Here are five ways of getting backlinks, all of which I have done myself:
1. Featured.com - Connects journalists in need of experts to experts in need of press. I have a 75% acceptance rate here. Journalists who use my quotes give me a backlink.
2. BoostBenchmark.com - A guide of the highest impact directories to submit a brand to. I’ve submitted my products to many directories for the SEO benefits. Each directory gives a backlink.
3. Viral Stunts - Announce something big (or pull it off). Share it with relevant journalists. If it’s juicy enough, it goes viral and gets a ton of links.
4. Podcasts - AIpodcastmatcher.com connects podcast hosts in need of good guests with relevant guests. I used it to go on 30 podcasts in 3 months. Each appearance yields a backlink. A bunch will be nofollow, but as many experiments have shown, even nofollow backlinks are valuable.
5. Micro SaaS - You no longer have to be a programmer to make a SaaS. People are building Micro SaaS tools in 12 hours that provide meaningful MRR and backlinks.
