@@russjones6497 I am a Veteran, and hope to build an airgun range for Vets and their families to enjoy. What I learn from you and others will help me to do that. Thank you.
I tell ya what.... one thing for certain two things for sure, when Dr Russ puts out a new video i will be watching. Also i can guarantee i will enjoy it and probably learn something during the process. Thanks again my friend your the best buddy. Take care. Psycho
Psycho ... thanks for the great compliment.... We leave in 2 days for the Smoky Mountains where we plan to do a video or two in those beautiful mountains... we hope there is some value shared there that you can use.... DR. Russ
@russjones6497 i am now looking forward to it buddy. Sounds like fun. I live in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains here in Southern Missouri and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. If i had no choice, the Smokey's would be a good choice.
enjoy those mountains psycho ... some enjoy the beach ... but I've always enjoyed the mountains... both offer a nice breeze and air .... but beaches offer fishing and mountains offer both fishing and hunting. Dr. Russ
Baz in the UK ... thanks for the well wishes ... we had originally planned only 6 videos for our 6 children and 15 grand children... but comments like yours just kept coming in ... Thanks again. Dr. Russ
I think, in Minesota, airguns that come with integral suppressors are legal. Any add on suppressor has to be treated the same as a powder burning fire arm.
Chris ... thanks for the compliment ... we leave in 2 days for a trip to the Smoky Mtns for a vacation ... but as always ... we plan to shoot a video or two in those beautiful mountains... Dr. Russ
Always informative. Appreciate. Seems to me, you may lean little more toward the Strike Point. Question Doc, how loud is the pumping action with the Strike Point? The slapping sound produced by my 1322 actually irks me. 🤷🏼♂️ Funny, but it’s just at the right pitch to truly be irritating to “ me”. Thanks again. Be safe young man. 😁 VF-14 Top Hatters, supporting F-14A Tomcat on CV 67 USS KENNEDY. I dont mean to lean towards any brand or product .. but it comes out sometimes. Yes, I believe the Strike Point is a little better ... certainly newer ... and velocity is a little better ... but mods are far less than the Crosman... Accuracy is about the same...Both have rifled steel barrels ... the Strike Point has a horrible hood over front site that was easy to dremel off and clean up ... but that fore arm pump handle is much much better. These are the features that I was attracted to. Dr. Russ
I bought a new 1322 off ebay for about $50 a flathead piston/valve for $35 , a 14 inch barrel for $35 and angled out the air valve output hole a bit and drilled out the transfer port and barrel to 5/16" and finally put a piece of 1 inch insulated 12 gauge wire inside the air valve { to achieve hiogher fps with less pumps, because I do not want to pump more than 15x} . With 15.86 Gr pellets, im getting about 10 FPE at 10 pumps and 12 FPE at 15 pumps. I assume this is about the best I can expect, unless im willing to go to a longer barrel or pump more times ?
You’re airgun videos are the best I’ve ever watched on CZcams! Thanks “Doc” for your amazingly positive content!
