    Loving the new mutations system. Means I can start breeding even with crappy low levels, and just roll in better stats as I find them. Not wasting time holding out for max levels anymore. Thanks for the informative videos.

    It’s better to each stat mutation individually for exmple :
    u wanna do health and damage mutation ..
    u need to do a breeding group for for each one
    Like 4 females and 1 male for health
    And also another 4 females and 1 male for damage
    “Note that u can do more groups for like health which is 16 females ( 4 groups ) so u can increase the chance”
    anyway.. keep breeding for each until u have 20 mutation in health and 20 mutation in damage..
    After that u need to breed these mutations together so that u have 40 mutation in one dino which 20 health and 20 damage
    And the same way if u wanna do like 20 stamina with them
    Thank you.

    hey man i want to give some advise for the mutation stacking: u really want to avoid breeding mutation with mutation u want the females to be non mutated your equus had 9 mutations in total but already reached 20 / 18 in the parent counter. u mention how to clear the line after both hit 20 but u are wasting very much time and destroying the line like that + u should not breed multiple stats in 1 dino get 3 diffrent males 1 stam 1 hp 1 melee (if u play official or lower rates)

    • @kye4216
      @kye4216 Před 7 měsíci

      So what do you do after you get the mutated male?
      Even if you get another mutation in the stat you want isn’t there a 50% chance it will be wasted because it got the 0 mutation from the mother first?

  • @Absolute_Zero61
    @Absolute_Zero61 Před 5 měsíci +1

    I have no idea what is happening. From what I’ve gathered, you have to get Dino’s with stats you want. Let’s say you get a male Rex with 14,000 Health and a female Rex with 400 melee. You breed those 2 together until you have a male and female pair with 14,000 health and 400 melee. Then you breed that pair until you get a baby with a mutation( let’s say health mutation male).You take that health mutation male and breed it with the mom until you get another male with 2 mutations into health. Once you get that 2 health mutation male it’s basically rinse and repeat. Is that correct or am I completely misunderstanding something?

  • @keithm997
    @keithm997 Před 9 měsíci +8

    Hey Teach, this might be something you cover soon as an alternate method or maybe it is now obsolete, but would it be better for mutation chances for bigger breeding projects to only keep the male babies with the desired mutations? This would keep the maternal line always at 0/20 mutations so you always have the 3.5% chance at a mutation. It adds another layer or two of statistics though.

    • @austinkopas8557
      @austinkopas8557 Před 9 měsíci

      All females with less than 20 mutations produce the same change of mutation. 0/0 females just cleans up the project

    • @ryanrodgers3099
      @ryanrodgers3099 Před 9 měsíci +1

      It's generally accepted that keeping only male babies and using them with clean females is the easiest and most efficient way to do it. For the most part, you make up for the slightly lower chance at desirable mutations from each breed by consistently having the 4:1 female:male ratio. If using mutated females *is* faster, it's not by much and requires much better organization.

    • @Haveltherock89
      @Haveltherock89 Před 9 měsíci

      We always kept the melee stats on the male. Then went out and tamed a bunch of low level females. Then turn and burn ankys w/o melee mutations

    • @Haveltherock89
      @Haveltherock89 Před 9 měsíci +3

      Then when we got a new melee stat on a male he'd replace the stud. If on a female then ud breed only the fem with the stud until a male with the new melee pops out

    • @SomeMistakesHaveBeenMade
      @SomeMistakesHaveBeenMade Před 9 měsíci +2

      This is the way to do it. Keep the females (preferably identical) at 0/0 mutations and replace your male breeder as it gets each stat mutation you are looking for. The other difference from what Teach says is that the breeder will want as many females as their base can hold. "Cool" or "pretty" colors don't matter, I'd rather have high health/melee mutations instead of having a dino with a pink color that came with food mutations

    Just do it properly and you bever need to clean your line. Only do on stat at a time. Do not crossbreed stats until you are done mutating the stats separately. This method takes longer than traditional and is a lot messier.

    The failures definitely have value. Babies eat a lot. The failures you just never feed and when they starve you get plenty of food for the successes. That food is valuable. I have a bunch of failures all renamed to Meat just for eggs to hatch and let starve so I can get meat off of them.

    Hey Teach. Nice video. If I saw this correctly it looks like they fixed the mutation counter. In ASA, when you bred two mutated creatures together, it would add the mutation counts together, even if they were both for the exact same mutation. When you bred 2 mutated horses together it looked like it only counted 1 mutation point per unique mutation. Can you please verify this?

    thanks, but still a question. If you get what you want, the Dinos are still low level and you cant reach max level with them. If you tame a high level Dino and breed it with one of your mutation Dinos, doesnt it still mean, you get wrong stats in the end? Im sure, im missing something here.

    • @jeffhough7460
      @jeffhough7460 Před 9 měsíci

      He just used ovl 1s to keep it simple, ideally you want to be starting with mx level tames with good stats before you start mutating

    • @evil-robot
      @evil-robot Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@jeffhough7460 No this is now wrong. It seems that the mutation stat is now stored separately from the base stat. This means you could get a mutation on a crappy dino and breed it with a good tame and transfer the mutation onto the new (higher) stat later on. So no more waiting for the perfect breeding pair before you can start breeding for mutations.

    Doesn't this mean that the absolute maximum bonus for mutations is 40 mutations therefore being equivilent to +80 levels?

    • @ryanrodgers3099
      @ryanrodgers3099 Před 9 měsíci

      No, what you do is you combine the stats onto a male, the male can inherit all of the mutations and pass on all of his mutations, but any of his children won't get new mutations directly from him. They'll only get additional mutations from the females. This way you can stack to whatever the hard level cap is.

    • @KryyssTV
      @KryyssTV Před 9 měsíci

      @@ryanrodgers3099 So basically you'd max out a male which has 20/20 & 20/20 on their parents and breed them with a 0/20 & 0/20 female so the baby hopefully gets 100% of the male's mutated stats plus a further mutation from the mum?

    • @ryanrodgers3099
      @ryanrodgers3099 Před 9 měsíci

      @KryyssTV not quite. The male can have any number of mutations on it, then the females should have 0. This allows you to pass on all of the makes mutations and possibly get additional mutations from the mother's side.

    • @KryyssTV
      @KryyssTV Před 9 měsíci

      @@ryanrodgers3099 Right I see, but ideally you'd want to max out mutations on the male to save time I would have thought since using a 20&20 male as a starting point with perfect stats would be more likely to produce the specific results you want in the offspring even though the mutation rate is lower.

    • @ryanrodgers3099
      @ryanrodgers3099 Před 9 měsíci

      @@KryyssTV While you *can* do a 20/20 on the male, it's generally more efficient for the male to be X/1. That one comes from mutating on the female side. You can keep stacking mutations on the male children as long as you're breeding with females that have mutations. So very down the line your breeding male is something like 50/1 rather than just 20/20.

  • @terryfrome1641
    @terryfrome1641 Před 8 měsíci

    2 stats at one time is not good. You only want to do one stat at a time. The point of stacking is to keep one side clean while the other side stacks.

    • @kye4216
      @kye4216 Před 7 měsíci

      What do you do after you get a mutation tho?
      If you just breed to a clean female again it completely cuts your chances in half because half the babies will get no mutations from the mother, so even if you get the mutation you want on the baby it’s 50% chance useless?

    • @terryfrome1641
      @terryfrome1641 Před 7 měsíci

      @kye4216 keep breeding and stacking. Yes it takes awhile but that's the best way to do it. I do 1 set for health and one set for melee. Once I'm happy with the stacks I combine them together to make a male and female breeder. Still keep the originals tho.
