Disregard key words: trans, transgender, ftm, trans boy, trans man, trans guy, passing, pass, look Male, pre-t, pre t, pre testosterone, pre hormones, pre top surgery, look more Male, look older, look more attractive, be more confident, pass to strangers, pass at school
I remember once at a gas station my mom sent my inside to get ice.I was wearing a flannel, decent sized jeans, high tops, and a bandanna. When I checked out the ice she said, âHave a great day, young man!â I wasnât out yet (and still am not) I had the long hair sadly. I was so happy she called me a young man. Then my mom went inside for something, and the lady at the register said âThatâs a nice son you have! He was so kind :)â then I heard my mom yell âS H E â S A G I R L ! â
She kinda got a little angry so I admit, I kindagotalittleangry
Omg that made me so frustratedđđ

6. I size-up my clothes but that is because I really love over-sized clothes. I want to pass as male but I also donât really want to copy the guys around me or blend in like that
Hey bro i know this is a late answer but Uniqlo has some really good oversized tees if youâre still into them. Dickies also has good pants for that vibe as well (874 model in particular). Iâd also check out Tim Dessaint on youtube for tips on styling
Part of me says: SOFT EMO/GOTH BOY
But part of me says: I kinda still wanna be read as androgynous/masc tho
If you want to pass, you gotta blend in
my adoptive mother has been refusing to call me by he/him or Ozzy, so, she now calls me "Child" "object" "gay thing" ect, so im going to show her and all her friends, that i go by he/him, i will be packing, and making a chest binder( because im extreamly poor so i cant afford one :/ ) and i know im going to get my ass beat because of it, but, im just 13, trying to be myself, and trying to have a great relationship with my boyfriend (that mother dosent know about, and hes already agreed that in three years ill be living with him so i can get top and bottom surgery! hes very supportive and hes now glad hes dating a male, he thinks its fun) oh and, sorry for bad spelling ive been crying for 7 hours, and its now 1:30 AM, my whole family is very homophobic and i hate it, i cant wait till i move in with my boyfriend..... ill be able to be free from the physical and emotional abuse, anyways, theres my life story i guess?? lol - Ozzy

This video is really well made. It seems really useful, and I shared it with my friend thatâs going through this kind of gender dysphoria so I hope they can use it : )
GhostOfYummyTippEx thank you! Iâm going to be making videos on your to deal with euphoria specifically in the future as well so hopefully that will be helpful :)
That's so nice that you do that for you friend :)
Iâm so happy that Iâm naturally tall and donât have a Farley high voice, so that tones my dysphoria a bit haha

I started voice training and working out and I'm about to get a shorter hair cut. Also a tip from me : when you don't or can't have a binder, then you can use sport bras. I don't know if they are helpful for everyone, but for the ones with a smaller chest, I definitly recommend. Also confidence is the hardest point on this list because in public I'm always feeling like I'm in disguise and I'm about to get caught and then bullied by everyone đ
Honestly agree with the sports bra bit, itâs what Iâve been doing this whole time since my mother refuses to get me a binder since she insists I donât need one (Iâm a very small sized person)
But the sports bra certainly works, defo recommends others try if it possibly works for them too

I made a packer earlier out of a sock and the euphoria I'm feeling while wearing it rn is indescribable
Thanks so much! I am trying to identify outside as non binary. I really want to dress as a male now, but I have dysphoria around my hips, hair, thighs and chest. I bought a gc2b binder a few days ago
Which is solving the problem :) this helped a ton! Thanks! (From an awkward 12 year old in Canada)
Avery Belle Hey, I'm also an awkward trans kid in Canada! I'm glad the binder is helping you, that's awesome!
How are you, now 16 year old in Canada? Hope you're great!
im also 16 now... when we were 12 i was still homophobic and transphobic af đ
took a while for me to realize im bisexual (like one and a half years ago)
then more time to un-homophobe myself (like 6 months ago)
then even more time to realize im not female (like a few weeks ago)
now idk what i am, but i mean, baby steps
i havent changed how i look at all so far.. and idk what i want tbh
This is very helpful. Iâm wearing more sweatpants and basketball ball shorts. During gym and XC practice I get gendered as male a lot and I love it. It started to make me feel more confident in myself and a little less dysphoric. Thank you for this video it really helps
A way to help not walk with a sway is slightly away ur shoulders instead and don't spread your legs too far you eventually just do it naturally. And certain stands are okay at times, but when guys have their hands on their hips it's normally when working and figuring out solutions
Agreed!
and when guys do put their hands on their hips, they often place them lower on their body than a cis woman would!
Comment anything i might have missed or improvements I could make :) full playlist : czcams.com/play/PLazd2y1qlOcAE7ZKb5iUx9yCNdZwD00Rr.html
AHHH thank you so muchhhhh!! , I'm a trans male (13) and I don't wanna do testosterone because I could regret it. Obviously I can't alter my body because I don't want to and it's dangerous for kids, I'm already pretty masculine, I'm pretty chubby and my jaw is way more masculine. The lunch ladies always called me "young man" whenever I was in public school, it gave me a rush of adrenaline and happiness. I don't have a deep voice that much but I definitely don't look like a girl, I also have muscles along with my slightly chubby figure, I also wear male clothing, I'm getting a binder soon! But I bind with my sports bras for now. I might start a discord server to help other trans men, you really inspired me and also helped a lot. đ€ I really appreciate you, thank you.
Iâm so happy for you!!! If you know any, do you have any tips that the video didnât cover? Iâm curious since I apparently donât pass that well in public. My parents donât support either lol
@@ghostlygears best tips I can give is try your best. If you don't have a binder layered clothing could work well!, try dressing masc and tying up your hair, wearing a beanie, try working with your vocal cords and try changing your voice to sound masc, there's some tuts on CZcams. I forgot I watched this so idk if the person gave these tips but I hope everything works out for you!, your valid and don't forget. You'll always be a boy. Don't listen to the hate.

i think makeup actually helps me pass if i contour my cheekbones and nose but that might not be for everyone!
Yessss the nose contouring really gives me euphoria
Amazing video. I love that it's very well explained and organised. I hope more people discover your channel because it's very helpful for trans guys.
Thanks so much :)
yesssss someone mentions body language!!! great video dude! only thing is im pretty sure youre not supposed to wear the tape as long because it has less room for movement and breathing. in cosplay we call it open chest binding, and we only do it when the character had an open shirt because binders are safer and can be worn longer
look at what the boys around you are wearing and copy them
what the boys around me wear: adidas pants, supreme shirts, and soccer socks with white sneakers
what if i want style tho.
I feel you. I dress femininely, but not the way that girls at my school do. I like to be ~fancy~
The thrift store is your best friend. Almost every article of clothing I own is second hand. If you are on the larger side, it will be harder to find great clothes, though. There are simply more clothes in smaller sizes. Maybe you can wear suits. Like, generic teacher suits.
okay but like i really love this. omg you're so underrated. đđ

Thanks for this video ! I'm a trans guy, and I'm pre T, I need to get my hair cut differently, because mine is feminine even though I go to the barber.
Good news, this video helped me build up the courage to tell my dad that I want to wear a binder and stuff so as to pass as more masculine! Bad news, he was talking down to me the entire time and didn't listen to what I was trying to say.
hey man, at least you tried! imho a "no" is better than a "what if". at least then you have the closure to move forward. it SUCKS, but it'll pass. (and so will you đ)
Wow, that was really well put together. I agree with everything you mentioned. You were respectful while you were at it. I have seen a few transmen complained about not being able to pass...while they're wearing a dress/skirt with makeup on. The reality is...if you want to pass as male but leaning towards feminine looking.....you're going to be mistaken as a female. Those who tend to pass really well as men tend to do all or most of everything you had mentioned in this video.
This guide is very helpful! It looks like I'm already on the right track with a lot of these. I cant help but feel a little bitter at how we have to do all of this analysing and tweaking just to be perceived as who we are while others don't even have to think about it, but I try to remember that things worth having don't come easy.
im not trans but these videos help me to do vocal impressions so thank you a lot :)
You see, I wanna look masculine, but I don't wanna look straight

I recommend Spectrum Outfitters for Binders as well. They are UK based. Although at face value the look more expensive with the shipping youâd pay for GC2B it works out at around the same price. They also only have the compressing material on the front meaning less strain on your back.

Fair warning for the minoxidil, please be very careful if you have pets. This is very poisonous to cats and even kill them, please if you have animals think about this. Along with that please try this on your wrists before putting it on your face, you could be allergic. My personal use, is it helped a bit, but I was unbearably itchy after five days and had to rinse it out and throw it out so no animals can get a hold of it.
If you have type 4c hair like me you can get dreads and twist because they look amazing
Iâm a trans femboy tho-
then do whatever makes you feel comfortable. the things in these videos arenât necessary, your physical form doesnât define your identity :))
remember passing is not a necessity, people who don't pass are just as trans as people who do and looks are not the determining factor of your gender identity and passing is not the goal of everyones trans journey.
Hey man, brilliant video! Can I ask, how did you get a little avatar of you & sync up with the narration?
Thank you! And itâs an iPhone thing called Animoji but you can get apps for it on other phones :)

Honestly I didnât know a lot of the stuff on this list and I really needed this so thank you!(Gonna send this to my friend who recently came out to me as trans ftm hehe)
Thanks for this...I really needed some help so..hehe
Tip for dudes with a femme voice, hum with your head going up and down until your vocal chords don't feel tight, then open your mouth. Feel how your throat kind of opens too? Close your mouth, but keep your throat open. Relax your shoulders, and talk. That should make your voice sound deeper.
thank you! you've helped so much.
Thanks for the tips I got called sir for the first time:)
I do the slow talking all the time, it helps with my voice a lot, sure it makes me quieter but it makes me more comfortable, I also found working out can decrease chest size, and there are certain workouts to help get a smaller chest, doing basically any arm workout can help
Thanks for sharing buddy
:)
The thumbnail âyou too shall pass!â Is too funny heheh
And remember that gender expression and gender are DIFFERENT. I was uncomfortable at first wearing funky earrings because I was afraid not to "pass", but seeing Frederic Chen's channel and his amazing looks made me more confident to express myself however I want. Remember, you do not HAVE TO pass to be considered transgender. If you feel like something feels uncomfortable for you, don't do it.
yoooo this video is so good!! im rlly thankful that i look masculine already and that my hair helps me pass more even though it's kinda long. still might use some of these tips tho!
Iâm glad it was helpful man!
Great video for Trans men :) , Im a Pre T trans man & I been sitting like a man since i was a kid & and fighting with myself 3 years ago trying to see what was wrong with me.... Started wearing clothes from the mens section & was comfortable for once in my life. So picking mens clothes come natural to a trans they just pick what they like on them. Already people think im a boy for thats great for me :D , and body shape not much of a choice people have depends on your bone structure too & Body fat. Im im hoping for Inverted triangle.
I keep coming back to your videos aha
one tip for walking to help your hips sway less is imagine a line on the ground from where you are to where you're going and walk with one foot on either side of the line, instead of walking on the line. walking with your feet directly in front of each other reads more feminine, so avoiding that can be good â€
âthe pictures slowly get worseâ HAD ME DYINHGGG also this is really helpful
Hi! I know that not many people will even want to follow this or have a strong connection with their hair but I'm native american and I care a lot about my hair, so here's my tip for long haired men:
(ps, i only have tips for straight or wavy hair, sorry.)
-Wear in tight, low ponytails.
-Comb hair-line back and put into a poorly done bun, dont worry about it being too high.
-Copy the tight low ponytail but put it into a really tight braid, try not to make it too fluffy, it might seem feminine.
-Let it free, no need to style it, your long hair is just as masculine as short hair!
i got referred to as a boy by mistake but they never bothered to fix it and im feelin really good đâš
Thank you so much this video helped so much!!!!!
Omg this helped so much thx :D
So glad I could find this
i saw this video months ago, i think it's actually the first video abt trans stuff that i saw, i was refusing to accept that I'm trans and stuff like that. but now a couple months later, i came out 2 months ago:))) this video is basically where my gender crisis began hahaha
On my first day of going out for shopping groceries after coming out and being confident with it I still was insecure about my walk. Because I have really obvious feminine hips and legs and I have to wear heels due to knee problems I automatically was swinging my hips a lot. A lot. So I spend an hour walking with my hands down my pockets because that would restrict me from swinging my hips freely if I forgot about it and I had such muscle strain at the end of the day just from walking like a normal person. 10/10 would do again.
I know you posted this so long ago but I hope youâre doing good! Iâve never heard about wearing heels to help with knee pain. Do you still have to wear them? Also, have you tried those kinds of mens shoes with hidden height added to the heel? I donât know if those would be high enough to help, but I thought I would mention it, in case you havenât heard of those before â€
I just want to say this to yall:
