I have really skinny arms so I want to try to get some muscle over the summer, I downloaded the Nike training app and it’s not the best options wise, but it’s fairly easy to use and it is good for a challenge, so it could be cool for you to check out.
Ayo im trans too and my main tip for you is to be CONSISTENT. Last year i couldnt even do one push up, i did 30 yesterday. Stick w it and you will get results. Good luck dude
I used to have a workout routine and I looked good, I had big shoulders and bigger arms but then I just stopped and I'm noodle again too . I'm gonna join you on your journey :)
Super proud of you! Every day you workout is a step closer towards the build you want. I've heard that when it comes to arm workouts, it's better to do more reps than to have more weight if you want to bulk them up. I would also advise high protein snacks. I personally eat peanut butter. A lot!
i always heard it as the exact opposite. i hear that high reps low weights are good for muscle definition and that low reps high weights are good for bulking up. i decided to ask mr. google what he thinks, and he said that high reps with low weights are good for building endurance, whilst low reps with high weights are good for gaining muscle mass and strength. obviously you'll still gain muscle by doing high reps with low weights but much more gradually, thus that's why it tones more so than bulks.
so uh i just recently made it to the average male BMI (mine is currently 18.4) but i gained in places that made me look even MORE feminine, like in my butt, chest, inner thighs etc. so i'm trying to shape myself more but i'm kinda vERy weak so uh wish me luck!! 😅
You should post more videos!! You are one of the most useful CZcamsrs to get advice from because we have similar properties like weight height and body shape! Plus you give good advice about easy replacement options for things like binders!
my tips are: overhead presses do so much for your shoulders, stay consistant but have break days, if youre watching yt or netflix you can lift semi-light weights or do sit-ups or something, DONT do squats because they make you thic and make you have anime thighs, dont rush through anything to "get it over with", if you feel the burn its good.
be sure to not stretch your arms fully out because it can damage the movey bone things that i forgot the english names of. yea just be sure to have your arms bent slightly all the time
Also pushups target your back shoulders, arms and chest and are really good, if you struggle with them maybe start of with low reps and every week raise the number. If you still struggle you can use different variations of a push up that might be easier :)
I can do push-ups but then I can’t do anything else after because like all of the muscles I exercise are dead 😂 I think I’m gonna do them separately just as a morning thing
@@transmensociety I've been trying to do them as well but I couldn't do them properly so I've been doing elevated ones with proper form and its slightly worrying how much I struggle so yeah I'm pretty weak.
You don't yet have that masculine build, and neither do I. But you also don't have a feminine build, you just look like a boy who has not quite got to puberty yet. My first goal of to get skinny, then I'm going to try to get bigger shoulders, to make my waist look smaller. But you could and are passing perfectly, you sort of have the build, you have a voice that if deeper than a girls, and you have helped me loads, which doesn't have anything to do with anything. But thanks. 🌈
Definitely not muscular yet but that’s why I’m starting the series :) thought it would be more relatable because I’m never gonna be a bodybuilder or anything haha also ty for supporting the channel!
My tip for you is slow down like you said in the video cause form is key. You will gain more muscle if you go slow on each exercise. Eating protein can also help.
2:31 wow I have the exact same height as you and with the Corona and stay-home thing i gained 7kilos and i am now around 60kg which i was unconfortable with because i was 53kilo since 4 years.... Thanks to you I feel like it's okay to stay with my 60kilo even if everything is just fat xD
I'm genderfluid but leaning more towards wanting to be masculine but I want a more lean and slim masculine body, I'm trying to slim down my arms atm because they make me dysphoric, weights help but go for light ones if you're like me, heavy ones will make you build muscle but of course if that's what you're going for then that's good. Can anyone please recommend me any workouts for a slim masculine body? :). Also great video, i think you look super masculine already and I hope you get the results you want :)) xx
The only thing that I am laughing at is how I literally have nothing to work with no equipment and absolutely no idea how to start so yeah your good. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@transmensociety ahh i also get dysphoria from regular sports bras but you can try getting compression sports bras from nike etc. and they work a lot like a chest binder but for sports! they're a bit pricey but it's def worth it bc they last really long (i don't have one yet but my friend does) 😄
ik this videos kinda old but smth that works for me hiding chest while i work out is an old one piece swim suit. feels a lil weird wearing it but with some baggy clothes over it u look flattt af
I’m newly transmasc but everyone from my school already know I’m biologically female (practically everyone knows me since I poorly decided to have bright pink curly hair) and I’m scared to be masculine presenting or get a shorter haircut (I’m in the UK so bullying in high schools are absolutely horrible) do you have any tips so I won’t get bullied?
Dress in half tucked flannels.. like right half tucked in, left tucked out, or the other way around... be sure you have a chest binder on under.. if you don't have a binder than put one sports brah on the put another on backwards.. and maybe a tank top.. And if you have a decent masculine like wrist/lower arm shape that you are okay with showing roll up one of your sleeves just above your elbow. As for pants, if you haven't gotten any surgery's yet.. I suggest avoiding normal dress pants that guys wear since you would still have, well- a female ass lol wear things like black jeans.. make sure that they have a straight appearance to them.. skinny at thigh area, and let them just be a tad baggy at bottom/lower leg. As for shoes.. you most likely have that down.. but a nice pair of tennis shoes or some guy dress shoes work fine... You can always agust those recommendations to what makes you feel comfortable and confident! Hope I was useful!! (Sorry for my bad spelling)
Still skinny asf but a year and a half on T so I’ve gained weight and muscle.. had a bunch of mental health problems so unfortunately didn’t do very well on this lol
So my favorite tip that I can give you is my tip on chest flattening at the gym. If you want a really good hold and a super flat chest use waterproof trans tape. First, protect the nibbies by placing a piece of tissue over them then take the trans tape and start at the bottom working your way up from the innermost part of your chest. slowly pull to your sides and pat tape down. Voila! easier to breathe, flatter, and has no anoying straps like a binder to show out the top of your shirt. Good luck ~~
large cosmetic doses of testosterone will put you in the same risk category for cardiovascular disease and adverse cardiac events (heart attack/cardiac arrest/stroke/blood clot) as male body builders. cardiomyopathy is not fun. congestive heart failure is not fun. also, the pancreas is absolutely a sexed organ which means testosterone WILL damage your pancreas, which can lead to pancreatic insufficiency, diabetes, chronic pancreatitis, and pancreatic cancer. but im sure you were totally aware of all this 🙄
Yeah, we ARE aware of this, and many other side effects that it can have, it is not something that we can say "ok, I'll start taking hormones" and do it from one day to the next, not to mention how enormously expensive it is. Society in one way or another will try to stop us from transitioning, whether it's transitioning with hormones, surgeries, or just using different pronouns, we know that many people are not going to like it. But don't worry, it's a very long road that we've had to go through to accept that transitioning is something we really want to achieve, and we know the risks. That's why we've built a community, to help whoever is starting this journey and not let them take risks that they don't really want to take.
Be sure to comment any workout tips u have! I sure need them 😂
You're doing good bro. Pushups, crunches, and squats have been my go-to, but I just got some weights so thanks for the new excercises.
Pushups KILL ME shhdbd they’re a good exercise but I can never do anything else after them aha
@@transmensociety put your knees down and do a 3/4 push up until you get strong enough
I don’t think that does anything for me tho bc I can do normal pushups fine I just get tired idk

Don't rush through your reps. Do them slow and feel the burn with good form
Yeah man I talk about that at the end :) slow rep cadence

your room doesn’t have to be masculine to make you a boy my love
I was thinking the same!!
also a big part of gaining muscle especially is to eat much more than you usually would so your muscles have enough energy to grow.
If you want hypertrophy (big bulging muscles) rest for around 60-120 seconds.
If you want more useable strength, rest for 2-5 min
Omg the CHELLAMAN joke! So I found this channel/ IG acc
