Hey I have a question is there anyway to like select a full prefab. For example if I drag in a house, I have the full house selected, than I click on something else, and go back to the house, but I can only select on part of the house

Im glad they kept most of the engine the same as regular UE5. Makes this very nice to use for some basic familiarty with UE5

And someone can use it as a learning experience for unreal engine. Pretty clever

The fact that people can work on the map and it changes in real time reminds me of ARMA 3s Zeus mode(of which i see makeing a comeback in fornitght)

41:00 Sensei uses a low tool strength painting tool to smooth out a transition between the grass and the pebbles beneath his river, under the paint section of landscape mode, there is a smooth option that will take into account which layer you have selected in order to easily/seemlessly smooth out these transitional area in your landscape.
Honestly, one of the better get started tutorials out there. Very clear on how tools works and build a simple "game". I hope to see more tutorials from you in the future :)

The Unreal Fortnight Editor is great because it is much simpler to build a level and run it as in the standard unreal engine.

Could you do another video of anymore shortcut keys if there are anymore? Also how to add different layers of terrain? For example mine doesn't show sand? Or snow? How would I go about adding that?

Eagerly awaiting an update video! Sadly had to stop halfway through because everytime I try to paint my landscape, the editor crashes. Have tried a few different fixes and it always crashes the second I start paint, but doesn't give an error reason.
Update: Right after commenting thought of one last thing to try. Temporarily changed my scalability to low and now it works.

I finally installed the game two days ago to play with my sister and I'm honestly kind of blown away by the creative stuff. I stumbled upon "my island" when looking around the menu. Then I did some searching and found out UE has a dedicated version for Fortnite!? And now in this video I find that you can do live edits between the game and the editor, live! with everything running at the same time... This is extremely well done I have to say!

Hi! I know you are not making many videos but i would love something with pavements, I don't find a nice video about how to make these pavements and curbs. Like how the game devs make it so the landscape and the curbs are seamless, or how the pavements are following the curbs, would real devs use spline for road or would they rather paint it on the landscape? etc. . You probably won't see this or make video about it but i would appreciate it. haha

hi! I made a nice little 2 vs 2 Shooter Map with Unreal Editor. But i dont know how to edit the start weapons. I mean, i can spawn them in front of the player. But i want that you can shoose your weapons in a "loading screen" like other games. I hope you understand what i mean haha :D

What if u have grid snapping turned on but your walls still don't snap together and u have to try and fit them together exactly manually?
