    Good video. I only disagree with reliability of 4 cylinder BMW engines. They are known to have a lot of issues, primarily timing chain tensioner.

    I have a 2017 sDrive28i with all available upgrade options. It has the double turbo 4 cylinder. It was owned and maintained by the BMW dealership manager. One owner. White with saddle leather. It drives AMAZINGLY and so far I've put 70,000 miles on it with zero issue. I bought it when it had only . I follow the BMW maintenance schedule and I would drive it cross country if I needed to. I get compliments all the time and I just can't say enough good things about this car. I would add, though, that I wouldn't get one any older than 2017. The earlier year models had HORRIBLE timing chain issues which BMW has since rectified on the later year models.

      I’m looking at the xDrive version in blue but I want to change the color at some point. How much do you think that will be?

      Nice, sounds like a great car with a great set of features. Thanks for watching!

    Paint is mismatched on the front driver side door. Champagne & silver are tough repaint colors to match.

    The problem with the 2.0T engine is that up to 2014 it suffered from horrible timing chain issues that are expensive to repair. It was corrected in mid 2014 but the engine to get in the early years is the N52 naturally aspirated engine (which like you mentioned was only available in 2011) it is BULLETPROOF. The N52 isnt all that powerful but most people buying an X3 get them with the base engine anyway. Good review 👍🏼

      @TheAuto101  Před 2 lety +2

      Agreed, the inline six N52 is the sweet spot. Thanks for watching!

      Would you buy a X3 2014 with 53, 000 miles in excellent condition for $22,000.00 ?

    • @gilgonzalez5902
      @gilgonzalez5902 Před 2 lety +1

      @@arnoldcastro9821 not a bad deal but i doubt its a 35i most likely its a 28i which has that crappy N20 engine. If its a 35i then go for it for sure.

    Also some people including people at BMW say don’t even get one that’s a 2015 and above with the N20 even though those components were redesigned because it could still happen. 2017 and up X3 with the B46 ULEV OR B48 engines only.

    Don’t get a 2.0l before 2015! Unless you like to spend your money on timing chain assembly and oil pump drive assemblies. The 2.0l N20 and N26 were riddled with these problems plus others. A class action lawsuit was leveled against BMW for it.

    I'm looking at a 2013 x3 28i with 106k miles for 10k do you think that's a deal or I should worry?

    • @TheAuto101
      @TheAuto101  Před 2 lety +1

      Tough to find "deals" in the current used market, but best to check with a local mechanic before purchase. Thanks for watching!

      I'm looking to buy the exact same car but with 140k miles. I'm just scared about the timing chain issue but I guess it has over come that issue since it has done 140k miles. Do I need to worry about buying this car?

    Hi, I want to ask about a X3 f25 m packet 11/2012 2.0 diesel with a lot of kilometres about 380.000. The previous owner had made maintain service in a specialized BMW workshop and it costs almost 6.000€ in 28/07/2022.. is it worth to look this kind of car with this kilometres? Is in good price..

    • @TheAuto101
      @TheAuto101  Před rokem +1

      That’s quite a bit of kilometers! Get it checked out with a mechanic you trust and it’ll give you a better idea of the value

    these days anyone can put a "review" with cleaver face.
    You have no clue what you're talking about and wish noone follows your "advise"
    2. liter BMW engine n20 is the worst engine ever produced in auto industry
    3.0 liter turbo is another nightmare, but a bit better than N20.
    For F25 the best option is either diesel or petrol N52, simple and well know fact- this is for those who would ever consider buying this old bmw crap ever. But in general, not recommended buying any bmw of those years with N series engines.

    BMW F25 series’ long-term reliability is abysmal compared to the RAV 4, CRV, Highlander & RX 350.
