- Sewing a pair of pillowcase from fat quarter bundles for children, easy quick pattern. Using fat quarter material fabric means there are just so many matching bundles and designs to chose from, happy sewing
Thank you for a lovely tutorial. Your fabric choices are beautiful. ❤
A great pattern and video! Thanks! I bought some fat quarters on sale, made in China at Joann Fabrics. They weren't fully 18" x 22" or square, which made this challenging. But I forged ahead. 🙄 Due to this, the size is on the small side. But its still lovely and my niece's young daughter will love it.
Love that you use inches in measurements, I’m old school. 😉 They look lovely, I can’t wait to make these with the material I already have. Cheers, from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you for this video!
Wish I had seen it a few weeks ago. This method solves some problems I encountered with directional prints that others didn't completely address. And you add the catch flap too!
Thank you
Just the tutorial I was looking for. Love your fabric choices so cute. Thank you 🐨🇦🇺❤️
Ok where have you been iv just come across your videos omg I'm hooked thank you for the most informative videos iv seen x
Wonderful tutorial! Very clear and exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
brilliant demo will defo watch again and again
Great video I love these pillowcases, i made some yo matcg a quilt i made. I must admit, I always cut the selvedge off as they are woven differently to the rest of the material and can therefore act differently. But as you said, they are hidden within the french seam so isn't so drastic. Thanks go a good video look forward to others. Happy sewing, Linda
Love the video and fabric ideas
These are so pretty and clever. Thank you. What size is your child's pillow? I thought this case would be smaller. I sewed one for my smaller pillow, but it was too long. I was able to make another one with different measurements and it came out perfect. My pillow measures about 17 x 22.
Love!!!
Love the video. I was looking for something to do with fat quarters.
My pillowcase ended up very short in height with the French seams.
My question is, what do you do with the leftover material.
❤❤❤
Is the Unicorn fabric "directional", so you had to be sure that both pieces were laid in the same direction?
I think I screwed up my flange. I cut it 2 x 18 inches, then ironed it in half. So my flange is only 1 inch wide before sewing it on. Was the cut supposed to be 4 x 18 to give a 2 inch flange?
What is that ending size is that like a 18 x 18
I'm curious, why is each side is made different?
Hi there because of the flap on one side to hide the pillow in 🌼
@@DaisynicsRecipesDIYCrafts Is it because the body fabric of this kids pillow is from two fat quarters and could not be one long continuous piece, which includes the flap, like the adult pillow?
Does not turn out correct. Fat quarter are not square and are not cut correctly. 😤
