Clue: this is essentially the same case that was prosecuted FEDERALLY against Cohen. The difference is that Barr isn't able to intervene in the state trial to protect Trump as he did with the FEDERAL trial.

And Trump never repaid Pecker for the $150,000 Pecker paid to McDougal. Trump is a tightwad who has a decades-long career of NOT paying his bills -- not "paying up," as he loves to lecture others for not doing.
But some neat facts came out from ostensibly-hostile witness Rhona Graff, Trump's Executive Assistant: she kept the paper trail, and in Trump's Rolodex were the contact information for Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal -- contrary to his constant LYING that he didn't know them and had never met them.
