SPIRIT OF ST LOUIS 3 CHANNEL FLYER..???
Probably not sorry I can't buy every plane
Have you used the two blade prop from the Mustang?
I think the Mustang flies a little better and it will loop happily in mid mode whereas the Spit snaps into level flight at the top of a loop.
They're not precision made so I'm thinking that they get to a speed where the airflow becomes turbulent and induces buffeting or wing wobble
I think your theory about the props might be right: I just got mine, ordered about a 3 weeks ago and it came with 1 x 3bladed prop and 2 x regular 2 bladed props (with a smaller cone). Yet to try it though!
Really good to know thanks for telling us
well done. But to me it looks like the Mustang tends to drop faster hänging heavier in the air. The one close sepeedy turn looks more dynamic. But overall the spitfire looks easier to controll and less shaky? Stallspeed is a bit lower? Or Is it the wind?
I hope they do a B25 Bomber. That would be nice
Which one better flayer do you think personally Blowy? I was dilemma with great flying stability on P51 and awesome design on Spitifre lol. And I doesn't own any of RC yet. Appreciate your sharing on this Sir!
Nice video. I think the 'windshake' you talk about is the Gyro over compensating. I suspect the gains are too high. My Spitfire does it, but only at higher speeds when there is more breeze. It doesn't do it in Expert mode at all. But the stock Tx is not great for using Expert mode, too twitchy on the sticks. I've also flown mine on a 2 blade prop from the T-28. I preferred the stock 3 blade, although I didn't think there was a huge amount in it. Felt like the 3 blade had more climb, but maybe not quite as fast flat out.
Good comment thank interesting no shaking in expert mode
I fly my p51 in 10-15 mph wind. Expert mode us out of control until i reduced aileron and elevator throws. Expert mode it will fly inverted pretty decent.
Noooice
Is this video taken in Alstonville?
Merry Christmas Blowy 🎄
Thanks happy holidays
Is the 3 blade propeller better on the mustang? or is there not much difference from the 2 blade.
Good question and to see if the 3 blades makes the mustang bobble
Awesome planes hope they make a fw190 or ju87 stuka be amazing if they made b17 bomber and other bombers what transmitter are u useing
Yes hope they make some more mini war birds and lm using a radiomaster tx16s
@@blowy48flyrc happy new year to you 👍👍yeah be awesome if they did i did ask them ro make the bf109 n spitfire and next minute they do i ere that a Japanese warbird is next the zero. I have a specktrum dx9 how do u bind that to these planes as i have the corsair p51 the p40 hope to get the spitfire n bf109 when the crazy prices drop
@@richardbrown9035 thanks happy new year to you. A zero would be great. You need a multi-protocol radio to be able to bind to these little birds like radiomaster tx16s
@@blowy48flyrc dam dam i see dude i did have the t16 but had bad luck with it flying my scale gunships heilys n then the screen went blank n down came my gunship so u would not use t16 no more i found a link where you can buy the 400nm zero in Japan
Hello my friend.
Waiting to see if the 3 blade prop will fit on the p-40..😊👍👍
No mate eachine 3 blade will not click on XK p40
@@blowy48flyrc ok thank you my good friend..👍👍👍
If you want to steer it better on the ground..just replace the tail gear and put a tail wheel on to the rudder for ground steering..
Good idea
@@blowy48flyrc Great my friend..will be waiting to hear back from you when you put the wheel on the rudder..you will truly like it..😊..and hope you had a great new year..👍👍👍
Awesome landings👍👍👍Spitfire and Mustang fly way better than bf-109 which I purchased. Bf-109 stalls a lot and making weird turns😂🤣🤣
Tahr is why Germans lost the war..;-)
@@theartofflying3108 The BF109 was a great plane if you knew how to fly it. I think the English and American pilots were better trained and also not on pervitin which had a lot to do with it.
Ps..did you check to see if this Spitfire had rudder mixed in with the Ailarons..
Because you didn't need the rudder for the turns..??? Because I noticed that you didn't check for that when you did the unboxing..???
Neither of these have aileron/rudder mixing, but they are very capable bank-and-yank planes in expert mode. Rudder will be needed in the easier modes to tighten the turns, but with the gyros on, you can rest assured that you won't tip-stall them with your rudder.
Question my friend..how big of an area is needed to fly these little war birds..??
I need to measure this some how and lm not should if football fields are different sizes around the world but half a football field is about minimum. It depends on if there's any trees around the edges and buildings
@@blowy48flyrc in general..how large of a area is needed my friend..
And question 2..can the 3 blade prop from the spitfire fit on the p-40.and fly..because the real p-40..has a 3 blade prop..??? THANK YOU my good friend for your quick response..and will be waiting for your response to this question..😊👍👍👍.and ps you will truly like
Putting that tail wheel on the rudder for ground steering..test it out and let us see that review..also can you show us how to remove or change out the propellers on your work bench..that would be great..
Put 1 and a half grams weight on the nose ,mine shook aswell the weight stopped it
eachine should make a 800mm-1000mm series
Hello friend! I have one XK P40 and I want to buy another Warbird! Between the Eachine Spitfire and Eachine P51, which one would you recommend, sir? Thanks, and sorry for my english!
We think the p51 flys better and ezyer to see in the sky
@@blowy48flyrc Thanks, sir ^^
Yes! Mustang was a lot better.. I love my eachine P-51 more than others...
Good to hear your feedback
@@blowy48flyrc Thanks blowy👍
If you put a 450mah In the mustang it will fly faster, if you put a 500mah in the mustang it will fly slower,
It's compelling to test that theory with the spitfire and bf109 aswell, slight change in weight might help ones such as the Trojan or spitfire since it has a very wide angle wing shape, a heavier battery may help mitigate the shaking?
yes a little nose weight could help
Well hello my good friend listen I have a question for you will that 3 blade prop fit on the eachine P40 because the P40 had a 3 blade prop instead of a two blade prop on the real P40 and that one you can paint the spinner white remember I was telling you about it.. so can you let me know if that 3 blade prop will fit on the eachine p-40..???..will be waiting for your response my good friend..???
Just buy one it’s like $3…..?!?!??!?
are you from nz or ausy
Accent = Ozzie
Ps..you didn't do a slow pass...
You're probably right sorry
Maidened my spitfire this weekend with moderate success . It's a great flyer when behaving (thigh imho the Trojan is still the BEST handler in my eachine hangar).
However, i found the spitfire would suddenly bank (always to the left i believe) with NO inputs, practically falling out of the sky. This with gyro/stabilization on, fwiw.
Happened four times yesterday, then again a couple of times today ... perplexing.
Anyone else observing similar behavior with their spitfire?
sorry i hear you having a problem hope it disappears
Mine is flying perfect. Only thing I did was crimp the tail rudder to make it fly level. It kept climbing. Tail has to be adjusted. Bit otherwise it fly's so great and does all the stunts. Bring s a smile all day.
@@RS-yl8vy there lots of fun
