    Hi wondering if you could give me some advice, would you recommend getting the drz kit with or without electronics?(I am new to micro scale drifting but not to the hobby btw) also what gyro upgrade would you recommend?

    • @selfmadecouch
      @selfmadecouch  Před 4 lety

      Arthur Green so if you have the cash or don’t mind waiting to get electronics. I would just get the kit. If you stick with it you’ll eventually be replacing all the electronics that came with it so might as well just get the kit and spend the extra cash for better electronics. And I would recommend the yokomo v4 gyro because of its adjustments and how smooth it is.

      @@selfmadecouchThanks for the help, I'm am a little tight on cash dont want to put in too much money because i may not like it (i think i will) . i might stick with the all included kit, and in the future upgrade.could always sell off parts which i no longer need.

    Hey man I’m deciding whether or not to go micro and get a rwd for drifter. I’m finding it hard to get comparisons between micro rwd drift car models, brands and builds. Untill I just found this video! Hopefully u can help me out. So after many hours of CZcams it seems the drz is one of the most popular, great quality and customisable. I’m considering buying a drz kit without electronics and hopefully I can salvage some stuff from my other rc’s. 1. I have a controller and receiveri can use, I also have a rc plane that has a gyro and speed control. Would those work in a car? 2. Assuming I have to buy all the electronics, what would you recommend? I want quality and performance but nothing pro competition spec cause those prices add up. 3. My plan was to make a mini of my Acura integra, but I can’t find any body’s for that, I’m pretty set on gettin the integra if I’m gona put this much into a build. Hope that’s not too much ☠️🤣 please help if ur able too, this self isolation build is gona be a masterpiece

      Golf Wang sorry for the late reply haven’t checked my inbox but if you go with the DRZ the only electronics I can recommend are the brushless sensored esc and motor from superg.com all brushed motors I’ve tried aren’t smooth enough and make drifting/driving it feel like a toy from target. And your old electronics might work as long as they fit. But a plane speed control might not have the same settings as a on road one,but it could work. You would also need a micro servo and they use a specific size I’m not sure of what size it is but all the ones from superg.com in the miniz/DRZ section should fit. They might have a different connection for the receiver though so you would also need to buy the adapter or swap the connector end

      Helidirect got atomic replacement parts and drift art. Wolfram rc got atomic spares. Assuming you prefer US based dealers.

    Where do you get the ball and turnbuckles?

    • @selfmadecouch
      @selfmadecouch  Před 3 lety +1

      I try and source them where ever I can. The ones in this video I picked up at my local hobby shop called “sheldons hobbies” in San Jose CA. But right now if I were to buy or need any I would go with either atomic drz v2 ball ends and turnbuckles or the ones from the Orlando hunter I believe it’s called.

      Ray Jones look up lipo rc chargers on CZcams and do a little research first. But you will need a charger and the correct charging cable
