In today's connected world, personal information sometimes falls into the wrong hands. And that can lead to identity theft. It might start with an unfamiliar charge on your credit card. A business might not accept your check. Or a debt collector might call you about a bill that isn't yours. You're not alone. Identity theft can happen to anyone. Stay calm. Visit identitytheft.gov to report it and get a personal recovery plan.
Identitytheft.gov helps you create an identity theft report. This report proves to businesses that someone stole your identity and it makes it easier to fix problems caused by identity theft. To create an identity theft report, you can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Identitytheft.gov guides you through each step of the recovery process.
You can generate the letters and forms you need. Track your progress. And keep detailed records of people you've talked to. No matter what your identity theft situation is, identitytheft.gov can help because recovering from identity theft is easier with a plan.

I have a few things to do before the report like set up a appointment with a clinic I was doing that back in DC at the same time as the other reports wile looking into the identity theft issues cant stop living life because of identity theft issues

I have been having problems with charges on my bank account money missing out of my bank account. I finally found out that it's my daughter. And one or two of her friends.We had a disagreement and I moved out. Then it came to light. In February my bank statement came in and I was over drawn
So I went thru the statement and discovered that there was two withdrawals from a bank I never went to or even new it was there.The bank let me see the video of the withdraw and it wasn't daughter. That was in February I filed Charges they recently told me that the $500. That she took out was a civil matter and to hire an attorney. In my book I call it stealing mother or not common sense is she deliberately stole from me and the Hannibal police is not going to do anything. Why because she's snitching on her people as she called them in the past.
How do you report someone you know that is doing it?

When I find some work I can just pay to file and spend more time looking into it.
I know whose using my identity for years and i went to everyone. The police won't do anything about, the sheriff won't do anything about it. Consumer affairs won't do anything about it, the legal aid won't do anything about it. If nobody can help me, then who the h*** can help? I also uploaded my stuff on the identity theft website and nothing happened. It's been four years now🤦♀️

I need help with a family member who has stepped in after grandmother passed on as well as a uncle and took both thier idenities to sell cars get loads and now in court to make her accountable for this actualisation.Who does this to thier loved ones? Its inacceptable.Which forms or where to I go to find the help I need to stop this from happening and to seek advice to have her pay for the crime?

I understand how you féel my daughter has been doing things like this to me for months. When moving I discovered a folder that she had my information and my brother's also some young girl from another town. I've been thru 6 different phones because mine disappear right out of my house. I know she did it but couldn't prove it.

I am a victim of identity theft in the past, and just had my Facebook and messenger account stolen by a man whom calls himself Num Sai on Facebook and dr Henry Arthur on email and hangouts, he poses as a doctor I. a UN peacekeeping contract in Syria.

The FTC focuses on credit accounts, someone using your medical could cause misdiagnosis or treatment - truly the crime that can kill you.
What if it's identity fraud? For example..
My old actual pay checks from my old employer in 2014 were found and re cashed. (these pay checks were mobile deposited through a banking app by me the day I received them). Because the theft was able to cash out these checks, this somehow affected my personal banking account. Totaling up yo thousands of dollars. The banks won't help me file fraud. They demand me pay it all back even though it wasn't me who double dipped. Can I still file a FTC report since this doesn't have much to Do with identity theft but more like an identity fraud...? Please help.

This has Ben going on now since end of 2017 and still is everything in my life has Ben destroyed and I still can't find help or resources I was recovering from PTSD and it had made everything so much more difficult its like a catch 22everyday is a obsical I can't find no help no attorney knowbody no financial help no nothing since 2018 even FDIC said they'd help they have not yet helps what so ever
