    excellent video clearly explaining the mutations. I would point out that you will not always see a new color with a new mutation. At least with ASE, a dino has 6 color regions but not all dinos use all 6 regions, so sometimes a color mutates that is not actually used so you won't see the difference. Other times, the mutated color is so similar to the old color that it's nearly impossible to notice the difference.

    Great video - one easy trick to keep track of stats I have found is to simply name the male breeders after their key stats. I.E. you would name that initial male 330 H 132 M if you do not have the tek binocs (or other ways to check stat levels directly), or 0 H 0 M if you do.

    Hey, this was an awesome explanation! Liked and subscribed. I've watched tons of vids and read tons of comments, and I still wasn't 100% that I was getting it; this vid nailed it in for me. I do have 2 questions:
    1. Can you use max lvl 150 dinos for mutation breeding like this? It's taken me so long to figure out breeding that I'm already taming 150s lol. Can I have my clean male and females with the perfect stats and make my mutation lines from those? I've seen so many vids recommending you use low lvl dinos for the mutation breeding, but it's not clear why. Only exlanation I've found is that starting with low lvls means you can start breeding mutations earlier in the game and then just combine the mutation into your max dinos later. Seems like you can save a step if you're already endgame, no?
    2. You mentioned that once you combine 2 mutation lines, the matrilineal and patrilineal will both be maxed out. Is there no way to add a 3rd mutation line and get the dino lvl even higher (unofficial)?

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 6 měsíci +1

      The only reason you do low level is when you don't have the perfect tames YET. If you do, then start on those.
      Add the 2 lines and then breed with no mutation dino to stack all mutations to the one side again so you can add a 3rd, 4th, 5th mutation line

    • @NickB897

    Enjoying your videos. How hard is it to get more stacks of a certain stat like another second melee, third melee,etc….. is it the same odds as getting the first one?

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 7 měsíci +1

      No it's not the same. Each mutation is a random chance. But passing down the mutation stack is almost half the odds as getting the first mutation.

  • @Jsolid110
    @Jsolid110 Před 8 měsíci

    Thank you so much for taking the time for this, one question, does imprinting matter or can it be ignored during the process of stacking the mutations?

    • @muddin1989

      Doesnt matter. Ony if you intend to use the imprinted dino for fighting

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 8 měsíci +4

      If you imprint, you make it hard to track the base stat values, imprinting doesn't affect baby stat levels

    @Surxe Před 8 měsíci +2

    ConCon would you consider a video about why you avoid stacking mutations on both the Male and the Female until their summed mutations = 19, at which point you just do mutations on the Male side? In my current understanding it would halve the amount of babies you have to kill off (all the females) but only works until your number of mutations gets to 19

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 8 měsíci

      If you stay on the male side and breed with females with zero mutations then the babies mutations all move over to the male side above 20/20

    This was super helpful. Thank you! Question- What would be the downside of keeping both health and melee mutations that hit on that first male mutant line? I noticed you focused only on one stat and then started a full separate mutant male line for the other stat?

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 5 měsíci +1

      The downside is that both are not guranteed to breed down, sometimes you might get the new hp mutation on the baby but it doesn't get the melee so you have to kill it and keep breeding hoping that you keep both mutated stats PLUS getting a new mutation on one of them. Depends how lucky you are

      Yes, you would want to have separate line of stam males. When you have all the stats finished mutating you can combine the health & melee as in the video onto a female, then mate her with the final stam male until you get a baby (ideally a male & female pair) with all the three final stats.

  • @szarti
    @szarti Před 7 měsíci +1

    I always breed all stats together.
    I start with my breeding pair 00. Ik keep breeding until i got a stat mut on health/stam/melee. If its a Male I go back to the Female 00. If it's a Female I breed with the Male 00. When that 01 gets a new mutation, I go back to F02 with M00 and M02 with F00. That way i dont waist mutations. Once you have a male, you'll reset Female mutations back to 0 and put them on the P side.
    If you have a F02 and you get a M02, you breed both with F00 and M00 until 1 gets a mutation.

    Question: if you want both melee and HP mutations on the final result, why only stack melee on one line and a wholly different line for HP?
    If you have a male with Melee mutation, and then his son gets the melee mutation + a HP mutation, would'nt that be just as good as getting another melee mutation?

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 6 měsíci

      You then have to hope each baby gets the Melee AND the HP. So it takes longer because sometimes you will get the melee increase but the HP doesn't pass down so you have to throw it away.

      I'm not sure about exact values and probabilities

    • @NickB897
      @NickB897 Před 6 měsíci +1

      I heard that each parent provides a 3.5% chance as long as they are under 20/20 mutations on both sides. So you get a 7% combined chance until a parent reaches 20/20 mutations on one side. If the other parent still has less than 20/20, then you can still get the 3.5% chance from that one. Keeping the mutation on the patrilineal side should let you use the 7% chance for as long as possible. If anyone finds anything wrong with this info, please correct me so we may all benefit 😊 but this is what I have gathered from the material I've seen.

  • @joseespinoza7378

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 7 měsíci

      Remember the baby has like 50% chance to get the mother or the father's stat, and then you still have to hope the mutation lands on the right stat while hoping that it's getting the stat from the father.
      If you add more stats into this then you have to play those odds as well to keep both the right stats passing down

    • @dreadcthulhu6842
      @dreadcthulhu6842 Před 7 měsíci

      254 mutation levels is the max for each stat; each mutation raises the mutation level by +2, so you would need 127 mutations in a stat to reach that max. I know the ASE official servers also had a total level cap (450 for most dinos, 500 for some others), which meant you could only get one stat that high; not sure if the ASA offical servers have the same level cap.

    I'm terribly confused with my theri mutations. I'm showing 5 mutations from the paternal side and 2 mutations from the maternal side, however I only have 3 mutations in health ( +6 ) and 1 mutation in melee ( +2 ). Why on Earth does it say 7 mutations total? My perfect pair were 232s with identical stats and no mutations, and my most recent male, with the supposed 7 mutations, is lvl 240. The level makes sense if you consider the 4 mutations I have, but for some reason the ancestry says I have 7 mutations... I made sure I never bred 2 mutated theris together, so there shouldn't have been any strange stacking. What am I missing here?

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Sounds like you're using a female with mutations, when you breed with them it starts multiplying the counters you see out of 20. Thats why I say don't breed with females that have mutations otherwise you lock yourself out of progressing later on once both sides are over 20. If you did everything correctly then you should never have more than 1 mutation showing in the maternal side because each time you breed with a mom that has zero mutations, the mutations all move to the paternal side.

    2 questions.
    1. What’s the max base stat you can get ?
    Also I noticed if you look at wilds with binoculars and see the base stat then it goes up a few numbers after tamed is there a way to calculate that ? Say like he’s got 35 Health points then after tamed it’s 40 is there a way to tell how many points it will go up ?

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 27 dny +1

      1. A dino's level is distributed into all it's stats. Theoretically the max is the level of the dino. But almost impossible to get a dino with all its points into one stat.
      2. Taming efficiency. If you have 100% taming efficiency you get extra levels in the creature, they are randomly assigned into any stat. Its like a gacha game and you have to hope you get more levels in the right stats you want.

    @jodie9649 Před 8 měsíci

    One thing I learned from this is that the % stat added per mutation is always the same and is not based on a % of the original melee damage number.
    That number is about 11.56% and is always the same amount added to the % of melee damage for every mutation no matter what the starting melee damage was on any of the wolves. They could have 150 melee or 300 melee yet each mutation would only add 11.56% to that number so 161.56% and 311.56%
    The reason I think this is important is because if it was based on a % of the melee on the dino it would be different, lets say 5% per mutation, that would mean the 150% melee would now be 157.5% (5% of 150 = 7.5%) and the 300% melee would be 315% (5% of 300 = 15%)
    Just for fun this would be the difference for each scenario for the 300% melee dino with 40 mutations
    300% + (40 x 11.56 = 462.4%) = 762.4%
    300% + (40 x (5% of 300 = 15) = 600) = 900%
    This number could go even higher if the 5% is based on the melee number after each mutation, pointless info considering its not lol!
    Also this is purely based on the wolf only.
    I hope this makes sense?

      Now if you go back to the start of the vid when he first starts getting mutations its more or less the same figure when the low level wolves get a mutation.
      Now here is an interesting thing, what if the 11.56 would actually be higher if you got 2 higher melee wolves and not low level ones? Does this mean when you add those points from the low level mutated dinos they only get that low level % per point added (11.56 in this case) wereas this % point could be higher in higher level dinos? If so this would make the mutation point building not as affective using low level dinos to mutation point gather!
      In other words what if two 225 wolves produced a mutation that gave a point score of 50 to be added and not 11.56 like the low level ones! You want a separate line of males per stat. After you get your HP mutations done like you said (note that you can go past 20/20 by using mutated males and clean females; the females can keep triggering mutations until a stat hits 254 levels, which is 127 mutations), you would start again with a clean male and go for melee mutations; note you can use the same clean female breeders. Then you stack up mutation on melee the same way. Once you have as many melee mutations as you desired, you will have a male with that final melee mutation level count. You can then either use that gender swap mod to turn him into a female, and mate with your final health male until you get male & female babies with both final stats, or without mods mate your final melee male with a female until you have female with desired stat to mate with final health male.

    .. then i dnt understand if u get other 4 wild females to breed wit the male with melee mutation, or just breed wit females u get from us last couple... bc u also say females wit no mutations.... so my question is am I doin it wrong then?

      Make as many females with no mutations to breed with

    I’m confused. I bred rhinos looking for health, stamina, and melee damage mutations. I ended up with a 4 in each but my mutation counter is maxed out (35)on patrilineal and matrilineal sides. How do I have 35 mutations on each side but only a(4) in the second column? That’s way too low

      @ConCon  Před 6 měsíci +1

      That means you have been breeding with parents that both have mutations. The mutation counter goes up drastically even if the mutated stats aren't there if both parents have mutations listed in the counters.

      Thank you so much! That fixed everything but I had to start from fresh base parents. Luckily I wasn’t very far in.

    I'm someone comfortable in my understanding of this, having played and bred on ark since its initial release. However, on ASA early on I'm having issues. On official pve and breeding rexs. I've got my first mutation, and it's a female. I'm breeding her back to the clean original 0/0 male and even when I get a male pop with the stat, it's always on the female side. I cannot get it to swap to the male to continue on. Am I missing something or just unlucky. @ me for a response as I'll probs not see it.

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 6 měsíci +1

      That's fine, it moves to patrilineal after you breed the new male with a clean female.

      @ConCon ah the penny just dropped. Raise the mut female. Breed to 0/0 male, pop baby male with mut on wrong side still, raise, breed back to clean 0/0 female and get 'the same' male pop but mut will be stacked on male side. Got it!

    Hello are the begining moms all wild with 0 mutations or you breed 0 females from first mom and dad ? Thx

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 4 měsíci +1

      In ascended you can use any as long as they have 0 mutations

    Can you start this process with perfect tamed Dino’s and skip doing it on low lvls

    So how do you transfer a colour mutation from a female to a male with stat mutations?

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 6 měsíci

      You have to hope both move across

  • @Nijlandboy

    So, if I understand this correctly. Let's say you have a male with 254 mutations in damage, and a female with the 254 mutations in health, you can make a baby that has both the health and damage stat? You can simply not increase the mutations anymore with the baby that has both. RIght?

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 7 měsíci

      Yes, if you increase beyond 254, it breaks and removes all the bonus stats and acts like a 0 again

  • @crazyjoe101
    @crazyjoe101 Před 6 měsíci

    Wait so if the mutations can go upto 254 thats means you can get 127 mutations? If so why does the counter go up to 20/20 ?

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Před 6 měsíci

      You can go above the counter when you breed with females that have zero mutations, you can end up with 127/20 that way

  • @gabrielking8461

    So you’re saying to leave all the females at base health and don’t throw in mutated ones?
    Just asking because I’m breeding right now and when I breed a male wit ya mutation and a female with no mutation. Sometimes the baby will get the mutation and sometimes it won’t. In my case 218 is the base level and 220 is when I have the mutation.
    I’ll hatch 10 eggs and half of them will be 218 and half will be 220

    • @ConCon

      254 is max, at 255 the bonus is removed and acts like 0 again
