Trip is technically the first new character to have a unique super form. (As in being more than just a recolor)
Robotnik in the Fleetway Comics had a unique Super Form, he became a nigh omnipotent god.

Given that Naoto Oshima was on board, it's a massive missed opportunity to *not* have them finally design proper Super forms for Knuckles, Tails and Amy (as opposed to simple recolors)

That's from the super emeralds not the chaos emeralds. The extra power had to go somewhere

I love how Trip (a nervous and clumsy Fluttershy-ish character) gets to have an ACTUAL transformation that changes the shape of her body. Being a badass dragon that breaths fire is a bonus, but it’s weird that this is one of the rare (or maybe even one of the FIRST) times the chaos emeralds do this for a character’s super form (at least in the video game continuities, I don’t know if the comics did it or not yet, Lol).
Okay, I KNOW Izuka has rules that characters introduced in classic styled Sonic games usually cannot be brought into the modern 3D titles. BUT, if for whatever reason they decide to bring Trip in for one of those games, I could easily see her being voiced by Dawn M Bennett. And she could essentially get away with using each of her Kale voices from Dragon Ball Super. Use her quiet/timid voice when she’s normal, and then use her intense “Berserk” voice when going into her Dragon form. Again, I don’t know if they have plans to bring Trip into the 3-D continuity, but I would like to at least hear some dialogue out of her. XD
they really went to the trouble of giving a new character a super form (which looks good btw) and not give tails, knuckles and amy any actual change in appereance and animations, god when will they learn ?

A real pity that Fang Isn't gonna be playable or have a super form anytime soon...If were lucky.

@@Tyedyeninja04productionsKnuckles was always glowing in his Super Form, his sprites goes from Pink, White, back to his normal red and then start again, it was never straight up pink, it was just a limitation at the time

@@Tyedyeninja04productions I be honest, I think it was never meant to be Pink in the first place, it's supposed to be just a glow but due to the limitation of the time, that is how they showed it
In Heroes he doesn't have Pink either
@Tyedyeninja04productions he only ever had pink in the first place because his super form used his NPC palette, which was a ruby red to begin with. If you make that glow with the way the palettes worked back then, then it looks pink.
Ironically, Trip looks more like a Sungazer lizard in her superform (wings aside). I like it better than her normal state cuz of that, I'd wish they found some kind of middleground in using aspects of the features present in this form on her more "sonic-like" design honestly. I feel like it'd make her look more unique, but might just be a style thing.
That's because she is one.
Maybe she could look like that in the Modern Era (like a sign of her getting older with her horns growing).

Okay, so only Sonic gets a legitimate Super Form again. That's... Fine. The Chaos Emeralds; their function can change on a whim, that's why they're called Chaotic. Just because the other three can't doesn't mean they won't.
I think it’s because Sonic might have some unique connection with the emeralds energy.
There are definitely people who want to make cool designs, but someone from the Sonic Team staff won't let them, stupid 🤷

except when all other characters (and also sonic now) have special abilities TIED to pressing the jump button 2 times
But changing super is pretty much just 1 button. Plus you can turn it on and off whenever you want. Much better
i wish sega would remember that Super Tails gets a flicky army floating around him and that Super Knuckles is pink and not just glowing. Super Amy should also be golden cuz cmon now, thats how the fans have made her look for ages
Knuckles and Tails Super Forms have always been shines in the Classic Era (if you pay attention, Knuckles is only pink for one second before going white and then his normal color, same for Tails) and in Heroes their Super Forms are just a golden aura, this is consistent.
And it doesn't matter if the fans portrayed Amy with a golden Super Form, that's on them

@@Roto3 yes and no at the same time; that was SUPER Tails' ability in Sonic 3, however you could only become Super Tails with the Super Emeralds, but im pretty sure that was changed in Origins so you can become a regular Super Tails with the Chaos Emeralds and Hyper Tails (the original super form) with the Super Emeralds

How long does this game take to beat?
That depends, regular game is 12 zones, to get the true final boss you have to finish both it with all emeralds and trips story with all emeralds to get the option in the menu.

way better if Trip (in a dragon form) can able to walk, run and jump like the others in case you're Flying over in highest stages

@luketbourne Also there were dragons in the Archie comic series, most prominent was Dulcy the dragon who survived the rewriting of the comic series which was its own canon. Unfortunately this series got discontinued so dragons have been out of the picture for years.

@@dreamcastdazia4753 yes they are, they're meant to be glows, not an actual color change, hell you can see this in Heroes when they go Super and it's just a golden aura, the flicky army has been retconned to be Hyper Tails unique ability ever since Mania (Or Heroes to be more accurate)

It's kind of funny that Sonic gets his super form and the new character gets to be a literally dragon, but the other three just get a little shiny.
Honestly the only good thing about that is that Tails, Knuckles and Amy still get to keep the skin you chose. Sonic’s super form just outright ignores what skin you have on. Even Lego sonic doesn’t have a Lego super form. He just turns into normal super sonic 😬

I get that she's a dragon with wings, but it still kinda zings that Trip can fly freely, but Super Sonic still can't. I know about the cheat codes in Mania and Origins, but still.
if sonic could fly after getting all the emeralds, he could get some stuff meant for tails and knuckles. He's meant to just be better sonic gameplay wise, not THE BEST CHARACTER.
Fun fact: There hasn’t even remotely been any kind of dragon related Sonic characters since the dragon girl from both SatAM and Archie Sonic by the name of Dulcy. Now, with the appearance of Trip being able to transform herself into a Dragon as a Super Form, makes her the second dragon girl to be apart of the Sonic franchise aside from her being a sungazer lizard when she’s not in that Dragon Super Form of hers.
