Atomic HV servo unboxing

Quick look at some rc parts I got in the mail with an unboxing of Atomics HV voltage servo. Going to do a review later comparing all my servos but my initial thoughts are that I really like this servo.

I rearrange the electronics in my ART v2 chassis, I also swap out my afrc v3 gyro for the yokomo v4 gyro. I am still disappointed on how this servo feels even with the yokomo v4 gyro, I can’t wait to buy the program stick so I can try and mess with the frequency.

Decided to go with installing my new AGFRC V3 servo in my ART v2 chassis! The servo wire is short so I had to place my gyro closer. Not really happy about that so I might swap over to a yokomo V4 gyro soon, it has wire coming out of it so I should be able to place it further back and not have to re solder my servo wire.

In this video I show how your supposed use a reamer or exactly knife to make the hole on the arms a little bit bigger for your knuckle. I have not done this before shipping because you’re knuckle may vary in size from mine, so for less possibility of wobble and play in steering some work is necessary with these. Love the channel and appreciate your honest product insight. I am currently new to drift scene and have been using a Mini Z MA020 for bit and really want to make the transition to a 2wd kit. what is the easiest or most reliable chassis to setup and work on after adding proper performance upgrades. Any advice from experience would be much appreciated. If I spend $400-$700 for a setup I want minimal down time & don’t want to always be fixing a bad design. From all the different videos I have watched the Techstorm XRX DPA Sport looks promising . But then I notice a lot of people run the DRZ v2 but seems it needs more work and is finicky to achieve a good setup? DriftArt 2.5 SE looks awesome but is it for more advanced builders/tuners? Or GLD HRC Arena edition. I’ll run a 98mm mini z body with Futaba 4pm transmitter. Thanks! 🤙🏼

I very nearly bought one when they were first released, based on what I have just seen I'm glad I didn't !! I find it incredible that BnD can release something that has obviously been "rushed" and not developed sufficiently. The very poor build quality I'm sure just adds to the misery....
Can you ask “Chan” about the 3-D printed body that was advertised on the pre-order. Never saw it and was never mentioned again. I DM’d you the info.
Great vid. Terrible car. Gotta disagree on the price bit. A full metal mj is like half the price and tried and tested. Parts are easily available in comparison. (and many are the same) mjs pre assembled cars aren’t the best but in my experience at least they run out the box. Must be nice to see ur old motor mount design copied on this car lol.
Mj chassis are so cheap due to the fact that you can get wltoys k9 chassis dirt cheap and mj can still make money off of them (and all he adds are small carbon bits, the car is still mostly plastic). This kit is similar to the k9 but has completely different holes for the bottom deck so all new parts were needed to be made hence the price. This car isn’t meant to be the cheapest or the most budget car out there but for all the carbon an aluminum you get it’s worth it IMO. And he didn’t copy my motor mount lol this style of motor mount has been used for years before I made mine. At this point everyone is just being “inspired” by previous chassis. Only car that has something new/unique is the TRC with active caster in the front.

Concerned about the servo getting in the way of the bodies as well. I have bought that wltoys ball dif and it was horrible that’s my gripe but other than that it Looks rock solid. Interested in the 2nd batch for sure.
The first batch should be getting all the fixes that the second batch is coming with, wouldn’t make much of a difference if you wait or not. I’d just be worried about inflation right now since prices are going up and I’m not sure that these cars will keep the same price… but these ball diffs seem to be pretty good! You may have gotten a bad one or they may have updated the part since the last one you bought! Either way ball diff seems good now!
Ohh also about the servo! Yes it will get in the way with some bodies but theres other smaller servos that might work better! Like the agfrc A11CLS

do you have to swap the wires or just to make them shorter?
I bought a drz gyro cable, opened the gyro and swapped the cable. You can also make it shorter by cutting it and adding you own connectors but the wire will still end up longer than the drz one and after buying all the connectors and materials, it’d be cheaper to just buy the drz gyro cable

Helidirect got atomic replacement parts and drift art. Wolfram rc got atomic spares. Assuming you prefer US based dealers.

Dude, you are brave👍🏻, those kits are very complicate for me, there tiny, you guess and get disappointed when item not installing very well, if find something not working you bench your project and wait for your order to fix it. I respect you guys who build this type ok kits👍🏻, they are pretty expensive too. Another awesome build, very informative and great video.
