      As much as i might get heckled by people i feel vendreads will become broken if they get two or three good support cards
      Ps i hope this happens cause i want a deck like nekroz to come back to the competitive scene

    • @pearserooney1307

      The really sad thing is that vendreads were really strong after the first set and the the ocg got then in the extra pack and Konami just went, "there no longer tcg exclusives so... There's no point in any good support!!!"
      Also saviour is supposed to support majestic and vendread which means it's hopefully gonna have a tribute effect with hopefully a search effect and a GY effect since both decks need those for synergy

      @@koruoshouji9960 I mean if you play friendlies chances are you will play against a fun deck meaning your bad deck could win. Now obviously don't use bad decks in tournament. Competitive scenes really aren't meant for fun, many would love to have fun while playing competitive but its not likely.

    • @theWIIISEguy
      @theWIIISEguy Před 3 lety +1

      @@livingstone1084 Right. I agree which is why someone would be curious to know if the deck they just bought sucks. And on the other hand if they're into friendlies. Perhaps they don't want to play meta. I literally just dulled my friend recently. We're pretty casual and when I explained to him that "Witch Golem Aruru" was a "Hand Trap" he immediately started calling his own card bullshit and said he didn't want to play it.
      Note that Aruru was the only card that genuinely kept him alive against me. As he decked out with very low LP and a has 52 card count vs my 40. If your deck "sucks" its likely to not have the "dreaded" "meta" label. I know it's not that simple. But people are like that.
      They still get to decide what to do after the video ends anyways. I understand your plight though, completely.

    @TheTrueLeafless Před 6 lety +31

    • @UrsaFrank
      @UrsaFrank Před 6 lety +2

    • @TheTrueLeafless
      @TheTrueLeafless Před 6 lety +1

      The Trap monster is more of a Palladion thing...it can't even replace World Armor as a World Legacy searcher in Krawler decks as it is way more specific (as it needs to be summoned in a linked zone (and Krawlers...if at all only go into Subterror Behemoth Fiendess in their 1st turn).

    • @UrsaFrank
      @UrsaFrank Před 6 lety +4

      Really? Krawlers is one of the decks I play at my locals and I took out fiendess because I never used her. I prefure to set up my defencive plays and graveyard first turn as krawlers play style lends itself better to a long grind and advantage game than a 1st turn spam game and Fiendess is vulnerable as all hell when left on the field during your opponents turn plus its a target for communion and you really dont want to waste that. The trap monster just helps the deck with long term consistancy and can be used as material for any of there links so it synchronizes very well with the decks style

    • @TheTrueLeafless

    I'd like to see firewall dragon not banned but errataed so it only takes cyberse monsters to make. It'd give that deck a major boost and make the player base happy by essentially getting rid of it by making it archetype exclusive

    • @LomasneyAaron
      @LomasneyAaron Před 5 lety +1

      I personally think it should be generic but only be able to special summon cyberse monsters and bounce monsters back equal to the number of Cyberse monsters co-linked with it

    • @mageside
      @mageside Před 5 lety +2

      you need to find a way to make Firewall Dragon actually archetype exclusive to Playmaker's version of rather generic Cyberse monsters so you keep Firewall Dragon away Salamangreats! It's possible by having him locked down "Cyberse" Cyberse monsters as his Link Materials.

    • @rameezpandor2551
      @rameezpandor2551 Před 4 lety +1

      As a magical musket player I can say that the new link "magical musketeer max" fixes a lot of the problems they had. They are very early game reliant and before they could barely get out a good board fast. Now with Max you can pull out like 4 monsters in one turn or get 4 spell/traps which is all you need for a good start. The problem is when you loose on the die roll and have to go first in which case max completely flops.

    Honestly, Cyberse is a pretty good deck when you can open a decently consistent 3-card combo that ends with Cyberse Witch + Honeybot + Cyberse Magician. Heck, I even built a $30 variant that does the same thing fairly good. Of course, it’s no meta deck and can’t handle disruption that well and the combo loses to non-targetting removal. Granted if Cyberse Magician is destroyed it searches any Cyberse monster and later can be banished with cynet ritual to generate 2 tokens

  • @dynamokota
    @dynamokota Před 6 lety

    Once we finally get Cynet Codec, Micro Coder, Code Radiator, and Code Talker in that structure deck, Cyberse will actually be a pretty decent Link Spam/Beatdown deck.
    I've been playing it recently, and it's a pretty good Link Spam deck once the Codec searches start popping off. Extra Linking with 5 "code Talker" monsters is super satisfying.
    I also enjoy OTKing with Clock Dragon and locking with Transcode & Honeybot + Magician.

  • @TheLeftyGamer
    @TheLeftyGamer Před 6 lety

    My biggest problem with Rokkets is when your opening hand is clogged with Rokket Monsters and you don't have Boot Sector Launch to get rid of them. You Just set a Rokket and pass, and with how fast a game goes, you'll get run over by your opponent before you get to summon your Borrel Link Monster, let alone knowing how it takes a considerable field setup for Rokkets to get going (Borrel Link Monster, 1 or 2 different Rokket monsters, Boot Sector Launch, possibly a face down trap like Solemn Strike.)

    I think another huge weakness of Magical Musketeers was that every card, iirc, was hard OPT. Like I can accept the monsters being that way; being able to fill a field with Starfire would be broken. But the spells and traps didn’t have to be that way considering they’d become strict minuses after they make one of the monsters get their effect.

    Why am I always attracted to decks that seem to underperform? A few of my favorite archetypes conceptually, visually or both have been Ghostricks, Frightfurs, Madolche, Aroma and Vendread. What is this curse?
    (PS, by "Underperform" I mean they aren't generally considered to be mid-tier or higher when used primarily by themselves. Fluffals are Rogue, but as far as I know that's as high as they got usage-wise.)

    Rokkets suck now because it plays like it's missing half of its cards. They're more of an engine at this point than an actual deck. Give it a few sets so they get better support.

    Amorphages had so much potential with amazing shut down effects. Sadly it falls short having no removal, no search, no real recovery, no counter, no boss, no support of any kind, the limited pendulum scales. Plus the tribute cost dwindled your small amount of resources. Add the fact that Master rule 4 limits how many monsters you can pendulum summon from the extra deck, cuts off their one comeback. Maybe in master rule 3 they could of been a tier deck 3 with OTK potential.

    I think I have actually discovered the way they intended the secret 6 to be played, in tandem with the other six samurais, because the secret six a lot of them share the effect if exactly one 6 Samurai would be destroyed by card effect and no others you can banish this card from your graveyard instead,and a lot of the other six samurais share the effect of if this card would be destroyed you can destroy another Six Samurai instead,so what happens or what you do is get some of your secret six into the great first maybe they're like your first line of defense or somethingthat way when your other six samurais hit the field if your opponent goes to destroy like by battle or whatever well you use that six samurais effect to destroy another one instead but since that is a card affect you and then banish a shadow 6 from your graveyard instead that way none of your samurais die and you still have a field of monsters

    You forgot to mention Chemicritter, Digital Bug, Dinomist, Igknight, man, especially Igknight, i used to love them so much because of their bad ass artwork. But now, even with the help of Electrumite, the Igknights still can't do anything on their own. The Igknight boss sure looks awesome, sure it can place an opponent's monster back to the deck non-targeting, but still, it is a minus 3. Rest in peace Igknight

    I'm surprised to see Lair wasn't on here. This was something a fair amount of people were looking forward to, the rest dreading, and it seemed like a good concept, but with it being too rare a concept, it had little good support, and only one good search card that came in the deck itself, being Ahrima. If Lair could, on activation, search for a Dark monster that had an effect with a tribute cost, like absolutely every other field spell that's come out for competitive themes these past few years can, then it would have been a good deck.

    I've built an elementsaber invoked deck and although I admit it will never compete with top tier decks like thunder dragons and the rest it is a really good fun deck and can make other decks struggle because between the elements effects and the invoked fusions effects it can be difficult to figure out what to do. I do agree with the tears for vendreads I love them but the support has been mediocre at best and they need a better way to get the monsters and spells especially as you can't use pre-prep on them.
