- This is the first project at Penders Creek Farms that we were able to video and upload onto our new channel, Hunterworks Outdoors.
We built this duck hole with the intentions of not only killing ducks, but to create memories that will last a lifetime.
We fixed roads, cleared trees, graded the ground, and planted millet. Hope you enjoy.
This channel is highly underrated. This guy explains everything well and knows what he’s talking about. I love it. Keep it up
We appreciate that!!
Got a similar project going at a friends place. You’re very fortunate to have access to all that equipment, makes the work A LOT easier.
Great production and explanation of everything! Good luck this season.
I love watching y'all make this I appreciate you putting up the content it helps the younger generations even older generations learn about this general topic I'm learning how I wanna do mine and some things about ducks I didn't even know! Keep posting about this please 🙏
Watched the whole video then went to look at your subscribers thinking I would see close or over a million subscribers. Was very surprised you don’t have more then you do. Extremely good video. Every duck hunter loves seeing this kinda stuff keep it up
We appreciate it!
That's a dream of mine to be able to have a place like this
Love the project, but you really ought to consider fencing off the “emergency water supply pool” that was dug. An unsuspecting hunter chasing a bird could easily fall off into there and with no slope to speak of could be a bad deal.
Deer could easily fall into there too.
I was telling my Dad that we need to put up either a fence or ribbons because you are right, one of my buddies could stumble in there and that would not be good. Thanks
@@hunterworksoutdoors you got the right idea then, good on you!
Love the videos. A follow up during season after a successful hunt would be awesome!
@@joek.163 We put the risers in the water gate yesterday and expect a lot of rain tomorrow. Will definitely film a hunt or two!
Just a heads up. A lot of times brush piles like that are used like predator condos. Might be worth burning
Thanks man, we took the advice and did some burning around the property!
can we get an update video on how this hole looks now during duck season?
Yes. It has not had water until right now. Currently a tornado warning in our area as I'm typing this.
@@hunterworksoutdoors yall be safe!
It has passed! Will be checking on the hole this afternoon!
@@ryanfrier8876 5" rain came today , overwhelmed the berm again, get to redo this again next year but better. Nothing ventured nothing gained
@@hunterworksoutdoors wont know if you dont try and you learned something. Hard work will pay off brotha!
Can you give details of your water control device. Price, where you got it, size etc
We are redoing this but a 12" and not idea where we got it, had it a long time and repurposed it for this.
@@hunterworksoutdoors is it board type, flexible hose, valve ?
@@hunterworksoutdoors I saw it was board type, does it work good. I’m scared it will leak
@@Badweather12 our dam busted but at the end of the season we had around 3-4 inches of water holding. We have had experience with the boards before and they are great until you have to take them out. Hard to do.
@@Badweather12 not if you put a garbage bag over it
We use Japanese millit hear in west Tn and the ducks love it .once you get everything right it'll be a great place of your own to kill ducks
.
Well how’s she doin?!
Go take a look at our Instagram for a mini update. There was will be a new video coming soon.
@@hunterworksoutdoors heck yea. I’ll sure do it. Gonna subscribe also.
Thank you!
We subscribed to you as well
@@hunterworksoutdoors thanks!
