This was one of the most entertaining matches I've seen in a while.
Definitely better than where I came from, Raynor vs Clem = Marines only vs Zerglings only. Zero strategy, but a lot of army splitting against these hard hitting AoE explosions.

This was straight up better strategy from the Protoss player... Also 20:16 was like so badass...
Yess! Dark templars have been my favorite unit since sc1, so dope to see someone finally utilizing them to their full potential. With shadow stride, quite literally a game changer. I think MaxPax is gonna change the game for Protoss.

I've been known to throw a few in to punish lack of detectors in my opponents' ground armies.

They can be. Just remember to let other units tank by letting their units lock onto the zealot/immortals/etc.
So zealot/DT would be viable.

I live in the greatest backseat era ever. From backseat 200m sprints to water volleyball, and now backseating a professional match of PvT, nice.
Oh and Lowko's uploads quality has always been top-tiered with just 1080p from my tinyyy phone screen at lunch. If I stream 4k, my Pixel 4 can heat up my lunch too.

Dark Templars are kinda like invisible Halo soldiers with Energy Swords..
I don't often like Protoss matches due to what all the roads lead to, that ineffable death ball but matches like this, that make proper, strategic use of the other units that the race has, are a joy to watch. It's legitimate to say that in this match, the DTs were MVP. Yes, MaxPax played it really well, waiting until the right moment to strike and not making any major mistakes but then again, so did HeroMarine. This was a very enjoyable back and forth between these two top players.
The new Quality Options work super well and really are just an extra binus to your anazing casts! Really not needed but always appreciated:)
No they dont. Try using messenger while watching CZcams. Fpr some reason after texting for a while the resolution drops to 480p and the bad thing is, afte rthis you cant like CANT switch it back to HD

@@till9652 thats nothing to do with lowko's settings. The youtube mobile app changed how they handle video quality.. look up mkbhd and his video on it. It has NOTHING to do with lowko. Its a really dumb change youtube made. Same thing on pc. When im watching yt on my second monitor it drops video quality during game play. You can switch it back. Before you selected the actual video resolution. Now you select best quality and other similar wording on phones.
@@TritonTv69420 well on mobile at least you can still click advanced and choose resolution directly.
I turned on super extra graphics just for you. THey work perfectly and are really god damn amazing.
But really, graphics are just eye-candy. Its the commentary we're all here for!
The quality is much improved. The colors are more accurate when laced against the higher bitrate of the video. It now feels like a proper 1080p video, as opposed to an upscaled 720p video. Awesome.
22:00 you can practically see Lowko deciding "This is the thumbnail. Let's get a good look without health bars."

Dark Templar rolling into main like a top secret commando hit squad, badass.
That last move to blink DTs on the production dismantled HeroMarine really quickly. Sure, he was behind a bit already, but with all production disabled and all of his units occupied I'm not surprised he tapped out that quickly.
I think the DT's also straight up killed all the marines he sent back, and then the protoss ball at the front cleaned up half or more of his tanks without the marines in front
He also killed the only source of detection in the main and he had to lift one of his CCs because of the core protoss army.
He may not of had any scans left and in which case those DTs are going to tear through his units in the main and all the non flying buildings. Which he simply can't afford just losing the tech would be a major set back, losing the production or production time (one barracks and 1 tech lab is all he actually lost so far) would also be a big set back.
Dealing with all of that with an army at the front door, aganist a pro, yeah it's over.
Quality wise I don't always watch at 2160p, but in this video compared to watching a random one from a few weeks back I do notice some small changes. Mostly it's the buildings and map, it looks like there's more of the little details popping out, the glowing pulses along the lines on the gateways look cleaner, the tech lab researching is more noticeable, and that kind of change. I don't know if that's because I'm looking for it or because of an actual upgrade but either way it looks wonderful.

Video Quality looks fantastic! I was able to make out details on Missile Turrets and Dark Templar that I had not seen in the past.
Going through the intro, I suddenly realized just how good Maxpax is becoming. Last time I checked his ranking on aligulac, he was top 50. Now he's in the top ten? Absolutely incredible play by him and can't wait to see more games like this.

This game was awesome, and if I were good enough it’s exactly how I like playing Protoss. DTs are my favorite unit.
Unfortunately most lower players just a-move DTs and hope nobody scans... seeing them used strategically by MaxPax was a real pleasure.
Video quality does look better than before. Not as huge a difference as it could be since there is still YT compression, but still noticeable for sure. GJ man.
New setup looks and sounds great. Audio is on point as always. I actually thought the video looked a bit sharper when I loaded it up. Maybe you picked TXAA instead of TSAA or something this time and the video compressor is having an easier time with it.

It's always nice to see people use the harrass units as core units. Now I'm waiting for someone to play with hit squad banshees with the speed upgrade in 2021.
Maru had a great stream the other week in which he did that against a Zerg on the Korean ladder. Speed Banshees, Thors, BCs, Cyclones, Hellions... God damn, it was beautiful.

To watch a sneaky Terran, who is lazy to build a Raven and uses frequent drop rushes, being smashed by a Protoss player, is an absolute bliss... for a Protoss player.

A German SC2 fan here. Might be my own bubble, but me an all the other German SC2 fans, I talk to, seam to be more fan of different styles, than of nationalities.

Nice game by MaxPax although HeroMarine is on fire recently. He took out Clem in Finals of ESL open cup 82 yesterday in a really cool game. I also really like the new setup Lowko, now we can enjoy the videos in 4k on a big screen. Big Thanks to you for the investment for us 😉👍

That game would be my dream game as protoss player, containing the opposing terran while making huge damage with dark templars squad, so cool to use them that way to defend and attack too, just amazing 🤗 About the performance and the graphics sorry but I didn't notice any difference 🙁, the quality was already fine but I guess it'll be more noticeable with other games. I still love your casts about SC2, it's always good content 😉
