    I've been playing Minecraft on the Switch for YEARS, and it preforms just fine! No big performance drops in normal gameplay, so I can play Creative and Survival just fine. Comfortably even! And the loading times don't really bother me all that much. I don't really play on any competitive servers or anything like that, so I could just be a statistical anomaly when compared to how people play Minecraft in the modern day. Sorry if I like to enjoy my games, but I love Minecraft on my Switch

      Hey! Love this kind of feedback. Glad your enjoying the game your way because that's what it's all about, especially minecraft. I'm also very glad to see the game performing better on the switch because it allows far more access points

    Yeah, I've tested it thoroughly on my Switch, both overclocking and underclocking, and it runs well. However, servers are pretty bad at times. Playing together with your friends seems to work pretty well, but it's inconsistent. You can play for like 1-2 hours with no problems, and all of a sudden, chunks stop loading properly or you get spikes. The Switch edition by 4J Studios that's discontinued is definitely the best optimized. The saddest part is you could just get a telescopic controller or an Xbox/PS controller with a phone clip, and it would be a better experience. Even midrange Android phones priced between 300-500 dollars would play better. Though, if you have like a 50-dollar phone, the Switch will win. And of course, any high-end Android phone or recent iPhone will be amazing too.

      Yeah agree with all of this. As someone who owns pretty much every version of minecraft possible including legacy editions and the new3ds xl version. This video wasn't a "this is my only option" video, a bit more so to encourage those with only a switch that they can still play which years ago wasn't the case.
      I normally play bedrock on ps5, which there is no ps5 version yet.
      My goal will always be to help promote people to play games. But glad you've also tested and had a relatively positive experience! Thanks for the feedbaxk

    A bit unrelated but I wonder if installing it on system memory and sd card has a big perfomance difference, because there’s always people saying it runs bad so maybe that could be related

    • @BigSharkGaming
      @BigSharkGaming  Před 13 dny

      This WAS installed on an SD card, so many be onto something
      But I tried both cartridge and downloaded and yielded almost identical results.
      I think it all comes down to the fact they figured something out in the backend to optimize better

      @@BigSharkGaming I explained myself bad
      To give an example, in my Wii U Minecraft worlds generate faster if it’s installed on the nand
      I don’t have Minecraft on my Switch yet but with some other games I’ve played I noticed that playing with the cartridge or SD card seem to have around the same loading times
      I was wondering how would Minecraft on the Switch run if it was digitally installed in the system memory instead of the SD card, since Minecraft is always using the memory because of chunks and that kind of stuff
      Although yeah, even if it were to run better on when installed on the nand it should be optimized to run well through either cartridge or SD card

      @BigSharkGaming  Před 13 dny

      @PixelPandas wii u is also legacy edition. So that could also play a part into it.
      Regardless. I can try both system and SD and find out for ya

    Yeah, nintendo switch berock gets horrible autosave times when you play long enough on a world

      Appreciate you watching in general.
      And I haven't experienced much in terms of problems. Will stream switch only with friends as soon as this hits 1500 haha

    The performance is HORRIBLE on Switch, coming from a switch player. around 30 minutes of loading. By the way, for me, 1.16 started the issues.

      My video was 1.12 originally. But I played for a couple of hours with minimal issues.

    Basically what I’ve read is it’s not worth it only because the switch can’t handle it? Unfortunate… just wanted it for co-op.
